Great campground, we were concerned on driving in but the campground was great. Our pull through area had been blown off of leaves (late Nov.). Concrete pad plus area where picnic table and fire pit was small gravel. Even had washer & dryers at restroom. Stayed only one night but would love to go back. Our first time staying at a COE. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Great Park, best sites are 6,7,9 and 11 as these are facing the Warrior River and can see barges going by. Most attendees want to be a along the other side which is waterfront but on a creek and at this time of the year not much fishing going on as very cold! We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Closest town for shopping is Eutaw, they have a Piggy Wiggly there, not the cleanest we did venture out to Walmart about 25 miles away. We stayed mostly indoors as it was cold and a few days rainy and cold!

Very nice campground. We were on site 40 witch is a nice paved and long pull through. Water and 50 amp electric. Nice large gravel patio. With Dish satellite we were only able to pick up one of the three satellites (had to set Dish on top back end of RV). I checked other areas around the campsite with a sat finder app and really couldn't find a better spot. Also was able to get several over the air TV channels. Verizon cell service was 2 bars also. Bathrooms and showers were very well maintained and clean and were heated in winter cooled in summer. Maintenance of campsites was also very well kept and clean. Hosts were very nice and also informative of the area. Several water front sites have nice wood decks also. Beautiful area with a short hiking trail and boat launch. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

We were traveling south on I-59 when we stumbled on this gem of a campground. We called to check on availability and were told to come on down...the host on duty was friendly and helpful...our site was on a concrete pad right on the river. There were 20/30/50 amp electric hook ups with no power issues and city water...the facilities were clean and it shows the pride they take in the campground. There is no television reception, but we were able to stream Netflix using a Verizon hotspot. I highly recommend this park if in the area. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Motorhome.

As usual, C.O.E. parks are great except for not having sewer connections. Our site was huge, well spaced from others and the park was very quiet. Trees prevented satellite on our site but others would work. If this is important ask to tour the CG and pick from available sites. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Motorhome.

We are on a cross-country trip and are doing several one-night layovers that are convenient to I-20. Jennings Ferry CG (a Corps of Engineers operation) is not exactly convenient but we get the 50% discount for being seniors. This place is so nice it made it well worth getting off the beaten path. Park is well laid out for RV's, big rigs are no problem. We are 60' long (truck/trailer combined) and 13'6" tall. There was a number of pull-thrus and back-ins available that would have accommodated us on this March, Monday afternoon. Volunteer park host couldn't have been better. Power was solid, all sites have 20, 30 and 50 amp. Verizon signal was two bars on Apple devices, three bars on jetpack. Water ran very clear, didn't tax my filters. There is a good mix of shade and full sun sites. Our site (#40, pull-thru) was open and had a good look at the DIRECTV satellites. Our site and all the ones we saw appear to be very level (asphalt driveway with concrete pad) and easy to level. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice large sites. Very long with plenty of room for our motorhome and vehicle. The campground is a little ways off of I59 though. But a good location for more than one night stay. Our 45 foot MH had no problem navigating entry and exit. 50A power and water. No sewer at the sites but there is a dump station. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Motorhome.

We camped here in a 45' Motorhome with toad and we did not have to disconnect. With a big rig plan on dumping on the way out if you need to dump. Reserve ahead during busier seasons as not all sites will accommodate a big rig this way. Restrooms were very clean. We did not use water hookup. This is a lovely, wooded campground in the vein of a State Park. Quiet. Trees were trimmed so we had no problems with hanging branches. What a bargain! Lovely campground. We were planning to overnight at a Walmart but temps were predicted to drop to freezing. Decided to find a place with electricity. We ended up coming in in the dark.. campground host was wonderful, she met us at the gate and led us to our site with her golf cart -- long, level pullthru. Since we only overnighted, didn't have the opportunity to check out any facilities, but walked around with the dogs enough to note all the spacious, level sites: all sites have a concrete pad, fire ring, picnic table, lantern hook, and a butcherblock work table... Not vwry crowded this time of year, but can imagine it's very busy in warmer months: many sites are on the water. Note that our $11 fee includes a National Park access pass discoun. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Motorhome.

We had a back in site right on the river. The park is beautiful, well maintained and quiet. Staff extremely helpful. There was a 30 amp outlet, but only 50 amp available. We used an adapter. Dump station is very clean and well maintained. There were herons and great egrets, but the major attraction is the grey squirrels. We will go here again when in the area. We had a very long backin site and it was very level. Lots of shade but I was able to set up the satellite dish and get a good signal. We were right across from the restroom which is air conditioned which is very nice. We had stayed here 8 years ago and noticed that the roads, streets and such to get to the park are really in bad condition but they are working on them. If they had sewer hookup this park could be a 10. The only really weird thing about this park is their gate locking procedure. The host locks the gate at 10 PM and unlocks it at 6 AM. It is a keyed lock and not a combination like some places use and give the campers the combination. If you were to have an emergency you have to go to the host and have them unlock the gate and also that means you better be back before 10. seemed strange to us. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Well maintained COE park. Very good layout with good spacing between campers. All the waterfront sites are low to the water, which makes for an easy kayak/canoe launch, or boat parking. One bathhouse for approx 50 sites. There is a large convenience store 1/2 mile outside the gate which has basic supplies, live bait and even a small restaurant; a real grocery store is approx 5 miles away in town. Most sites are very large and shady. There is a 1/2mile nature trail. TV reception is good - approx 9 channels, Verizon coverage is 3/5 bars. We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you have a kayak or canoe, paddle South to the left hand bend (large house on the left). After the left hand bend, look to the right - there are several canoe trails through the glades and pads that run to the main river. Lots of wildlife in the maze of canoe trails.

We stayed three nights at Jennings Ferry Campground. The COE has a wonderful Park and maintains the park. The Hosts are friendly and answered questions regarding the area. One Host helped gather firewood for a cookout. The sire was concrete and level with a asphalt approach. The morning we departed the Park Superintendent stopped and introduced himself. We will stay here in the future! We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground COE in a Fifth Wheel.
