Previously read about new owner and quiet time. Maybe I am too old, but it is a family campground. The new office personnel are much more pleasant and knowledgeable. Pool was cleaner and smoking in limited areas. I found nothing that I would change. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Chevk out wolf bay lodge for lunch or dinner

I actually waited too late to make my reservation, so I had to reserve a spot at another campground down the road. On our way in, I told my wife that we weren't driving past Johnny's without stopping to see if they had a cancellation and they did. Spent a full week there, the kids love the pool area and it close enough to the beach. Booked my site for next year. GREAT Place and very family friendly. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Book early, Johnny's sells out quickly.

Me and my wife have stayed at this park for many years but since the new owner has taken over it has become a retirement community. We go there on holiday weekends to have fun and enjoy time with friends and family. Now all that's there are older people that want piece and quiet ALL the time. So no more having fun cause you have go to to bed at 9 PM. When going camping it's all about fun and no worries. If you have kids they will have fun in the lazy river and slides but make sure they are quiet and in bed by 9 PM or you will get a call for park manager because some retired couple got hurt cause they interrupted their bingo game or their afternoon nap. I wish the old owner was still there "The Original Jonny" we always had fun back then. No disrespect to older people but the park's name says "Johnnys RV Resort " not "Johnnys Retirement Community ". We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Park is nice but sites are too close together and they cater to older people. So if you stay up pass 9pm you will have complaints from everyone and there rules are about 2 pages long.

The rate is based on the monthly rate divided by the 18 days we stayed. Park office personnel were very courteous and escorted us to our site. All pads are concrete and narrow (approx. 10 ft wide). Sites are narrow, but there is about 6 feet of space on each side of the open slide outs. Roads are asphalt and are approximately 12 feet wide. Because the roads are narrow, maneuvering big rigs is difficult. Laundry is satisfactory. Washers and dryers are $2 each. Nice water park, which is great for kids. The park appears to be occupied mostly by a few permanent residents and it fills up each weekend with locals or semi locals who bring their kids to use the water park. Many guests just park their RVs there and come in on Thursdays and leave on Mondays. We left after 18 days due to the following reasons: 1) Very loud music from park guests that went on until 2:30 AM; 2) guests who drive their 4 wheelers up and down the narrow streets with music blaring at a speed of about 20 mph while consuming alcohol - we were nearly run over on 3 occasions while walking our dogs; 3) park rules limit 1-2 vehicles per site yet we saw sites that had 4 - 5 vehicles per site - our neighbor left his truck parked fully in the street over night; 4) guests routinely cut through sites on the way to and from the water park. If there is not enough room due to parked cars, they just cross beneath your awning; 5) guests were not inclined to obey park rules; 6) we saw no presence of park officials after hours. Because of the narrow streets and parked cars, we were not able to pull out of our pull-through site. There was a vacant site behind us, so the only way out was to back up on to the vacant pad to exit our site. We will look elsewhere for a place to stay in the future. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Liberty Church in Foley is a great place to worship. Be sure to visit Five Guys Hamburgers in Foley. Longhorn Steakhouse in Gulf Shores is good, and Olive Garden in Spanish Fort is also good.

.Nice park - very family orientated - water park draws the kids. Quick overnight stop on the way to Florida. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

This is a summer park for the kids (water-park) and a winter park for snowbirds. All adult activities (card games, coffee room, in-park dining, socializing in general is very "cliquish" and controlled by the snowbirds.

Park is very clean with very narrow paved roads. All RV parking sites are finished concrete. All sites are very close together which can make it very difficult to maneuver anything 35' or longer. They have widened some turn areas so not to run over curbs and grass although. Two vehicles can not pass each other on the same street without one of them parking on the side.

Cable is very good however, their Wi-Fi is awful to nonexistent. Monthly group meetings have discussed the awful Wi-Fi and Managing Staff promises to have it fixed or they're currently looking into the problem. 3 months there and it didn't get any better.

Be aware, that management sometimes will move you to another site to accommodate another camper for various reasons without notice when you check in. Be very careful of children playing in the streets or riding bikes/skateboards/motorized carts after dark with no lights. Coming back here is not in our plans for now. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. The restrooms and showers are well maintained. Wifi is typical for RV parks, slow and sporadic. Sites are easily accessible. Lots of organized activities. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Nice clean friendly park. Many activities. We were there in March for a month along with many other snowbirds. The spaces are a little tight but long enough for a 45 ft motorhome once you get in.

We paid the monthly rate of $ 450 which includes electricity, cable and internet

My only complaint is that it can be difficult to connect to the internet and it is generally slow. If the internet were better I would rate it higher. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are many things to do in the area and lots of good restaurants. Don't miss the trains at Foley

Great kid friendly RV park located right off the road and an easy drive (25min) to public beach access. Clean, very safe feeling campground. Nice ceramic bathhouse with 2 showers, 4 toilets. Laundry and clubhouse. There was an ice cream social while we were there. Lots of kids on bikes/playing. Huge waterslide and pool!!! Office staff helpful. And you can store your Camper here for ?$40 month. (But they did go to move ours-tried to charge the wrong battery and ended up disconnecting some battery cables) Wifi was not at all good:( But we will definitely camp here again!! We stayed with our family of 7. (teenagers to toddlers) We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Very kid friendly beautiful scenery and pet friendly. Nice cement parking slabs. The only complaint was the Internet was a little slow. This park has many residents that live here full time. Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort has the friendliest residents and staff. The water park is amazing. Our 3 year old granddaughter loved it. We also had a problem with our electric plug and within 10 minutes my husband had 3 of the regulars offer to help him fix it. I cannot say enough about this beautiful wonderful park! We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Great RV park. Lots of grass and shade trees. Sites being improved with new concrete parking pads gradually. Many already done. Beautiful, huge pool with 3 water slides and a lazy river float. Nice lake with free fishing. Extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful staff. Park recently changed ownership and hopefully, will continue current improvements and good business practices. We would definitely stay here again even though there is an abundance of nice parks in this area. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Loved the park. We had a shade tree. Ample camp space. Nice Lazy River and pool. Staff friendly and helpful. Site states 171 spaces, don't know where they would be, unless on a parking lot. There were campers in the back on what looked like a parking lot with no hookups, but LOVED our space. Couldn't get reservations later in the summer. So need to make reservations for this place in the heat of the summer. Will go again for sure. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We came to this park because of the reviews we had read. The park when you come in looks nice, with wide sites. Check in was fast and very friendly. We were escorted to our site which was great. Our concern was that the road is very narrow. A few times we had to drive over the curb a bit. Our site was paved which was nice. Again the road is pretty narrow so we drove over the grass to get our rig in. There is a bit of a dip in the front and the back of the pad. WiFi is free but very slow to none. The sites are fairly narrow when compared to the sites in the front. Swimming pool was empty, but as we were told it isn't heated it did not matter. You do hear traffic noise. Our biggest concern were the narrow roads. With a 40ft RV you do need a bit of room. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Family friendly park, not far from Gulf Shores and beach access. Pool and lazy river area was perfect for our family, especially with smaller children. Sites are a little close; however, we didn't feel cramped in anyway. We enjoyed the campground enough that we booked again for next summer. Plan ahead with reservations. This park tends to book quickly. Our rate reflects the weekly price. We camped at Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
