A bit worn. Right off the highway but not a destination resort. Nice people but not a wonderful place. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

We stayed here overnight in our motor home on the last night of a 7000 mile trip. We called several days earlier to make a reservation and had to give our credit card number, security code on back and expiration date. Also had to give our zip code and house number. Lot's of information for a reservation, don't you think!. When we got there at 4 PM on a Sunday afternoon, the office was closed and no check-in packet. Found our back-in site which had high grass that was wet and site was muddy from rain. Hooked up cable TV, neighbor informed us that the cable TV was turned off in the OFF SEASON. Could not get any local stations on roof top antenna. No WIFI either. We called the office to get WIFI code and only got message. The office called us back late the next day, after we had left. This park looks like a summer fishing camp as it is on the river. Would not stay here again unless I came to fish and the fish had better be biting! We camped here in a Motorhome.
We arrived on a Friday night, and they put us in a full hook up pull through that was very hard to get into. Couldn't use the sewer as it was 30 ft. away. They have the full time live in people mixed in with the campers in the full hook ups, so if possible use the non sewer sites. The power and water sites are much nicer. There's a restaurant on site, but it has strange hours. Doesn't always follow the posted hours of operation. All in all I would go back this summer and check it out again since I know which sites to stay in. The staff was friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Last review was too long ago to be on the money. Nightly rate is with senior discount less local taxes for a riverfront site. Though old, park seems maintained well enough. Has both pull thru & back in; most are pretty close together. There are a number of riverfront sites and there are a number of long term folks. Park is easy on and off fwy however turns can be a little tight within park. Little freeway noise at back but more at front. Some train noise. Seems to be a place that is popular with fishermen as river provides instant fishing access and a boat launch. Park has a very modest store and a cafe that offers breakfast and lunch. Since the Kalama City Park RV park is now a day park only, this isn't a bad alternative. Park management seemed very helpful We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Someone was already in the campsite we had reserved. Staff was no where to be seen. We had to find a different site in the dark. The people who work here are rude, rude and rude! Place is over priced, you will get charged for everything (i.e., dogs per day, a visiting car, people who arrived in the visiting car, if your chair has crossed over the camping line, etc)! Look out! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
