22 RV Parks near Grant, Alabama
Oct 2017 - $40.00
Campground is right on the lake. We were lucky and picked two of the best campsites for lakefront views. Campground was clean, sites were tight getting into but spaced well apart for the most part. About half the campground is taken up by seasonal sites and they were clean and quiet. Camp staff was knowledgeable and helpful. - LDW5707
Jan 2017 - $36.00
Beautiful campground with awesome view of the mountains around the lake. We stayed on the lakefront for just 2 nights. Boat access nearby and several fishing piers. Nice roomy, wooded sites. Will go back. - CLCampers

Honeycomb is Federal property (TVA) leased to a management company. The layout and general construction is similar to a COE or US Federal Service campground. The management company does a good job in running this park. The facilities are well maintained.
Honeycomb has a monthly rate, and many of the campers here are "long term". However, the campground does not resemble a typical private campground with close spaced campers and plumbed in sewer connections. In fact, there are no sewer connections on these sites.
The sites are well spaced and level. Most are large enough for a motorhome, but check with the office before reserving; the map published on the Honeycomb website does not have lengths indicated on it. There is a nice fishing pier available to the campers and another close dock for boaters. There are two trails for hiking - one just around the CG and another longer trail that goes along the lake. Most sites are partially shady, but with enough holes in the trees to allow for satellite reception. There is a swimming beach also.
There is a small camp store that has junk food, camping supplies a d fishing worms.
The discount rate they offer for seniors is 10%. I forgot to ask for it when I registered and asked about it when I Checked in. Instead of giving me a refund for the 10%, they gave me a store credit, which was fine with me.
This is a nice CG and we will return. - Bama Camper

For a park in the state park system, this park gives Alabama a bad name. The park is in a valley near the Cathedral Cavern park building. It is not very well maintained. There are no lights in the park at night. The water faucet at my site was broken and leaked badly. The bathrooms were in poor conditions with many toilets and showers not working. the sites are all gravel with little room to enter or leave the site in a large vehicle. The sites are also not level. You will need leveling pads for certain. There is no cell service in the area, no TV and no WIFI. You must go at least five miles away from the park to get cell service. The only thing we enjoyed about the park was the tour of the Caverns. This is a very beautiful cave system and a must see, but do not camp overnight at the park. - chevytrkr

