We've stayed here several times on NASCAR weekends. They always put us in site #1 which has no trees and across from the boat launch area. We like this park because it's clean & easy to get to Talladega via the backroads. The park is right on the lake with great views. The staff are really nice and helpful. WiFi was good. Satellite had no issues. 1/2 of the park has monthly sites, the other half are nightly sites. It's kind of funny how they decorate their rigs with Bama & Auburn swag! We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Wifi was one of the better ones. Nice level sight. A quiet camp. Roads were easy to get around on. Laundry was the most expensive ever at $3.50 a load in brand new machines. Dryer $1.00 for 16 minutes. This campground is 18 miles from the speedway - no traffic using the back way but we went early. The Dega Brewhouse was nice place to have a drink in Talladega. A beautiful view above all of the lake. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on the way home from a trip. Beautiful lake view. Super friendly staff and grounds were clean. There are a lot of full time residents in their RV's here but all so friendly and helpful. Lots of pull through sites...lake view sites are back in. Good Sam discount made it a good value. I would stay here again. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Our second visit. We wanted to visit the Talladega Speedway and this is the only full-time park we were aware of. Most of the 'Resort' is filled with long-term residents. Trailers are in various states of repair/disrepair and surrounded by all the residents' belongings that would not fit in or under the units. The biggest draw is the lake and fishing, it appears. The restrooms inside the park have an unacceptable odor and many of the short-term sites are near those restrooms. Many of the other restrooms (in the office building) have doors that don't lock. In the laundry room (also in that building), only one or two of the washers and dryers are in working order. The staff is helpful - after they have finished checking in all the boaters or answering questions of the long-term residents. We were told to go pick out our site (they gave a map and pointed out the sites we could pick from) and call when we had made our selection. The park is apparently under new ownership and we got the impression from conversations that attempts may be underway to reduce the long-term population by changing the monthly payment policy. We would not return. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This was our second time staying in this park. It is a large park with close to 200 sites. Many of the sites are full timers but they are kept up pretty well. It is easy access into the park and also in the park. You check in at the gas station which has your basic needs. Check in was fast and friendly. We were in Site 4, a gravel pull through with full hook-ups, no issues and 50 amp electric. The site was just long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car and about average width.

The park is quiet and there is a boat ramp and docks. There is also storage next to the park. Plenty of places to walk the dog. Laundry room was good. WiFi was good as was our Verizon signal. We stayed December 6 - 13, 2017 and paid $29.70 a night with our Good Sam discount. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Before arriving was somewhat concerned since this park does not take reservations except during Talladega. Fortunately they had sites when we arrived late afternoon on a Saturday. Staff showed us a drawn map and said we could pick any site that was not hi-lited. We picked site 1 and were then told they were not sure if it was empty or not but we could drive down to it and if it was park. If not, come back to office and pick another. So we dropped our tow, got in the car and drove to site 1 which was obviously occupied and had been for sometime. Go back to office to be told "oops, that's the owner's landscaper's site and he has been there for 5 years!". Were told to pick another site from map. We chose to look out the office/gas station window across the parking lot and pointed to the first open site we saw. The site was the only one with a little gravel left and no mud puddles. Granted it was right on the main drag and lots of road noise but upon further investigation of park, it was probably the best choice since it was obvious there are lots of long timers and it is more congested and tighter the closer you get to the lake. Our view was of the boat and RV storage next door but we at least had a little more space for our 37 ft motorhome and tow car. The site was pretty dirty when we parked. Lots of cigarette butts everywhere and no picnic table. We had to blow off the concrete patio. Site was level. Will probably try another campground if ever in the area again. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Planned a 1 night stay, checked in and was told to park at space 19. No one else was any where around us. Got up and was totally blocked in by trucks and boat trailers. No way to get out. Management said the only thing they could do was to tow them. I went to those in charge of the fishing tournament and they unhitched a trailer and pushed it out of the way so we could leave. This was done before management could even get to our site. Not pleased with how they did not care. Did not get to enjoy our time there. Very disappointed. Overall Rating:

This is a large park (200+ sites) and they do not take reservations unless there is a race in Talladega. You check in at the gas station (Chevron) which has a well stocked convenience store. The roads are easy to navigate in and out. We stayed March 6-13, 2017. We were in site #4 which is right next to the parking lot for the boat ramp so there was a little car noise but not bad. The site was gravel and very level. It was just long enough for our 37-foot class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. There is a picnic table and small cement patio. Hooks up were all easy to get to and use, water pressure was good. The lake views are pretty and the park is quiet. WiFi was fair and our Verizon signal was good. We paid $30.69 a night with our Good Sam Discount. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

I checked in at the gas station (Chevron) where the campground registration is and was waited on right away. I was assigned site #9, which is the closest to the lake as you can get. Site was a pull thru and just long enough for my 25 foot motorhome and car trailer to fit. View was fantastic and it was very quiet as I was siting alone from the other RV's in the campground. Full hookup worked just fine even with temps hovering around low 30's. If you are a boating enthusiast, there are docks for you to tie up at. There is a landing right there along with a snack bar. Gas station is a mini-mart, there is a liquor store and other amenities on site. Grounds were patrolled by employees in a pickup truck during the day and into the evening and I would assume during the night (I didn't stay up to make sure). Had good TV reception via antenna and Verizon phone worked just fine. I stayed for 2 nights and I would come back here again. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

The park is nice but we did not enjoy it as much as when we were here before. Previously we stayed in Oct. for a night. The view was spectacular & the park was not crowded. This time it was summer & there were a lot of 5th wheels & campers for the fishing & boating. We could barely see the lake because all the spaces at the water's edge were taken with long term guests. The view was clear in Oct. When we arrived they told us to pick any spot we wanted. We barely made it around the perimeter of the park because there was a repair shop working on boats that were blocking the way. That wasn't the case in Oct. either. This is a great place for launching a boat. If that's what you are looking for come during the summer. If it is a quiet peaceful stay with beautiful views come during the off season. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Nice lakefront. We were passing through for one night only. The place was pretty empty so we chose site 5. Tight pull through with our 45' + tow. No shade or privacy between sites. Some permanents. It isn't worth going back and risking damage to our RV electrical system. We had to run our gen all night due to faulty electric hookup. There was no one qualified to help. Easy in and out, most sites are pull through. WiFI is up and down more than a yo-yo. Actually, down more than up, even in their laundry area. No one monitors the speeding of vehicles in the park. There are full hookups and a great view of the lake. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean park and friendly staff. Only saw two geese and a little goose droppings. Lots of boats on Saturday as a fishing tournament was on, but cleared out Saturday night and was quiet on Sunday morning. Got the Good Sam discount down to $22.50. Narrow sites with picnic tables at most sites. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We were taken back by the closeness of the sites. The Wi-Fi did not work. The campsite had not been cleaned from the last group and there was plenty of trash left for us to pick up. The park was along the side of a lake which was quite pleasant, but it was almost 7 miles from the Interstate through a city. Not a problem for us, but some may not like the distance. There were quite a few permanent campers. Overall, fair stay, but, probably would not stay here again. We camped at Lakeside Landing RV Park & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.
