Very Lovely Park. ALL PULL THROUGH spots. (not sure if) all were 50 AMP service. Note to new travelers: This campground is on a NON-Paved Road, it is rocky, and sandy, but not difficult to go in or out of.
We pulled in and out of this campground during nasty rain, and it was NOT difficult to maneuver, despite the rain. Some previous reviews complained about poor roads. Comparatively speaking, these roads are NOT any worse (and much better then ones found in parts of North and South Dakota) than average non-paved roads.
The park, although not paved, was lovely. Set up was extremely nice, with a convenient bath-house/laundry-room and walking paths (if not raining!) There was a little lake down a path but I didn't go there.
Only problem was that no one was in the office the entire time. There was a sign on the door to just pick a site and they'd find us, but they never showed up (we left $ in the box anyway). - cherylbrv
Sep 2016 - $30.00
This park is so run down, I wouldn't advise anyone to go there. The interior roads and sites are mostly Alabama red clay with gravel and grass mixed in. The office was closed on the Sunday afternoon we pulled in. We needed a spot for overnight so we chose the first one that looked fairly level. There are no picnic tables and the fire ring was full of grass and weeds. There were about 5 full time residents and we did see one on his way to the bath house. When we left the next day, we had to put our payment in the drop box because the office was still closed. We never did meet the owner. The road we needed to use to leave our site had such a large rut from water erosion extending across most of the road that we chose to drive over the grass. We would NEVER stay here again. - dickens
Mar 2016 - $18.00
Plain Jane RV park, but fine for overnight stay. 1 mile from Interstate 65. Would stay here again if passing through, because it is easy to find from the interstate, also it accepts Passport America. All pull-throughs so not necessary to unhook toad. Interior roads very rough and lots of potholes. Old RV park that needs some loving care. No wifi or cable TV but we have satellite so that was no problem for us. Not a place for a vacation but OK for overnight parking. Has a fishing pond. - mlou
Nov 2017 - $25.00
Great overnight stopover spot for us as we moved from NC toward Louisiana. Quiet, full hookups (although we only used the electricity this time). Park is dropping Good Sam membership - too expensive for a relatively small and economically priced park. - Grumpier99
Oct 2017 - $25.00
I have stayed at this park many nights heading to Gulf Shores. It's a great stopover and I intend to stay longer sometime to explore around the area. Check in is easy and everyone is friendly. You can have an escort to your site or not. (I don't need one as I have know the park.) You can reserve by site if you call ahead. I have stayed in #41 before and it is a level pull-thru as was #25 which I stayed in this time. Bathhouse is a bit dated but spotless. - IntrepidCampers
Oct 2017 - $22.00
My rate is based on a weekly rate. Very nice no-frills park. Staff is friendly; park is very clean. They pick up the trash numerous times during the day. I was escorted to my site and he assisted me in hooking everything up. Site was concrete and level; roads are asphalt; easy to navigate. My site was close to a main road and you could hear the trucks going by during the day. I had zero problems with ants as others have said. - RVingMe

May 2017 - $10.00
The web site is contradictory. Upon arrival with a 10lb dog, they said no pets allowed. There is no store, They sell no ice. They lock the restrooms at night. No hot water. No grills to cook on. No nearby garbage receptacles. There was broken glass all on the ground and knee tall poison sumac everywhere. Not to mention roots poking up everywhere. This was in the tent camping section. This place could be a gold mine with a lot of work. The grounds need leveling and topsoil brought in to cover roots (and glass). - often camper
Jan 2017 - $40.00
Stayed at Point A from December 27 until January 3rd. Very peaceful and serene. Had a lakefront site. The owner was absolutely fantastic. He helped us set the camper, was there for any questions/problems. He is the new owner and lives on site. He even came to the campers and emptied the tanks so you don't have to move the rig to the dump station. They are working on many improvements. I would recommend this campground if you are ever in the area; you won't be disappointed. - kate2800
Sep 2016 - $40.00
Found this place trying to avoid hurricane in Florida. Happily surprised! On a lake, nice big sites (parked on asphalt, but large grass site, shade trees), great Internet, over 150 cable channels, new owners-super nice people and working on making it a better. Bathrooms have been remodeled and are nice. Would come out of our way again to be here. Nice "camping". - mrbones0427
Sep 2017 - $29.00
Came to this park as part of the evacuation of Florida for hurricane Irma. Manager, and his staff, could not have been kinder or more generous. The manager was doing everything he could to find a spot for evacuees to get them off the road. I was met by camp workers at 12:30 am (after a 13 hour drive) to get me backed in and settled. Over the weekend, there was free food available for everyone at the unfinished (at that time) pavilion. Roads and sites are gravel and dirt. Water pressure is over 100 lbs, so be sure to use a pressure regulator. Motor gasoline, as well as, non-ethanol gasoline is available for campers and the general public. Main office has a small store with the usual supplies. Verizon voice and data excellent. ATT is non-existent. I am told you can get ATT service at the boat dock. We look forward to returning here for a much more leisurely stay. - moderate camper
Sep 2017 - $28.00
We evacuated from Fort Myers, FL from Hurricane Irma. So happy to get a spot in this awesome campground with truly compassionate staff. They even grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, had potato salad, baked beans, desserts for all of their campers, FREE of charge. May God bless everyone of them. We will return in better times to visit such an awesome campground and staff. Thank you many times over. To know you really care and want to help us in this time of need is so overwhelming. - Deb and Greg
Jul 2017 - $26.00
Great park and host team. Good Sam affiliate. Friendly, quiet. Just minutes from Andalusia for eating out or groceries/shopping. Beautiful lake. Boat rentals available, pontoons seemed to need some cosmetic repairs, but overall good if you didn't have a boat of your own. Store has plenty of items to choose from. The park is adding a very nice, large covered area for weddings, gatherings etc. very pleased with our stay. - Gatorgrammie
Jun 2017 - $25.00
This park is a friendly and safe park. The water activities and fishing was great. The owners were extremely helpful and nice. We look forward to our next camping trip. - Lane S.
May 2017 - $26.00
The park was under construction due due some sort of drainage or sewer problem. There was a dead bird on our site; no biggie, but it looked like it had been there for a good while. The homesteaders don't tie up their dogs, and look pretty comfortable (accumulated stuff) in the park. The lake was nice, as was the country store. The WIFI wouldn't have worked at our site, but we have the Alfa Campro wifi extender, so we were good. - wadebbi
Feb 2017 - $55.00
The owners are very busy updating this campground. We stayed in a onsite travel trailer. And will return with our camper next winter. We have been camping for over 50 years and seen everything, this campground has the most helpful, friendly, welcoming owner we have ever seen. Outstanding. - Jackson Dial
