9 Parks near Cullman, Alabama
Jul 2016 - $23.00
Stayed here twice for 1 night each while passing thru. Pretty setting, no wifi, no cable. Able to get about 15 channels on TV if weather is good. We usually like having wifi and cable but there were very few choices in the area. - ChiefET
Mar 2016 - $35.00
Nice park, friendly staff, pool and putt putt golf is extra, even for residents of the campground. Lots are spacious with a sunny/open exposure. Site surface is gravel and features a fire ring and picnic table. - FerullosCoasting
May 2014 - $25.00
Good park for a weekend getaway. It has a very nice pool. There is a lot of space for the kids to play. The campsites we were in were Very close together. If the adjacent site to mine were occupied I wouldn't have room to extend my awning without hitting the back of their RV. If they had a slide out, I probably wouldn't be able to get out the door. It's a shame they were so cramped, they have lots of space available but chose to cram to campsites into very small areas. Office personnel were extremely nice. There is no cable TV and we were only able to get a signal for 1 over-the-air TV station event though we have a antenna booster. They have WIFI access, but it wasn't working when we stayed there. - Revconguy
Nov 2016 - $25.00
Signage was excellent to find CG which is a few miles off the Interstate. Check in was fast an friendly and owner guided us to our site which was within sight. Utilities were fine and site was level. Only drawback was the showers lacked privacy. This was fine for an overnight. This would be a good spot if doing business/visiting in the area. Fuel and food at Interstate exit. - gumper
Nov 2016 - $23.00
The county roads in were narrow, but no trouble le with just a 20' trailer. MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW SIGNS - NOT GPS, AS GPS WILL TAKE YOU DOWN A GRAVEL ROAD!! The owners did give us a heads up on this when I called to reserve. They were very accommodating, and once checked in, He hopped in a golf cart to show me to our site. The park was quiet & very nice. Water pressure was good. For $23 per night, with water, electric sewer & cable, you won't find a better place in Cullman.
We will be back again next year!!! - John Harris
Oct 2016 - $23.00
We stayed here just one night on our way to our destination. It was further off the freeway than we anticipated. The road into the campground was narrow and very curvy. Getting from the office to our space was also a bit of a tight curve. Staff was super nice and escorted us to our site. Site was very level and nice size. This campground appears to be well used and liked by local people and there must be a lake close by. Many people had boats but none were blocking any roads. Roads were blacktopped and in great condition. all in all, a nice place but unless I knew the area better I won't stay for any length of time. - Let'sGo!
May 2015 - $30.00
No attendant was found. Had to figure it out myself. Restrooms were dirty. Was not satisfied. - elizabeth323
Sep 2014 - $22.00
Excellent location in the woods just off the interstate. Unpaved and ungraded road in. We had a pull-through that was long enough that we didn't have to unhitch the toad. FHU with 30 Amp. Mostly permanent residents in trailers. Free roaming pets, so we had to watch our step any time we left the MH and wipe our shoes often. Each site has a septic vent. Between the droppings and the vents, the pines were not the fragrance we experienced. The exit U-turn among the trees is pretty tight for a full size Class A. I would not have wanted to try it without a spotter. We will not be returning. - LandSchooner
Apr 2010 - $22.00
The campground had what was promised: a level pull-through site, electric, water and sewer. The rest rooms, laundry, and office were in terrible shape. Most campers were permanent residents. The campground was once listed in Woodall's, but no more. Cash or check only. - Illinois_Snowbird
Sep 2005 - $20.00
Very nice location, a bit out of the way and hard to find. The campground is a Christian retreat, with campsites and dorms, although we did not see any of those visitors. The host was very friendly and helpful. Level, gravel sites with some trees. We used the bath house for showers but it was in disrepair, with spiders and bugs in residence. The larger swimming pool was open, but the smaller one seemed to be closed for quite awhile, full of trash. We stayed at the Coast to Coast rate, so at that price, we would stay again. - Makanamommy
Jul 2016 - $28.00
Wow, where do I begin, this is such a strange place. It only has about 12 sites and they are basically just in the middle of a field. Its the most ridiculous check in procedure that I have ever encountered. Its co-located with a golf course so you have to drive past the campground and go to the pro shop to check in. There is nowhere to turn around at the pro shop so you have to disconnect your tow vehicle there. After checking in, you are given no materials, just told to go back to the campground area and what your site number is. Luckily, the camp host met us while we were checking in and told us where he was located. The sites are not ideally set up for a motorhome, towing a vehicle. We have a 45 ft mh and the location of the connections (among other things) made it impossible for us to keep our tow vehicle connected. The fuses blew as soon as we got plugged in, but fortunately the camp host was an electrician in a former life and could easily remedy the problem (this park is lucky to have this guy). He said the park owners had plans to expand. Perhaps someday this will be a place that is OK, but right now, its way overpriced for what you get. - Tbillingsley
Jul 2016 - $29.00
Very nice little park which just opened and is part of the Golf Resort. The sites are all red gravel which gets a little muddy when it rains and a little narrow. The site sizes are ok but the graveled area is a little narrow. You park on gravel but step out onto grass or mud. Wi-Fi worked but was very slow. Overall, a nice start to what can become a very nice little park. A little pricy for what you get but OK for a night or two. - JimChan52
Nov 2016 - $32.00
We travel in a Class A coach. Me 78; she 75. We only want full hookups and a level site; clear for our Satellite dish. This rv park totally satisfies our needs. Hence our high rating. Only caveat coming from I-65 drive slow and do not turn in until you see their sign. Several other driveways are "out" from their Park. Wait for their sign to turn in.
