1 Park near Double Springs, Alabama
Oct 2015 - $20.00
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Camp spots were all full hookups and had some space between them. Nice quiet. Lots of shade. Had nice beach and pavilion, if needed. Lots of picnic tables. Concrete pads. About 10 miles to grocery. Will stay again. - ParisMarie7

The Corinth Recreation area is part of the Bankhead National Forest. It is about 30 miles from Cullman, Alabama and interstate 65. The city of Double Springs is about 5 miles and has stores for groceries. It is about 25 miles from Jasper, Alabama. The pads are asphalt and level. Each site has a fire ring, grill, and picnic table. Electricity (30 & 50), Water, and sewer hook ups are great. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. There is a boat ramp and fishing on Lewis Smith Lake. The beach area is very nice, but I do recommend water / swimming shoes since the bottom is lined with gravel. We saw a number of deer in the park and one grey fox. This is a very peaceful and relaxing place to visit. Nearby you can visit an old 1894 church, the oldest jail in Alabama (1868) and a 1904 covered bridge. We camped in a 24 ft. travel trailer and was well pleased with the room. Motor Homes have no trouble here. - Alabama Jim

Campground is OK. Camp host were extremely friendly. It's on a nice lake but access is not great. Grass/weeds were overgrown. Sites are a little close for my liking. - Crazyrvfamly
