Nov 2016 - $28.00
Overall a decent place. Staff friendly. A little over priced. Lots of highway noise. Odd parking for check in. Or I might add no parking. This needs improvement. - la-redneck
Oct 2015 - $30.00
Actually my cousin set up this campground for us. This is a new campground that they are still working on. We have a 39 foot motorhome and all of the sites are back in and that is a problem since there is not a real good place to turn around to go the other way to back into a site going the other way. They have not put in any rest rooms or showers as of yet. The communication is terrible. If you want to talk to a person, you first need to leave a message and hope someone calls you back. Believe me they will call back real quick if you are talking about paying your bill. We would not recommend this campground at this point in time. I suppose when it get further done it may be ok. - hound4
Nov 2014 - $13.00
Rate based on monthly rate. (FHU, wifi, cable TV) Not a resort but a nice rv park - plans to grow and possibly become resort. Seems to have more permanent type campers. This is a nice clean campground near a beautiful lake (Lake Jordan). Would recommend staying here if you have family in the area. Wifi sporadic - drops periodically. Cable TV is in transition - need a box from BrightHouse. Need to be self contained - no comfort station. Nice boardwalk to the lake. Boat launch within a mile. Sites are narrow and gravel. Need some designated additional parking areas - people using vacant sites for parking. Happy to have the park in the area. Would stay here again due to location. - westie0506
Nov 2015 - $20.00
Have to call owner in advance to have utilities unlocked. Never saw owner, only talked on phone, paid by putting check in mailbox. Site #3 can be a little tricky getting out because of tree. - packrat1941
Jan 2015 - $12.00
This is a new campground (Aug 2014) w/packed gravel sites beside older patio slabs. Utilities are at rear against the 8' wide pad making a very tight turn into the site. In addition to the RV sites, there is a lot of tenting space. Owners live apx 1/4 mile away and work elsewhere during the day. CALL AHEAD for space & to get utilities unlocked. Owners are very helpful/attentive and have plans to add a bathhouse/laundry and more sites. Right across the road from the head of the Swayback Trail for hiking/biking. - AFChap
Mar 2017 - $11.00
There are a lot of long term trailers here. It is not what I would consider a vacation park. It is mostly quiet and fairly secluded. It sits next to I65 right at the off ramp to Prattville and Millbrook.....so quiet and secluded are not really watch words. The staff is extremely friendly. If you are just looking for a spot to park for a few nights this is as good a place as any. - jeffj
May 2012 - $22.00
This is possibly the WORST campground I've ever stayed in, although it is more a trailer park rather than a campground. Most of the sites are occupied by permanent campers. Many have broken or ill fitting sewer hoses, leaving sewer smells. There are many wild cats running around, which drove my dog crazy. I had to leave the campground grounds in order to find grass to walk the dog. I will never stay here again, but if I did, I'd bring extra shirts to hand to the permanent residents who spend most of the day walking around shirtless. - Florida Nick
Jul 2011 - $24.00
Nice friendly place to stay! Late check in available! Would definitely recommend! - BFamily
Mar 2017 - $15.00
Lovely setting. Big trees, lots of Spanish Moss. Sites are spacious enough, and most asphalt pads are nice and level. Very quiet. Most sites are large enough for our 37' 5th wheel, but some require you to park your vehicle at a slight angle, to fit in the space. Our space backed up on Lake Coose, which seems to be a popular fishing lake. If we are back in the area, we will definitely stay here again. - Ol JB
Dec 2016 - $21.00
We live in Montgomery so Ft. Toulouse is only a 30 minute drive for us and weekend camping there is something we do often. We love the size of the camp ground and the camp sites are large and always clean. I will admit that there are some sites that hold water after a good storm, we have never had a problem. We never get tired of exploring the two forts and walking trails. Everyone there is polite and friendly and we will continue to go there. - MontgomeryAL
Oct 2016 - $18.00
Beautiful well-kept Campground. Lots of big shade trees with Spanish moss. Sites are well spaced. Peaceful at night. Host on-duty could not have been nicer. We got there after dark and he came and unlocked the gate for us. Helped us back into a campsite. Some sites available along the river bluff. Very pretty.
Some neat history at the campground. Replica of American and French Fort and an Indian dwelling all within walking distance of the campsites. Nice walk in the fall but would have been very hot looking at the forts in the summertime with no shade. No information posted on the history and not a lot to see. Brochure with a little history available in tiny "museum" which consisted of two display cases, again without labels or information.
Camping areas were great. Kind of fun too walk around at the fort area but would not make it a destination.
