11 Parks near Bay Minette, Alabama
Sep 2016 - $25.00
Very odd park. No facilities but does offer full hook ups and cable. It is halfway between Bay Minette and Stapleton. You have to go to an office in Bay Minette to pay. All utilities work well. Big oak trees offer some good shade. - MajandMrs
Jan 2014 - $25.00
We stayed for a few days and they were really nice. The pull-throughs were taken so we had to detach our towed truck. No restrooms, showers, laundry, Wi-Fi, playgrounds, fire pits, or picnic tables. We were not in a shaded spot, it is mostly wide open but there are some big trees sporadically around. - Eric and Angi
Nov 2014 - $30.00
Contrary to the listing, it can accommodate up to 45' big rigs on some sites; the smallest site will fit a 30' rig. The RV sites have been updated recently and are all gravel. Most are level. It's a beautiful rustic setting by a river, NOT a resort. It draws a few fulltimers but park policy is to limit the number of these so that there are spaces for recreational campers readily available. Very helpful staff. Feels very secluded, but only 5 miles from major shopping areas. - nationcruiser
Mar 2014 - $30.00
An underdeveloped state park campground. Wooded, hilly, with dirt/gravel road, with widely separated semicircular pull-through sites that conform to the sloping terrain, i.e., uneven, needing leveling. They did have water/sewer/electric by the site. Did not see a bathhouse. There was a historic battle here with an old town site a mile away. Not much to see. At $30 overpriced. Strictly an expensive overnight stop. There is a Meaher Alabama state park south about 7 miles that is much superior, that I didn't know of. - 210jem
Sep 2013 - $1.00
We did not stay here, but drove through on Labor day weekend. The CG is very "unimproved." The roads are gravel, steep and washed out, and while there is full hook ups, it looks like someone went through with a dozer, cleared off some semi circle areas and put in full hook ups. This could be a jem if they ever go through and level out the sites, asphalt the roads and RV sites and asphalt the historic park. To us it looks like it is run on the bare minimum of dollars, such a shame. That said, if you have a smaller rig, say under 28 foot, do not mind being unlevel but like the place to yourself, you may love this park! We went through on Labor Day weekend and saw maybe 2 or 3 units. I would not recommend this as a big rig campground even though some of the pull throughs are huge. The turns are tight and you have trees to contend with as well. - buffy
Jun 2015 - $30.00
It was difficult navigating the narrow, tree-lined roads in our 42' motor home towing our car. If there were a better choice in the neighborhood we would stop there, but this is it for that area.
It is fairly easy to reach from I-65.
Noise was not a problem. - Pamela R.
Nov 2012 - $30.00
We used this as an overnight stop and, as such, it worked OK, but I'd never stay longer than overnight. This park is mostly permanents with tight, cramped spaces. The trees need major trimming. The lady in the office was very pleasant and helpful, however. Nothing at all special. We will probably not return. - Gypsy Turtles
Jul 2010 - $29.00
Overnight stay. Arrived 4pm, and escorted to our site quickly. Used Good Sam discount. Site was very level. A kids party was going on upon arrival but they stopped as quiet hours started. Park is full of a lot of permanent residents. Most of them are very well kept. All were friendly. We could barely hear the traffic from our RV but walking the dogs you can definitely hear it. Nice large trees and birds abound. Enjoyed the stay. - SiteCR2
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Very nice RV Park. Not far from either Mobile, Daphne, or Spanish Fort, Alabama. Right down the road from the USS Alabama, and all the fresh seafood that you would care to eat.
There is one drawback at this park. I had read the comments concerning them, however I did not take heed. The dreaded ANTS. Do not fail to bring ant KILLER!!!
Other than those critters, the park was nice, clean, and quiet. - MSGLeatherneck
Jun 2016 - $40.00
We've traveled from Phoenix, AZ for the past 8 days and this was the most expensive campground. It also had the best view and nice tall pines, so it was worth the few extra dollars. No internet, but level site pads for pull-throughs. Full hook-ups made it easy to set up. Would recommend. - Caro
Jan 2016 - $32.00
Rate reflects 15% senior discount given except Sat. Full hookups, free wifi. Easy on and off I-10. Some noise from Mobile Bay Causeway truck traffic, yet mostly quiet. Site #6 offered clear view for satellite signal. No sugar ants this stay because it was so cold. Fishing pier. Good birding. Security gate currently not working. Standup grills. - SunStar203
May 2016 - $30.00
The managers of the park are rude if you ask them to do anything, i.e.: cut grass or wifi not working. Speed limit is 5MPH EXCEPT for the manager female that flies thru park on golf cart. NO PETS ALLOWED in club house. (Which seems to be manager's personal living room.) Walk in, and it smells of cat urine with cats roaming around. This is pretty bad. Would never stay in this place again. HOPE the owner pulls a surprise visit at this place. Surprise. - Chickenfeed
Feb 2016 - $30.00
Park was rundown. Buildings (bathrooms, shower, laundry, office and clubhouse) needed repairs and cleaning. Grass hadn't been mowed in months. Several fire ant hills. We asked the manager to do something about them and they ignored us. It would take a couple days to get propane tank filled. - TN_VolsFan
Feb 2016 - $20.00
This park is easily accessible with I-10. The interior roads are tight up front with a little more room in the back. Some roads paved, some not. All sites are grass and pretty level. Utilities all worked well. Good Verizon signal. WiFi was variable. Three individual restroom/shower rooms were ok. Laundry room clean with six of each. Not a bad stop but nothing special. All people very friendly. - cwier
Sep 2016 - $10.00
Wintering here on lot #46. Gravel / grass, picnic table & wifi. Great hosts. Beautiful bathrooms / showers and laundry facility. There are some concrete pads for overnight guests. Love this place. Nice walk area for pets. Large spacious sites, plenty of room. - TN_VolsFan
Jul 2016 - $31.00
Well kept RV Park that is a great place to stop, when traveling or to get away from the maddening crowds. Concrete pad (although some are grass) and level site. WIFI was good!
