4 RV Parks near Aliceville, Alabama
Oct 2011 - $7.00
This is a nice park on the Tenn-Tom Waterway. Staff was nice at check in and helpful. This park has tree sites and open sun sites with trees in rear of site. Sat. systems will work on most sites but not all. We could pick up a number of channels over the air on TV. You have sites 1 through 10 with 30/50 amps, water, table, fire ring, and the hook pole. Sites 1 through 10 are in open sun and Sat systems will work here. All others sites are 30 amps. Sites are cement, level and have a trash can. Nice dump station on the way out of park. Park is very dark at night with very little lights. No noise in this park. Verizon cell and MiFi air card worked fair here. The price was due to Golden Age card. Gates are locked at 10:00 pm and you have an exit gate to get out if you need to start before gates are open but cannot get in due to tire killers on this exit. If you like to fish or rest this is a great place to do it. Nice to see the tugs boats moving up and down the water way with large barges. Only bad part here is the two miles of rough road from Hwy 17 to gate house. State needs fix this problem, drive slow and you will be OK. - John Blue

I do a lot of fishing, and I'll tell you that this is one of my favorite places to camp. The Park manger's are the nicest people. They keep the place in good condition. It's not a big campground, but that's what I like about it, there's a lot of peace AND quiet. The kids can run AND play without you being worried they'll get run over or hurt. And at night it's quiet, not a lot of hoopla being carried on. I camp here three or four times a year. Really, I could fill a whole page about how great this place is, if you want to go and relax, and get away from it all. TRY IT!!! You'll go back. - Crappie Lips

Typical COE park - good layout, well spaced. There are plenty of sites at this campground (176). All the waterfront sites are walk-up only. The waterfront sites on Riverside Loop are right on the water, however, there is a drop-off depending on water level so it would be difficult to access a boat pulled up to the campsite. Most of the waterfront sites on Waterfront Drive are like that also. The pull through sites 114-116 are back away from the water.
TV reception is excellent - all the major networks available. Verizon coverage is 2 out of 5 bars. The terrain is flat - good for bicycles.
Water pressure is high - bring a regulator.
Because of it's remote location, a large number of sites, and a large percentage of those sites walk-up only, this is a good campground to find a spot on a holiday weekend if you don't have reservations. - Bama Camper
Jun 2016 - $14.00
All sites are easy to access because of flat, paved parking. Enjoy the park, enjoy the fishing and enjoy the passing tug boats and barges. Wonderful experience. - Norton Wine Traveler
May 2016 - $12.00
Very clean and well maintained COE park. Staff very friendly. Large back in site next to the lake. We will stay again. - bowl2764
May 2013 - $20.00
A very nice place to spend a few days. The bathrooms/shower are a bit tired, but work well. Unfortunately, we parked over the top of an ant hill and had an invasion. A little spray of ant killer did the trick. Very peaceful and beautiful. - mcsnygg
Feb 2013 - $20.00
We enjoyed our stay here. Host was friendly and helpful. There were about a dozen sites occupied while we were here. Most appeared to be long term. However, their sites were clean and well kept. So, there was no unsightly appearances. We would camp here again. - jwindham

I grew up in this area and have always loved this park. It is located on a 150 acre lak. You can picnic, fish, hike, etc. They have a facility where you can play tennis, soccer, basketball, etc. The only complaint I had this time would be with the bathrooms. I feel they could have been maintained and cleaned better than they were. We did come on a busy week (spring break) and there was a lot of traffic in and out of the bathroom which may account for it being messy. It would not deter me from going again because this is such a nice park and after all you are "camping". They are pet friendly and have a very nice staff. You can come and go as you want and they do not lock the gate at night which is very helpful for late arrivals. All in all don't pass this park up. - User2490
Oct 2016 - $37.00
The park needs TLC. The bathrooms were dirty and full of bugs.
The Wifi and cable were not available.
The owner was friendly on the phone, no staff was present on site.
Expensive for a pad to park for the night. - Dksnapshots
Nov 2015 - $37.00
Site dirty and trash everywhere. Cable and WiFi not working. Becoming a full timers park. This place needs to be closed so that a real RV park can open. Office staff never present. - travelingbone1

We were looking for an overnight spot near Tuscaloosa. Other than the COE site that would have involved extra driving, this seemed to be the only place. We should have driven the extra miles. We called ahead to check on spaces and were told that "she" might not be there when we arrived. We arrived during a thunderstorm. "She" was not there. The self check-in at the "welcome center" was conducted in a swelteringly hot, poorly lit building with a hand-drawn, difficult to read facility map. Since it was storming, we had little choice and picked a site that seemed to have the fewest vertical cracks in the concrete. Old patio furniture was thrown in the woods as well as old wooden privacy fences. We did not encounter another human being the entire night. - Chaplin
