A bit far off I-64 for an overnight, 14 miles of back roads. Our site was dirt, thankfully it did not rain. Water quality was fair, pressure was fine. Restrooms were outdated and very dirty. Road noise moderate, train noise loud all night. At least there was no crossing nearby so you are spared the horn. Fees are collected in cash only. Can't see any reason to return to this place again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is one of the nicest campgrounds you will ever find. The people are friendly and helpful. Large garbage cans are provided, and are emptied daily. Beautiful water access in the form of a shallow, slow-running river. They have all kinds of rafts, canoes, etc., available for rent. There is a very active railroad track across the river, but this didn't bother us any. Matter of fact, watching them only made the place more quaint. The only drawback that we could find is that there is only one washer and dryer. No sewers on site, but there is a dumpstation and provide a pump-out service that is free for extended stays and a charge for shorter stays. We would DEFINITELY camp here again if in the area! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Good, clean, quiet campground. Friendly prompt service and close for the shuttle to run to Greenbrier for supplies. Will go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Beautiful scenery. Camp owner was welcoming and informative about the area. We camped with 4 children and recommenced it for kids. Tube ride on the river was great!! We camped here in a Tent.

Nice location on the river. Only Tent sites right on the river, RV sites are set back some. Tubing and canoeing was great! Several things we did not like. Is is right next to the road, so lots of road noise. The coal trains and Amtrack run are on the other side of the river and it seems they run trains all day and night, so we were constantly being woke up by the noise. No sewer connections available for non-seasonal sites, and they ask you to run the grey water directly on the ground under the trailer. Would not ever stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We had a site right on the river. Walking the bank is fun. This is a campground, not a resort. Slept through the train. Traffic on the highway is not heavy, but it is fast moving. Lots of space around the motorhome. A little far from the interstate for a quick overnight. We would stay again simply as a place to relax. We camped here in a Motorhome.