We were looking for a camp site for the night near the Unclaimed Baggage store in Scottsboro, and this was close and on the way. We arrived at the state park at night without reservations but the gate to the park and visitors center was closed. We were about to leave when a Ranger pulled up behind us and pointed out that we had passed the campground road a few hundred feet back and we could just pick a spot and pay in the morning (just watch for the small campground sign on the right just after you make the last turn to the park road). He then helped us back into one of the electric back-in sites, which were actually pretty wide and long enough to allow us to keep our 16' Camper and pickup attached.
The sites are all grass, entered from a gravel loop road. The electric and water sites appear to be back-in, and there are a few primitive pull-through sites inside the loop, mostly used by tenters and class B vans.
The restroom was well lit and clean. They hope to get a dump station next year, but there was none available at this time.
This would be an excellent spot for a visit to the nice caverns at this state park, they are just up the hill at the visitors center. - johnhag
Sep 2017 - $40.00
Clean park with concrete or paved sites. Owner owned sites. Most are back in, although there are six huge modern pull through. Public lake access within a mile. Park roads are somewhat tight but easily negotiated. - GIJoe2011
Jul 2013 - $40.00
Great Park. Ownership, but they do rent some sites. Very friendly, near lots of wilderness, hiking, parks and lakes for fishing. - User3143
Apr 2012 - $22.00
A little out of the way and not on the lake, but very clean and a very friendly manager. This is a deed purchase park where unused lots are rented as camp sites. All roads are paved, and the sites are large with concrete pads and patios. Water hook up was a little inconvenient, but managable. We would stay here again. - ratracer
Oct 2017 - $14.00
Convenient access to Hwy. Downside is it's to close to hwy. Road noise began about 4:30 and was pretty constant. No problems with site, level pull thru. If you can ignore traffic noise it's just fine. - abqnm
Sep 2017 - $30.00
We stayed monthly. The monthly cost was good but did not include cable, wifi, and they provided only a modest electrical credit. No cell phone service for T-Mobile (at all) but Verizon and AT&T worked. The pool was already closed end of August. No park manager on site until 12:30 pm every day as the owners run a small gas station 1/2 mile from RV park. In cold weather, they require you to weather proof the water feed or they turn it off. If you need cable it cost extra and they don't provide cable wire. We couldn't get over the air tv at all. Owners were easy to talk to but always too busy to help with any issue except selling propane. Traffic noise was aweful. I would not advise anyone to plan a long term stay as we did but a two or three day overnight would be fine. Just don't arrive before 12:00 pm unless you can call them. - Wilhite
Jul 2017 - $30.00
A small park and small sites. Mine was about 20'x45'. The owner is very outgoing and helpful with local info. The 4 lane to the space center is right there. Very little traffic. Easy access and easy return. No worry's about city streets and such. Basic admission to space center $25. ea. No cable but antenna got locals and sat for the rest. Wifi OK at the enclosure in center of park. The salt water pool was very refreshing. Lots of room to walk the dog. Ok for a few days to see the local area, but sites are small. - Libby
Apr 2018 - $25.00
Great service and amenities with many recreation opportunities and onsite dining, dog park, OTA TV service. Sites are close together like most parks and need much more gravel (some sites have none). Cement Patio was at or below grade so dried slowly and difficult to remove mud from recent rain and prior occupants. Got a lot of mud on my truck and trailer due to insufficient gravel. - AL RVer
Feb 2018 - $1.00
We stayed here on a trial membership to OCP. This place must have done a lot of work since some of the previous reviews. It has all the facilities listed in reviews plus excellent Wi-Fi and AT&T service. Due to the time of the year it had only a few campers. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 was the lack of limestone at our exit door but while we were there they had a tractor hauling and spreading at other sites so I assume they will all be repaired. Our kids are grown so it's just the two of us but I can see that it is an excellent place for kids. Indoor and outdoor pools, put put gulf, basketball, volleyball and tennis court, etc. It is a resort, not just a campground If we decide to purchase a membership it will be because of this campground - dlfishing
May 2017 - $10.00
Bought a membership in March. Pro's. Staff is great. Very well maintained. Con's Very crowded during holiday periods. Constant parade of golf carts, ATV's cars and trucks from daylight until quiet time. Would like them to ban all the traffic unless arriving or departing. Way too much traffic, don't feel safe when walking or biking due to constant traffic. - Esccargot
Sep 2012 - $22.00
Campsites could be leveled better; there are a fair number of semi permanent campers. Host was helpful and friendly. There was a dump station, two bath houses, boat ramp, and good neighbors. Quiet campground located on Lake Guntersville. We will camp there again. - AU Fishing
Oct 2016 - $22.00
We had a beautiful spot. On the water with a pier 20 feet away. Very well kept. We will be coming back. - Mamad0222
May 2009 - $27.00
We got reservations to stay here 3 nights and left after 1! This is the worse campground that I have not only seen, but stayed at! Our campsite is on a hill so bad that my motorhome won't get level and to even get close, my back tires are over 12" off the ground!!! We were told all sites are water front, but we are a ways away from the water. We brought dogs and the grass is taller than they are! We are moving 2 hours away to Chattanooga, just to not have to stay here anymore!!! Terrible!!! - 3Peeps4Dogs5thWheel
Mar 2018 - $32.00
This is not a campground for "camping" in that sense of the word. It is a parking lot for RVs that has lots of amenities for kids and families. The sites are very crowded and small and there is not adequate room to park a tow vehicle for most campsites, therefore everyone has to park on the overcrowded streets. Many sites are muddy after a rain. No fire rings and no campfires allowed on the ground. I do not recommend this "resort" if you want to enjoy nature and enjoy rustic camping. If, on the other hand, you want lots of things to do for the kids, this may be your place. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, basketball courts, carpet golf, game rooms, a spa, exercise room, card room, pavilions and a marina. Kids and golf carts are everywhere. At $32/nite, if that's what you are looking for, it's a fairly good value. The resort has a two week limit on stays, but it appeared some campers have been longer term that that. - Bama Camper
Oct 2016 - $105.00
We stayed in one of the rental houses. The house was nice and clean. The park amenities were good. The indoor heated pool temperature was good. The hot tub was relaxing. Fishing was bad and the shoreline full of milfoil. The park was nice for my little girl but the putt putt was slanted and in need of repair. Hate not having wifi except in the clubhouse and it was still sketchy. But over all we had a good time and park was nice. - Nerveman
Sep 2012 - $32.00
Please don't be deceived by the pictures from the website. This "resort" is much older than it looks and the "amenities" are not as they appear. We arrived on a Tuesday and were greeted by nice employees who checked us in and told us that we could just drive around and find a spot that we liked. As we drove through the park, it became clear that this was a "long term stay" resort that looked a lot like a mobile home park. We finally found a spot and set up. We had been camping for several days before, so my wife wanted to do laundry at their facilities. When she entered the laundry room, she found 4 washers that were all being used by the same person. We tried fishing from the pier, but the hydrilla is so bad in the lake that it makes it almost impossible to fish (this is not a negative towards the resort). We took our children to the game room which ended up as a disaster. They tried 3 different games, each costing .50, and all 3 games took the money without letting them play. We went to the office and the only response we received was "sorry, but we don't give refunds on the game room". By the way, there is no sign in the game room stating this, and the fact that we were with the kids when it happened should have been sufficient for them to refund our $1.50. The "miniature golf" course is a joke. All of the holes are identical and they were covered in leaves. The only amenity that proved to be worth the stay was the indoor pool. However, my wife had to call me to come to the pool due to the fact that some old man was sitting in the jacuzzi staring at my wife and kids. When I arrived, he quickly left. All in all, this resort is not worth the $32/night that they charge, and they definitely need to update their amenities or update the pics on their website. They also need to do a better job of keeping up the place and not letting it look "trashy". The woman who was using all of the washing machines informed my wife that they had to fumigate their RV for fleas due to the fact that the park had become infested. I sprayed/fogged the area around our trailer on a regular basis and we did not have any problems with fleas. We will not be returning to Little Mountain Resort. - bddo
Mar 2018 - $30.00
Stay was great. Full hookup with 50amp. All sites are a bit unlevel. Views are awsome. Deer roam freely and are plentiful. A few handicap spots with level concrete pads available but fill up fast. NO wifi unless you use some sort of WiFi extender. WAP is .5 miles away depending on which section you are assigned. We always enjoy this "local to us" campground. - rv retirement
Feb 2018 - $24.00
The park is very nice. We stayed 14 days and had a very nice time. The restrooms are clean but really needs an update. The only complaint I have is people with too many dogs and some of the people allowing dogs to run loose. The park should step up to these people and put a stop to this. The park is really beautiful. Don't allow a few to ruin this great experience for the rest of the visitors. - Joe Mallory
May 2017 - $30.00
The campground was very clean and quiet. The staff was helpful and very kind. I carried a dog and everything went well. - JS_123
