Before arriving was somewhat concerned since this park does not take reservations except during Talladega. Fortunately they had sites when we arrived late afternoon on a Saturday. Staff showed us a drawn map and said we could pick any site that was not hi-lited. We picked site 1 and were then told they were not sure if it was empty or not but we could drive down to it and if it was park. If not, come back to office and pick another. So we dropped our tow, got in the car and drove to site 1 which was obviously occupied and had been for sometime. Go back to office to be told "oops, that's the owner's landscaper's site and he has been there for 5 years!". Were told to pick another site from map. We chose to look out the office/gas station window across the parking lot and pointed to the first open site we saw. The site was the only one with a little gravel left and no mud puddles. Granted it was right on the main drag and lots of road noise but upon further investigation of park, it was probably the best choice since it was obvious there are lots of long timers and it is more congested and tighter the closer you get to the lake. Our view was of the boat and RV storage next door but we at least had a little more space for our 37 ft motorhome and tow car. The site was pretty dirty when we parked. Lots of cigarette butts everywhere and no picnic table. We had to blow off the concrete patio. Site was level. Will probably try another campground if ever in the area again. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Planned a 1 night stay, checked in and was told to park at space 19. No one else was any where around us. Got up and was totally blocked in by trucks and boat trailers. No way to get out. Management said the only thing they could do was to tow them. I went to those in charge of the fishing tournament and they unhitched a trailer and pushed it out of the way so we could leave. This was done before management could even get to our site. Not pleased with how they did not care. Did not get to enjoy our time there. Very disappointed. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large park (200+ sites) and they do not take reservations unless there is a race in Talladega. You check in at the gas station (Chevron) which has a well stocked convenience store. The roads are easy to navigate in and out. We stayed March 6-13, 2017. We were in site #4 which is right next to the parking lot for the boat ramp so there was a little car noise but not bad. The site was gravel and very level. It was just long enough for our 37-foot class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. There is a picnic table and small cement patio. Hooks up were all easy to get to and use, water pressure was good. The lake views are pretty and the park is quiet. WiFi was fair and our Verizon signal was good. We paid $30.69 a night with our Good Sam Discount. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

I checked in at the gas station (Chevron) where the campground registration is and was waited on right away. I was assigned site #9, which is the closest to the lake as you can get. Site was a pull thru and just long enough for my 25 foot motorhome and car trailer to fit. View was fantastic and it was very quiet as I was siting alone from the other RV's in the campground. Full hookup worked just fine even with temps hovering around low 30's. If you are a boating enthusiast, there are docks for you to tie up at. There is a landing right there along with a snack bar. Gas station is a mini-mart, there is a liquor store and other amenities on site. Grounds were patrolled by employees in a pickup truck during the day and into the evening and I would assume during the night (I didn't stay up to make sure). Had good TV reception via antenna and Verizon phone worked just fine. I stayed for 2 nights and I would come back here again. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

The park is nice but we did not enjoy it as much as when we were here before. Previously we stayed in Oct. for a night. The view was spectacular & the park was not crowded. This time it was summer & there were a lot of 5th wheels & campers for the fishing & boating. We could barely see the lake because all the spaces at the water's edge were taken with long term guests. The view was clear in Oct. When we arrived they told us to pick any spot we wanted. We barely made it around the perimeter of the park because there was a repair shop working on boats that were blocking the way. That wasn't the case in Oct. either. This is a great place for launching a boat. If that's what you are looking for come during the summer. If it is a quiet peaceful stay with beautiful views come during the off season. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Nice lakefront. We were passing through for one night only. The place was pretty empty so we chose site 5. Tight pull through with our 45' + tow. No shade or privacy between sites. Some permanents. It isn't worth going back and risking damage to our RV electrical system. We had to run our gen all night due to faulty electric hookup. There was no one qualified to help. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Easy in and out, most sites are pull through. WiFI is up and down more than a yo-yo. Actually, down more than up, even in their laundry area. No one monitors the speeding of vehicles in the park. There are full hookups and a great view of the lake. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean park and friendly staff. Only saw two geese and a little goose droppings. Lots of boats on Saturday as a fishing tournament was on, but cleared out Saturday night and was quiet on Sunday morning. Got the Good Sam discount down to $22.50. Narrow sites with picnic tables at most sites. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

We were taken back by the closeness of the sites. The Wi-Fi did not work. The campsite had not been cleaned from the last group and there was plenty of trash left for us to pick up. The park was along the side of a lake which was quite pleasant, but it was almost 7 miles from the Interstate through a city. Not a problem for us, but some may not like the distance. There were quite a few permanent campers. Overall, fair stay, but, probably would not stay here again. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Easy in and out. Wide, pull through, gravel sites with concrete patio and picnic table. No evidence of geese as previous poster remarked. Would stay here again. Lots of fishermen parked adjacent but no issue as all were gone on Monday. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

As previously noted this campground has a geese problem, droppings everywhere, picnic table covered. Otherwise clean nice park with terrific views. When crowded, sites could be tight. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

The park is great for people wanting access to Lake Logan Martin. It is cleaned and well-maintained, quiet, mostly gravel with some grass. We were here for only one night and had to unhook to get level. The Internet was spotty during the evening, but worked great the next morning. We would stop here again. This a nice clean park, but it is mostly for big time fisherman . Sites are OK but very tight . You have maybe 10 on the door side for a picnic table . Sewer for the next lot is also right in front of you . Dogs are welcome here. You will hear a lot of barking all over the park. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

We utilized this lakeside campground last week prior to the Talladega NASCAR race, and came back after the race. During race week they do not honor the Good Sam discount. I'm sure that is a busy time for them, but prior and after the race, the park is very quiet and peaceful. The laundry facility is on site, but is also used by the public (non-campers). That did not pose any problems, though. The Wi-Fi worked part-time but we had our Verizon card that worked very well. There are tons of easy, long pull through sites, and a nice view of the lake from several sites. Also, there's lots of piers for fishermen. There is plenty of space for parking boats and extra vehicles. We would definitely return. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.
