We have camped at this campground several times, always just overnight. In the peak summer months, the campground is full, and it appears that the campground has plenty of regular campers, perhaps many for the entire camping season. The campground is located atop a very steep hill with gravel road access, which can at times be problematic. The traffic is one-way and meeting a vehicle coming down while you are going up is a scary experience, especially when you are tugging a 30 foot trailer behind you! Since the park is full most weekends, the rest rooms and showers are used constantly, and there are plenty of children of all ages running around. This is definitely a family oriented campground, so if you are old and stodgy, this isn't for you! The facilities weren't so much dirty as they were overly used and not attended to. The rest rooms and showers are something out of the 1950's vintage, so don't expect modern. The actual RV and tent sites are carved into the contour of the top of this bluff aka hill or mountain. Some of the sites are very spacious and heavily wooded. The campers all seemed to be having a good time and outdoor cooking was predominant with people sitting around open pit fires. The office is located at the bottom of the campground. Visa and Mastercard accepted, but not Discover. Recommend calling ahead for a reservation. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
