By far nicest KOA I have stayed in. New this year. Washrooms have individual shower toilet and sink. Pool very large, sites level and easy access. Very helpful hosts. All KOAs should follow this standard. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a brand new KOA about 30 miles south of Stevens Point just off I-39. We stayed here on the Sunday night after the 4th of July. After a full weekend, they were only 1/3 full. The 74 sites I listed above are only the RV sites. There is no specific number of tent sites and the cabins are being built. The sites are all full hookup, pull-through, on level gravel pads. They are long and wide. The facilities/amenities (pool, swimming pond, office, lodge, half a dozen individual bathrooms, pet area, playground, etc.) are all new and working. Their Wi-Fi network worked well in our RV. The hot tub is on hold due to stringent local rules. Some work is still being done on the grounds (cabins, fences, landscaping, etc.). The traffic noise from I-39 may bother some people. Except for the price ($50) and lack of cable, this looks like it will be an excellent RV park. The owners are hands on, live on site, and are very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This KOA had been open a month when we stayed there. It has the potential to be a great campground as the staff is eager to please and very friendly. The pool wasn't finished when were there, but it was OK as the weather was cool anyways. Bathrooms and showers were exceptionally clean. I gave it a 9 as the owners are very particular about traffic flow in the campground. The route they want you to take is not marked well and my visitors were given a talking too as they cut through the campground (they stayed on the gravel roads). I would stay here again and hope to when I am in the central WI area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very poor campground given the rates they charge. The place looks half complete all over including the bathrooms and rec. hall. I found the owner, (blond woman in 30s) to be perpetually rude to me and the others in my party even though we were nothing but polite to them. Also, watch out for flooding if it rains in this campground. 1/2" of rain will leave standing water 5" deep in many places! We camped here in a camper.
