The owners were friendly and they have a great bar/restaurant with good food. The lake is clear and clean. There is a ramp and dock space. The trees are so tall, our satellite dish did not get a signal. The is no Wi-Fi, and our Sprint air card did pick up a signal, but it was weak. They said AT&T had a new tower closer by. A good fishing lake, but not during my stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This campground is new in 2006, and still needs to work out some issues. GOOD THINGS: Great shady sites, beautiful location; sites are pretty private, with lots of trees/shrubs between sites. Very natural--not groomed and manicured to death. Everybody here uses ATVs on the trails, which are very close by. Great natural place to use as base for exploring the area or going on the ATV. NOT SO GOOD: there was no map (they had run out of copies); site was not level, so it took a lot to level our rig; check in was in the bar and poorly marked; no clue where to put trash; seems to be mostly seasonal; few rules so there was one very loud and long night (out of 3 nights there); very few amenities. We camped here in a Motorhome.
