It was our first visit to the campground and we were greeted by very friendly staff. The campground was well kept and the sites were well spaced. I agree about the rusty water, but ours soon cleared up too. We camp with small children and we were very happy that they could actually ride their bikes on the road with out a lot of traffic. We would definitely camp there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Beautiful setting with large sites. Appeared to be lots of permanent and/or seasonal residents. Not much competition in the area and a long distance on the interstate between choices. As last year's posters mentioned, the water was discolored at first, but cleared up after letting it run for a few minutes and was not a problem for washing or bathing. The dump station is poorly placed for long rigs requiring a backup to exit the park after dumping. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Agree with the comment about brown water. No matter how long we ran it, it came out rusty brown. That alone made up for an early-morning departure. Other than that, we had a nice site and the "Country Store" lived up to its name. We would not go back unless the water problem was fixed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Beware..Brown water..even with our filters in place. We always carry bottled water, but would not even use this to wash face in. Very primitive. Lots of permanent people. Shame, beautiful site, could be very nice indeed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
