Absolutely one of our favorite campgrounds ever. The site we had was right on the lake. I could walk out the door and make a few cast and catch a fish. Everyone that worked at the park were great and willing to help with anything they could. The camp staffer that helped us with everything from the honeywagon to renting the pontoon boat was awesome. To be fair the restrooms could be upgraded but they are still very functional, especially for our needs. Roads were very good and check in staff and store staff were also exceptional. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Motorhome.

If you like seafood I recommend Wintzells, especially their raw oysters happy hour 3-6. If not bringing a boat, rent one, the lake is beautiful.

Campground is right on the lake. We were lucky and picked two of the best campsites for lakefront views. Campground was clean, sites were tight getting into but spaced well apart for the most part. About half the campground is taken up by seasonal sites and they were clean and quiet. Camp staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Beautiful campground with awesome view of the mountains around the lake. We stayed on the lakefront for just 2 nights. Boat access nearby and several fishing piers. Nice roomy, wooded sites. Will go back. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Honeycomb is Federal property (TVA) leased to a management company. The layout and general construction is similar to a COE or US Federal Service campground. The management company does a good job in running this park. The facilities are well maintained.

Honeycomb has a monthly rate, and many of the campers here are "long term". However, the campground does not resemble a typical private campground with close spaced campers and plumbed in sewer connections. In fact, there are no sewer connections on these sites.

The sites are well spaced and level. Most are large enough for a motorhome, but check with the office before reserving; the map published on the Honeycomb website does not have lengths indicated on it. There is a nice fishing pier available to the campers and another close dock for boaters. There are two trails for hiking - one just around the CG and another longer trail that goes along the lake. Most sites are partially shady, but with enough holes in the trees to allow for satellite reception. There is a swimming beach also.

There is a small camp store that has junk food, camping supplies a d fishing worms.

The discount rate they offer for seniors is 10%. I forgot to ask for it when I registered and asked about it when I Checked in. Instead of giving me a refund for the 10%, they gave me a store credit, which was fine with me.

This is a nice CG and we will return. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was our first stay at Honeycomb but it won't be our last. We reserved a site on the lake and had a beautiful view. The gravel site was perfectly level side to side and close to level front to back as well. There are no sewer hookups, but for a $12 fee, the honeywagon will come to clean out your holding tanks. We took advantage of this & avoided the line at the dump station when we left. The bath houses were well-stocked and cleaned each morning. My only complaint was that the staff came around to clean them between 8:00 & 9:00, when most people wanted to take showers. The sites have a lot of shade, mostly pine trees. There are boat docks, a beach & swimming area on the lake and a campground store. The firewood was overpriced ($5.00 for a 5-piece bundle) but we didn't see anywhere else nearby to buy it. The sites have large metal firepits and nice metal mesh picnic tables. We look forward to returning to Honeycomb! We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed about a week. Beautiful place to camp, right on the lake. Rest rooms are kept very clean. Good WiFi reception. The only negative is they don't have sewer hookups at the site. You have to use a honey wagon if you are staying more than a few days. Very beautiful place to camp! We would stay here again. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Had another excellent stay at Honeycomb. Campground is always clean and staff is helpful. Nothing like being able to take 6 steps and casting in to Lake Guntersville and pulling out a bass. Still I wish they had sewage hookup but maybe that will come at some point in the future. That's the only reason for a 8 instead of 10. Its still a great weekend away. We camped in a 5th Wheel. Best management I've seen in a long time. Absolutely no junk or trash to be seen anywhere. They even sweep the streets and use leaf blowers on the building roofs. A very family oriented campground. Some sites are unlevel and seem to be dirt topped with gravel which does seem to "give" under extreme pressure. Would like to see more sites for large, heavy motorhomes. Poor cell and satellite signals but we didn't care. Good night time lighting for dog walks and kids playing after dark. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Motorhome.

Absolutely our favorite campground anywhere we've been in the southeast. The view of the lake is so beautiful and the park with all it's shade trees very relaxing. If you can manage to get yourself up early enough, watching the sunrise over the mountain on the other side of the lake is incredible.

Very nice camp store, pontoon and fishing boats for rent. They even have some nice trailer rentals in case you want to meet friends that don't have their own.

The staff is the best, always friendly and helpful. Two people even took us around in golf carts during our first visit to help us choose a site. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Love this campground. Have been a number of times. Took our pontoon a couple of times. Just came back home from camping They have clean bathrooms, showers and the staff are very friendly. Lots have been worked on and are more level than before. Speed limit and rule to stay off grass is enforced as it should be. They have made improvement since last year. Live it at honeycomb, the only place we stay in guntersville. Beautiful water front lots. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Travel Trailer.

I am very, very stingy with my 10s! For us, this campground had it all. We stayed directly on the waterfront (site 66). Our gravel pad was level, the view of the lake was unrestricted, there was plenty of space between sites, our Tailgater had perfect access to its satellites, the staff was outstanding. As an example, we had a neighbor with a yapping dog, we mentioned it to the office and they had a man out in about 2 minutes talking to the campers. The problem was fixed. Access to Guntersville was easy and we found the short access road from the highway to the campground to be benign. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Stopped for 1 night on the way to Cloudland, but stayed for 4 and skipped Cloudland. Really loved this campground. Everything was clean and in good condition, a very nice campstore and all the staff was very friendly and helpful.

The place is beautiful, heavily shaded, overlooking the lake with the hills in the background. Our pad was level and site in nice condition.

This will likely become a regular destination for us. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Honeycomb campground is within an hour of our home and one of our favorite places for a long weekend getaway. It has a very nice and clean swimming beach area. It is true that most sites are not level, but that does not bother me too much. About twenty yards of the road leading up to the entrance gate is in disrepair, but the roads within the park are good paved roads. Cell phone and TV reception in the area is poor, which is a plus for me. I have heard others complain about the strict rules concerning parking multiple vehicles and boats at the campsites. In my opinion these are great rules. They keep the roads clear and there is an area for overflow and boat parking. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Great staff. Really nice, clean TVA park that has been redone recently. Large pines on beautiful Lake Guntersville. Some challenge in leveling and required portable satellite dish versus rooftop dome. Good Verizon service. Bet the place is busy during warmer season. Was recommended by a friend and a good recommendation is was. Will come again. We camped at Honeycomb Campground in a Motorhome.

We love camping here because it is close to Huntsville, and it is on the lake. There is a nice camp store, a good swim beach, and this is a great part of the lake for boating. The people who run the campground are so nice and helpful and really work hard to make sure everyone has a good experience. They ride around constantly, checking to make sure all is well. The only negative is that a lot of the sites are short and uneven. Make sure you bring plenty of blocks, etc. to build up for your jacks. You will need it!