We stayed here one night on our way through to Florida and would stay there again. - Darthall
Sep 2017 - $30.00
We stayed here during a hurricane evacuation. The manager and staff were excellent and very helpful. A lot of full time people here, but all were friendly. As stated before, this is not a destination park, but is excellent if you just want a place to park with good utilities. - chezhead
Oct 2014 - $30.00
Small campground with dirt sites. Good utilities. Most sites have no shade. Close to train tracks, but not many trains. Friendly staff. Lots of full time residents. OK for a short stay, but not a destination campground. Close to downtown Prattville. - chezhead
Jun 2017 - $30.00
Beautiful, clean and friendly owners. Appealing landscaping, many trees and flowers. Most sites are quite large and park is quiet. Units here are above average, no junk sitting around. Bath house and other buildings are older but appear to be well maintained. Only drawback I could see is that some sites are small (suitable for smaller campers) and you would need leveling. You go up a hill to get to many sites, road is not paved. Did see larger fifth wheels and motorhomes and some sites are pull throughs. Owner ran outside to tell us antenna was still up, she escorted is to our site last nite. We did not call ahead make a reservation and we got here about 6:30pm. - jkramer48
Jun 2017 - $32.00
Having left a state park in Selma with disgust, they had a space for me with no reservations. The campground hosts were really great and friendly. They went out of their was to accommodate and make you content. The only issue I had with the park was that I could not get any TV stations besides PBS through my antenna. I wanted to visit Prattville and the hosts gave us maps, and suggestions and they were all great tips. Great place! - HMathis58
Mar 2017 - $35.00
An older park undergoing renovation by new owners. Several long term residents including some leftover from previous owner. The majority of sites are full hookup but ours was water and electric only. There is no dump station. The owners are very helpful - even walking with us to our site after a heavy rainstorm that caused erosion in front of our site that would have made it impossible to pull out of our site. As promised, the next day brought gravel fill in front of our site and allowed us to leave without problems. The owners spend most of their days cleaning up the park and working on flower beds. The previous owner left numerous concrete statues throughout the park that add a bit of an eclectic appearance. It isn't much to look at from the road and there are some interior roads that have washed out but the owners are working on road repairs. Near the new sites is a , separate laundry/restroom that is clean and neat. The city of Prattville is historic and offers shopping, restaurants, and a little museum near the old factory that gives the city its name. We would definitely return. - grandma0942
Aug 2004 - $15.00
Campground is just off US 231 on the banks of the Tallaposa River, some sites have carport covers tall enough for any RV, but no longer than 30', narrow road down to the park, beware to swing wide on the left turn back up the road on leaving (we scratched our paint on some metal stantions hidden in the weeds), many permanent residents, this campground is nothing fancy, but we have had a pleasant stay both times we have stayed there for a week each time. - AFChap
Oct 2017 - $29.00
We stayed here on an overbite stop while passing through Montgomery. I liked this park's location as it avoided Montgomery traffic coming in from the east and heading out to the north. It turned out to be a good choice. Sites are pull-thru, flat, on gravel and with all hookups in excellent condition. Sites are, however, pretty close together. Bathrooms are EXCELLENT: there are 4 private suites with toilet, sink, shower, a chair and shelf. Everything spotless. There is a small pond on the site and a playground - didn't see other amenities. Cable and wifi were very good. - P&R Miami
Sep 2017 - $35.00
This an attractive, grassy campground with spacious level spots. The best amenities here, though, are for the dogs. And I mean that in the nicest way. There is an enormous fenced-in dog area and a walking area in grass completely around the park. I wish the fire ant mounds were less abundant though, since overall the park is very well-maintained. - Dapper
Sep 2017 - $39.00
Friendly staff. Good roads. Wide spaces. A little road noise. WiFi is adequate, not super fast, but decent. - Kool Bell
Jul 2017 - $24.00
This was our third stay in a military base. As is typical, it was tucked in the farthest possible corner of the base. However, if you trust the signs, you will find it. GPS is not helpful. Sites were level, power and water were satisfactory. The only negative aspect was the lack of mowing of the dog walking area. I was wet almost to my knees from morning dew and walking the dog. We stayed her due to mechanical difficulties, and would stay here again. - Sheryl E
Jan 2017 - $20.00
No one in camp office on weekends. Park is on the other side of where you have to enter base on the weekend. Nice size lots with easy leveling. Concrete. Ever sction has no trees. - hug448844
Feb 2016 - $20.00
Quiet hours at this park are from 10pm-7am. It is now after 11pm and one of my nearby neighbors (a homesteader) has been blasting his stereo inside his motorhome for the past 3 hours. I don't know how the people in the RVs next to him stand it. We're here overnight and our stay cannot end soon enough for me. I hope to get at least a decent night's sleep. No one is around to enforce quiet hours and it's apparent the permanent residents here know that and take advantage of it.
We made reservations yesterday and were assigned a site, #52. When we pulled up to the site, someone was already parked there. They were overnighting too and hoping we would be a no-show. They left and found a different site. As we were hooking up our utilities, we noticed the resident in site #51 next to us had strapped his satellite receiver to the top of the grill on our site. We asked him to remove it and he asked if we were using the grill right then. We insisted he remove it and he came out 15 mins later and grudgingly did it.
The park is full of homesteading residents with all their stuff spread out around their rigs and spilling over to the empty sites (like the satellite receiver I mentioned earlier). There's a definite trailer park feel to this place. Many sites are so close together, you can hear your neighbor yawning (as we did).
The cement pads are nice - long and level. Hookups are in the middle. Water pressure is in the red zone so use pressure regulator. WiFi is non-existent and there's no cable. There's trains passing nearby. And neighbors who play loud music late into the night. I can't wait to leave and never return to this trailer park. - Flippitti
Sep 2016 - $17.00
This is a no frills park for sure. It is OK for a 1 night stop, not much more. All of the water spigots are below grade and flooded with water and ??. I was not going to hook up and contaminate my water system!! Easy off the highway, about a 1/2 mile. - hoefler
