ANTS !!! I don't mean a few either, I mean so many the ground turns black in places. They move fast too, right up your power and water lines and into the RV. The park is beautiful and we'll laid out, but those ants about ruined our day. If you go there be ready to defend yourself, cause they'll attack as soon as you park! We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is one of the most beautiful campgrounds that I have stayed in with breathtaking sunsets. There are no "bad" sites and most have a lake view. There are some that are closer than others, but sites are staggered somewhat to add privacy. Generally, there are 2 loops that may be reserved by site and two loops that are first come/first serve. This time of year, there was no issue getting a site although I would definitely want a reservation if staying over a weekend just to be safe. Bath house was dated but clean. Each bath house has a laundry but the equipment was old and rusted so I chose to wait.

There is a large parking lot/boat ramp right before the campground entrance where I stopped to unhitch the car as there is not room at the check-in gate.

I stayed here a week and wished I had longer. I will definitely return. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Barb's Country Kitchen is a delicious all-you-can eat lunch buffet with loads of fresh vegetables, assortment of meats (best grilled pork chops ever), salad bar, dessert and drink. There is a dollar store at the corner of Hwys 431 & 95 which is well stocked and if you head toward Eufala, there is a Walmart about 3 miles down the road.

Excellent COE campground on the shores of Lake Eufaula. At least half of the sites are first come first serve, so unless arriving on a Friday or Saturday no reservations ought to be needed. We arrived at 7:30 am Friday morning and got a fantastic waterfront site on the first loop. Getting satellite reception should not be a problem. They have a brand new dog park which is great for exercising your hound or providing him social hour for fraternization with the other hounds. A little over 100 sites, each very spacious and unique in layout, some with long driveways. Each site has concrete pad, gravel tent pad, grill, fire ring, picnic table, campstove table, water and 50A. No sewer. Excellent views. Great place to camp, no complaints whatsoever. Verizon service excellent. At least 3 dump stations on site. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Most all sites back up to the water! As usual with my experience at COE parks, the showers in the bathhouse need some serious upgrading. Concrete pads and crushed gravel impact areas. We always enjoy coming here! We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Probably the best COE campground we have ever stayed in. Large sites on water's edge. We backed right up to the lake, had a very large, flat, shaded site with picnic table, fire ring and wood butcher block work table. Parking area for trailer and truck was paved. Fantastic sunrise and sunset view of the lake on three sides of our site. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Fantastic park with wonderful views of the lake from nearly all sites. This is a very popular park during the summer and on weekends but it was not crowded at all on the early October weekday we were there. Would have made a great spot to just hang-out for a few days had we not been on a schedule that prevented staying. Nearby return visitors told us that reservations were required for weekends and most summer days. A very popular park for obvious reasons.

We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend in the River Chase section. This review will speak to that section specifically. These are first come sites, most on the river or on the hill above, with plenty of distance between them so privacy not a real issue. This whole section slopes to the water from entrance. All sites have old and some what level concrete pads, most with long asphalt drives, some steep, and large level gravel tent pads. There seems to be plenty of additional parking available, although it might require walking up a hill. Bathhouses are old but kept clean daily by contractors. There are 2 showers in each bath area, with the handicapped stall being very tight. Shower heads very low, designed for short people so hard to wash hair if above 5'3 or so but you can use bathhouses in other sections. Nice playground, not too many obtrusive street lights. Weekends always very busy. Boats everywhere, fishing from shore along bulkhead available but no designated access if not on a waterfront site. You need to walk through or beside other sites, although that does not seem to be a problem if you are a courteous camper. No real beach along the bulkhead, but water access is available and many people were swimming. Sites on the bottom curve are at water level, most with both boat and swimming access There is one additional first come section along the creek and 2 reservable. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Walmart and Dollar General within a few miles. Plenty of fast food or stores for camping & fishing supplies. Loaner life preservers available. Great boat ramp and parking. Come early in week for first come, consider reservations if holiday.

Many sites are on the banks of Lake Eufuala and are just beautiful. Sites are level, well maintained and include a fire ring, large table and grill. The bath house is showing a little age but was clean and neat. The only drawback is the lack of sewage on the sites. Fishing and boating are the main attractions but relaxing and enjoying the environment come in a strong second. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Travel Trailer.

Typical COE park except the sites are a little closer spaced than usual for a Corp Park; still better than almost any private CG. About half of the CG is walk-up (non-reservable). Even if you have a reservation, and want a water site with a view, before you set up, check the availability of sites 112 - 127. These are not reservable sites but have some of the best views of the water. My favorite site in the park is #36. Shopping, fuel, restaurants are all close by. Verizon coverage 3/5 bars, local TV reception good, good water and power, but no sewer connections. Trees are sparse enough that you should get reception with a portable dish. Fenced dog run so you can let them run free in a certain area. Hiking trails are a little short. This is a "bicycle friendly" park with just a few hills. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

The park is broke down into 4 sections. The second(Oakwood) and third(Creek View) are reservable. The first and fourth are not. The third and fourth sections are closed for the winter. A typical COE park. Water views whatever spot you get. The only negative is no full hook ups.

A typical COE campground, which means just about perfect if they only had sewer. Large level cement sites with good spacing. Site backs up on the river with birds and waterfowl entertainment. Verizon service is spotty and over the air TV doesn't get all network stations. Still wonderful. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean campground, clean restrooms and shower. The weeds along the road were not cut and the weeds in the the tent area were not cleaned out. The campground opened last week for the season and with federal cutbacks this may have to be acceptable, however a little effort can go a long way. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Tent Trailer.
