This is boondocking at it's best. If you want to camp it does not get any better than this. Most sites are large, but few are perfectly level, so bring blocks. The roads are narrow and backing into sites can be a bit of a challenge if you have a large RV. The reservation web site lists site details. This place fills up fast, you have to book almost a year in advance. There are miles of paved bicycle trails and nice sandy shore lines. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
An annual campground for me, even though there are no hookups available (1 handicap site has electric & water). Arrived on a friday night and was able to camp on a site which was not reserved for that evening and moved to a first-come site the next morning. The ReserveAmerica farce of a system is getting better- but still leaves much to be desired. Even though the state laws were changed, the ranger would not let us camp on a vacated first-come site. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
