Another camper told us about Foscue and we are glad they did! We enjoyed our stay in this very nice park. Clean, well kept, roomy sites with concrete patios, lantern poles, fire rings and aluminum picnic table. When they design campgrounds they need to take a look at Foscue Park, we didn't see anything undesirable. The sites are well set up, well maintained, hiking/biking trails, views of the lake/river, bathhouse/laundry facilities, playgrounds for the kiddos, covered pavilions for rent for large parties, easy to navigate roads and good clearance for big rigs, free firewood (bring an axe to chop it). Camp hosts always on duty and willing to help any way they can. If we are in the area again (and we will purpose to be) we won't hesitate to stay at Foscue Creek again. The one drawback we experienced was an invasion of sugar ants, we know that isn't unusual in park settings and next time we will be more prepared for the "wildlife". We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Motorhome.

We were hurrying to get here and set up before a big storm was to hit. The lady checking us in, pointed out that there was a storm shelter if needed. Thankfully, the storm passed us by and there was no need to shelter. The campground is a very nice COE park. The sites are a bit close, backing up to the lake. The showers and bathrooms were clean and nice. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Tent Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

It looked like the camp hosts had firewood for sale. There are a couple of playgrounds. Most sites were on the water with fishing available.

Very well-maintained. Spaces are reasonably separated, but only a few trees, so very visible to neighbors. Strong fish smell. Volunteer staff very friendly -- showed us to the site and helped us back in. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Full hook COE! Our site was terraced and on the water. Picnic table and camper on one level and fire pit on the lower level. Beautiful. Lots of places to ride bikes around the campground. Very friendly and competent staff. The campsite was spotless and raked when we moved in. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Well maintained large sites with gravel patios, picnic tables, grill, bear food hooks, fish cleaning tables fire rings with concrete pads accessed by asphalt interior roads. Well shaded. Love this park. Does have ants and lots of them, so take care to be very aggressive stopping the ants from getting to your rig. They must not spray for them. Stayed a week--would stay here again. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Like most COEs, the campsites are paved and waterfront. Clean as can be. Full hook-ups, which is rare at COEs. Beautiful trees, too. Metal picnic tables. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Park is a bit out of the way but worth the drive. Large sites with concrete pads but rock patios. Look to be mostly waterfront site but didn't really see any bad sites. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Fantastic Campground operated by the COE. Hosts were friendly and helpful. The campground was well maintiained and sites were very clean.

There are walking trails, boating, fishing, and birding opportunities.

Campsites are available with views that overlook Tombigbee River and reservations are highly recommended. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here on the way to South Carolina. It is a really nice park with lots of shaded sites. If you have a boat great access to river.

There are a few right along the river and you can watch barge traffic right in front of your site. We had site 49 right on the river.

Campground host was very helpful, he even bought firewood for us right to our site! We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Travel Trailer.

This was our seventh stay in this campground! We've stayed in every site on the back loop on the river plus three other interior sites. All have been great! This is a typical COE campground -- very well done! The advantage of this park is that it is full hookups! We enjoy the sites back on the river where we can sit and watch the many barges go by. The park is always clean and well maintained. This is a very popular campground so reservations are suggested. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We enjoy the COE parks we've visited, this one no exception. Previously stated, large, level sites, full hookups, very friendly staff and park was maintained very well. There was firewood at our site and a community supply available. A little interesting finding our way to the park, but once there wished we could have stayed longer. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Motorhome.

We had a waterfront site, as most are. The park was up to typical COE standards, large, very clean; our site had a level concrete pad, grill, picnic table, and fire ring, 50amp service. Hosts on site, gated at night.

The only complaint is that they do not have firewood for sale on site. Not sure that any COE campgrounds do. On the other hand they did allow scavenging from the local brush pile so we were able to build a small fire.

COE campgrounds are the first we look for when pass through a new area, we have not been disappointed yet. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent park. Large level gravel sites with wide roads. Lots of trees. Located on the river. FHU with picnic table and fire ring. Room to ride your bike and walk the dog. No cable or WiFi and very few channels with just an antenna. Not much in Demopolis for shopping and dining but Meridian is about 45 minutes away. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate reflects Golden Age discount. Very nice park with camping areas on both Foscue Creek and the TomBigBee River. The sites on the river itself can be quite windy and there is no water access. Creek sites have places to tie up a boat. All volunteer park, we saw almost no COE staff, however, hosts are very nice, helpful and friendly. Park is kept very clean and campsites are cleaned and checked after each guest leaves. Bathrooms are clean, we did not use showers. There is only one washer and dryer at the bathhouse, but they are reasonable at $1.50 and $1.00. Camp sites are level on the pad, patio's are gravel with table, fire ring and lantern pole. Almost all sites are located on the water. Electric power was steady, water pressure easy at 40-45PSI. Most of the sites have sewer. Great walking and bike riding and plenty of area to fish. Great bird watching. There is a very nice walking trail on the day use side of the park, where the park volunteers have carved a beautiful bench out of a fallen tree. Park does not offer WIFI, however our Verizon phone and MiFi card worked fine. There are several longer term campers there, they've found ways around the 14 day rule, but its not excessive. Several restaurants and fast food within a few miles, there is also a Walmart and a local grocery store, Vowell's. Demopolis has several historical sites to visit and is friendly to visitors. We would stay here again. We camped at Foscue Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Bluff House and Gaineswood House are antebellum homes to visit. Bluff House has a wonderful collection of antique muslin clothes and the docent is very knowledgeable about the house and area. The house is part museum and has many impressive displays.
