This is an oddly laid out park, probably because it is so hilly. The restrooms and laundry are old and rusty. - mountainfan

We stayed for the first time at Oak Mountain and were not impressed with our site nor the blaring of radios being played outside as we were trying to relax by the campfire. We stayed at site A5 and were on the road. Literally! I would not recommend this site for anyone with small children. This site is listed as a pull through but it is nothing more than a pull over area. We only saw the park ranger once the entire time we were there. We were very disappointed with the entire experience and will not be back.... - Sharrell

My wife had a doctor's appointment at UAB medical center and we stayed here for three days. The site we had was shaded and level with 30 amp service. We enjoyed our stay but were unable to use our satellite due to the trees surrounding our site. - Fordiesel250

We stayed here one night enroute to Louisiana. Easy access from highway and easy to get in and out of the park. This is a large paved parking area park of a large sports complex. It was quiet when we were there - only about 25% full. Full hookups we easy to access. Well lit area that felt safe. - KateNMB

This park was given to us by another campground that couldn't accommodate our 40' Class A. It was OK for one night but I wouldn't go back. It was a bit difficult to find and more off the freeway than i like to go. It is all blacktop with daily trash pickup (you have your own trash can), 50 amp power and great WIFI. I placed our reservation and paid on the internet so there is no one on site. Clean, level spots but with all that black top it was super hot. If there was a game going on at the sports facility there would be no room for your car. Just not my cup of tea. - Let'sGo!

A big parking lot with full hookups in the Hoover Metropolitan Complex. No amenities but perfect for a night passing through or if you're attending an event. Very clean. There are enough grassy areas around the perimeter of the parking lots to walk the dog. It poured when we were there but drainage is good so no issues. As said previously you register and pay on line and then just drive to your spot. No need to check in. Not long enough to leave the tow hooked up but wide enough we could squeeze it beside us. - Patricia57