Park is primarily for adults and the people running it were friendly.
Although we didn't use the restrooms or showers, they were very clean and nicely decorated.
Will definitely visit again! - Navretiree
Jun 2016 - $17.00
Very clean with HUGE sites. Any size coach can be accommodated. Satellite TV reception good. Didn't use wifi. Quiet & peaceful and the people were very friendly. Garbage pick up at site but we didn't know that so had to go way across the place to the dumpsters. There are some concrete pads but they could use more as the sites are sandy and I would imagine soft when it rains. There were a couple of tricky turns for a large coach, made trickier with a bit of construction, when approaching the location but it was doable. It's a nice place that we wouldn't hesitate to stay at again. - tb919
Jun 2016 - $27.00
Pretty big rv park. Just passing thru, so just looking for somewhere clean and safe with a mediocre wifi. Very level site, very nice staff, better than expected wifi...we even were able to stream Netflix with a few restarts. Adding to list of stopover places, will return!! - TXTread
May 2015 - $18.00
We stopped for a quick overnite. The check in went without a hitch. Got a site that worked with our request for satellite, water was excellent taste and good pressure. Very pretty CG with big trees and 2 ponds. Roads are rough, but it was dry so not a problem. Grass at most sites. Ours had a small picnic table and was pretty level. I would camp here again. Very pretty tucked back in the trees. - likeabirdie
Jun 2014 - $16.00
PPA Rate of $16. Very rural and quiet. Quite a number of full-timers. Site was not level, very slanted, no gravel just dirt. iFi was non-existent. - OurRVLife
Apr 2015 - $25.00
Me and my wife enjoy staying here. We always have fun here and enjoy the outdoor environment. It's located right next to a river so the water is nice and cold. They also have 2 pools, one inside and one outside, plus a lot of other things to do like basketball courts, volleyball, playground, fitness room, fishing on lake, horseshoe pits, big outdoor covered outdoor gazebo area where they have karaoke on weekends and TV's for football/NASCAR. The only negative I have is it needs some fixing up and sites need leveling out better. - Bama72
Aug 2014 - $14.00
The rate is Coast to Coast which includes $4/nt for 50 amps. This is a membership park and mostly well maintained. There is not much to do in the area. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are nice. The negative of this park is that the interior roads need maintenance. They are narrow and lots of ruts and bumps. Also the map of the campground didn't match the directional orientation of the sites, however, they do escort you to the site which is very helpful. The Internet is very unreliable, which is another negative. They have a lot of activities, especially if you there on a weekend. - JGockel
Apr 2014 - $1.00
This campground is part of Ocean Canyon where we have a membership, so our stay was paid for through our membership. Not really free. Interior roads are rough asphalt, very narrow with curbs to control water run-off. Sites are hard-packed sand. Very little grass and the clubhouse and restrooms are old and in need of maintenance. Wireless Internet was available, but unreliable. Frequent server resets made accessing the Internet frustrating. We will not return. - waywardwind
Sep 2016 - $35.00
This was a mid-week overnight stop for us. Many vacant sites. Our's was level and spacious. Park is tucked away and quiet. It is located on the Styx River and has back-in sites on the river. Owners are friendly, almost too friendly, and vigilant. They charge $5 for any extra vehicles at the site. Surveillance cameras alert them to who comes and goes and will respond to sites when a non-registered vehicle enters the park a visits a tenant. We would stay here again. - Joe-n-Doe
Jun 2016 - $35.00
The owners have owned this park since February, 2016. The sites are level and paved. Interior roads are also paved. It is located on a dead-end street. There is another RV park as well as an ATV park on this road. The park was quiet; owners friendly. Most are pull-through sites. For an extra fee back-in sites along the Styx River are available. We would stay here again. - oldbluejay
Mar 2016 - $33.00
Super nice with long pull thru sites and beautiful back ins on the river. Stopped here for an overnight on the way to Florida. Wish I could have stayed a week! So nice, so pretty, so quiet and clean. - Bill & Karen Smith
Apr 2016 - $20.00
We arrived late and could barely understand the speech of the park kiosk attendant and the instructions on how to find our site (he was out of maps) so we got on the wrong road and had an ordeal turning our 43' bus around. Went back to the kiosk and no one was there. Some helpful campers gave us directions to find the campground and then we were shocked to see how narrow the pull-through actually was. We made it by backing in and managed to get hooked up. Since it was only overnight, we did not see anything more of the campground or the surrounding area except for some questionable characters around us. Wish we had stayed in the Walmart parking lot. I would not recommend this to anyone except as a last resort. - coloradoflyfisher
Nov 2014 - $20.00
Of all the parks we stayed at on our 5 month trip through the south this is one of only two where I would probably not return.
The park was a typical county run park. a little run down and need of a little clean up but overall not bad.
Unfortunately it is in a really run down part of town. Venturing to and from after dark seemed like a really bad idea. The roads in and out were not in very good shape. - digger2280
Jan 2014 - $22.00
Stayed here for one night only. Was good for the price. Very woody, sites not real close to others. Getting to the park was kind of through a residential area, but not too bad. Going out was through a more iffy part of town so I was glad it was morning and not midnight. Would probably stay again if needed overnight. - lpoebowen
