My wife and really enjoyed our 2-night stay at River Country Campground. It is one of the prettiest and cleanest RV campground we've ever visited. From check-in to check-out our stay was very pleasant. A host was dispatched to choose a site and ensure it met our needs and desires. This is a wonderful park to walk around the water's edge and enjoy the daylight and after dark scenery. The park is gated and you will always feel safe and secure. We even observed a couple of Gadsden Police cruisers checking the security of the park. We visited the International Motor Sports Hall of Fame Museum at the Talladega Super Speedway and the Noccalula Falls Park. We will return to explore more of the area. Thanks for providing a wonderful campground! We will definitely return again to explore more this beautiful area of Alabama has to offer. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoy the area, as there are a lot of interesting things to see and do. Next time we're in that area we will stay several days and plan to visit the US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville. There are a lot of nice restaurants in the area including "It's Yogurt Time" yogurt shop just .7 mile from the camground. You fix your own bowl of yogurt with the toppings you desire. I highly recommend.

This time of year the CG has many sites to choose from. We were given a selection of sites and then directed there by a knowledgeable employee. I received a rose. It is a very quiet CG with a pretty view of the Coosa River which, I believe, is visible from most of the camp sites. There is a marina and boat launch. Two pools and a childrens splash pool, which are not yet open. We enjoyed walking the entire length of the CG along the riverfront. They have pretty flowers planted here and there and have installed swings along the walking paths. The employees appear to patrol frequently throughout the day on golf carts. There is a bit of road noise from Hwy 759 although it did not bother us. Good cable and wi-fi. We stayed three nights. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

We stopped for one night on our trip back home. This is a super nice campground on a peninsula that extends into the river. We were off season so there were lots of open slots. Unfortunately, it poured rain so we couldn't walk the trail along the river or even hardly leave our motorhome, but with the landscape and trees, we bet it is beautiful when foliage comes out. With the thunderstorm, we asked about a storm shelter and they do have one. It was an easy in and out and nice enough to stay a few days. Staff folks were very friendly and helpful. We would stop again. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Stayed overnight here. The park is located right on the Coosa River. It has a marina on site. The pool and other facilites are excellent and even includes a small chapel building. Unfortunately, they seem to focus on their facilities at the detriment of their sites and interior roads both of which greatly need to have gravel laid on them. The site we were on had little gravel remaining on it so it was mostly grass. Cable worked well. I did not try the wifi. The pool, etc. deserves a 10 rating, but the RV sites are no better than a 5 given their poor condition. The park does not give any discounts for RV club memberships. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We have 3 different sources of GPS directions. All were confused by this park's location. After being taken in a loop past the park on a road with no access to the park, I stopped in a parking lot and called the park for directions and was able to easily get to the park. The park is located near several major highways so there is some road noise, but it did not bother us. It is convenient to services and restaurants.

This is an interesting CG to rate. We were there for a one night stop over on our way North. There are some really great sites that boarder the river. These are mostly back ins and would be terrific if we were going to spend a few days in the area. The CG is mostly a peninsula formed by the river so it has some natural ambience. There is a very nice river walk all the way around as well as some interior walking trails. The transient sites are parking lotish and tend to be quite close together. Fortunately, it appears that they only use every other site where we were located. If a camper were next to us, we could not have opened our awning.
The pool and facilities were outstanding and could be a model for other CGs. There is no dog park.
Access to and from the highway was excellent and straightforward. The staff was friendly and helpful.
All in all, this is is a good camp ground that has the potential to be great. We would stay here again. We camped at River Country Campground in a Travel Trailer.

The park is beautiful and very clean. We were just passing thru but would love to come back and spend a few days there. Only negative was not convenient to Interstate but worth the extra miles. Enjoyed the walk around the water and great place to walk our two dogs. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is located right on the river in Gadsden. Even if you do not get a river side site, you will enjoy beautiful river views. We were in a pull-through site and enjoyed a nice view of the river from inside our RV. There is a nice walking path along the river with swings along the path to sit and relax. The sites are spacious and the utilities work well. (Good water pressure and wifi.) The roads and sites are all gravel and not particularly smooth.

The pools in the park are exceptional. There are three pools (including an infinity pool and a zero-entry child's pool) and a splash pad, all enclosed in a fenced area and located right by the river. Best pools anywhere! We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Easy access from I 759. Park is clean, scenic, has nice swings facing the river, and nice walking paths. Sites are level and long enough for our 40 ft. 5th wheel and truck. We have visited here many times and will continue to do so. The roads and some sites could use more gravel. We camped at River Country Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Guided to site 10 PT that was large enough for 62' rig & toad. Easy access off I-59 with Big Rig and within park. Roads & sites gravel and all utilities worked as should. Cable TV did not work but Wifi was excellent. Park had received much rain over past week but no standing water. Site was waterfront and many sites are back-in on waterfront. Beautiful and clean park. Security gates for entry & exit. Experienced one tree limb that needed cut but did not see others. Would stay here again. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for one night but would stay again. The individual that parked us was excellent and you could tell had done this before. Upon arrival I was given a wooden "rose" for my wife, what a nice surprise. Security was very good. We camped at River Country Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful location in Gadsden on the Coosa River and Lake Gadsden. Full hookups worked well and WiFi was good. The restrooms are very nice and thoroughly cleaned daily. We had a site on the water and yes, the sites are narrow. Also, the driveways are in bad shape and the site was a mix of dirt, mud and gravel. Not necessarily the fault of the park but we were besieged by tiny flies. Due to the price (I would be less critical at $30-32 per night) I must mention the negatives but otherwise we had a pleasant experience here. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

The camp could use some upgrading (new water connections for one thing. The ones in place are at ground level and we decided to use the water in our tank instead.) but it is on a beautiful site, right on the river. Friendly owners. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The campground has a nice "park" feel and there is a big public park right next to it. Nice place to take a good walk. They are going to decorate the trees with lights for the holidays. With the very pretty large lights along the river it should be beautiful.

Stayed here a few years ago and nothing has changed. Water is hard to get to, sites unlevel, and narrow. Nice location but really needs some upgrading and crushed stone. Gave it a 7 then; dropping it down one as nothing has improved. We camped at River Country Campground in a Motorhome.