We are 65 feet long. Site 17 long enough. Easy hookups. Adequate water pressure. The mother and son in the office are gracious and helpful. Glad we found it. Perfect for our needs. - michcamper38
Jun 2016 - $32.00
I can't give an accurate review of all of the facility because we only needed a place to stay overnight. I only used the water and electricity. Despite going to the office 3 times to check in, we never saw the manager so we self registered. The entrance road is lined with older FEMA trailers, some occupied and some not. The site was reasonably level. There were no picnic tables at any of the sites that I could see. We didn't have to unhook the car. There were some low tree limbs on the exit. For our purpose, this site was okay but if your looking for a place to stay for a few days, you may want to go elsewhere. - Scott J
Oct 2015 - $32.00
The manager was always available anytime she was needed and was constantly cleaning. The restrooms were always clean and smelling good. Very family oriented. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely be coming back. 100% satisfied. - elizabeth323
Oct 2016 - $1.00
I even hate to write a review because the place was so nice. We find it to be clean and quite. The park is small and the people are friendly. The lake is beautiful, they offer free wifi. Will definitely return. - Travelinlady
Oct 2016 - $1.00
Very clean campground. The staff here, even found additional days for us upon request so we'll be staying longer then a week. I wish there were more sites then the seasonal closed sites. I posted pics on a facebook group I'm in and two people didn't know this park existed. It's on their list now. We alo loved the welcome email sent from owner with accurate directions since the GPS can be wrong at times. Friendly staff! - Debster50
Sep 2016 - $38.00
Well maintained park. Caters mostly to permeant leased spots that are used on the weekend. Everyone keeps their RV at the campground full time. There are a few transient spots. Boat launch with large dock. Viewing area that is covered and rocks to climb on. Impressive club house. I'm sure this place is rocking on the weekends during the summer. This is a huge park with bunches of water frontage. - All American 6
Dec 2016 - $15.00
Easy entrance off 65, and into and out of the park on gravel roads.
Utilities were excellent, flat gravel site.
Our neighbor had a power post problem, maybe because the temperature was below freezing, and the staff was there immediately.
we will stay again on our trip home. It will even be warmer.
Very quiet and a fenced dog park with a great swing. - REV DON
Oct 2016 - $15.00
Passport America 50% rate for four nights. The site was a very basic gravel pull-thru, FHU and 50 amp site. We had good Verizon cell and MiFi reception and good satellite reception. This park is a good location for an overnight stay just off I-65. There are some tight turns on the narrow roads to the park so be sure to follow the directions on the campground website. - Dave51
Jul 2016 - $30.00
Strange set up. You pick your own site, put the fee $30.00 in an envelope, and put that in lockable mail box. Pull thru sites that were way too close. All utilites worked fine. Don't think I would stay here again. - ANDYO1
May 2016 - $19.00
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great cave tour and hiking trail! Larger sites were close together and hard to level. Camped here in a 40' Moterhome. - Bruce and Nena
Jun 2014 - $23.00
We made reservations on the road and were accommodated nicely for late arrival. They provided us the lock code for the gate and left reservation info at the office. RV sites are small, not very level, and difficult to pull into. The facilities, while old, were clean and fine for an overnight stay. What makes this location unique and worth the hassle getting to is the cave formation tour. Yes, it's expensive at $15 a head but worth the short walk from the RV sites. Staff seemed a but disinterested and not very encouraging or proud of the coolness of this location. We have stayed here twice by sheer accident, traveling from Chicago to Florida and only discovered the caves the second time. - dan4thover
Apr 2014 - $21.00
Nice state park. A little off the beaten path but worth the drive about 4 miles off the interstate. Very clean and quiet and beautiful surroundings. Didn't tour the cave but sounds interesting. Good water and electric hookups; no sewer but a dump station is available. Showers and restroom facilities available but the showers are just pool showers; concrete floors and minimal privacy. Weekend reservations (Friday & Saturday) require a 2 night minimum stay. There are several geocaches here if you enjoy that sport. Would stay again. - utchaps
