1 Park near Greenville, Alabama
May 2015 - $25.00
We stayed 1 night while traveling through the area.
The park is located several miles off I-65 along acceptable 2 lane paved roads.
The park was built on a hill resulting in an unusual layout. Some of the roads and sites required some interesting maneuvering.
The interior roads are paved. The roads & sites could be considered narrow. The parking pads were either paved or concrete. A few pull through sites were just long enough for a coach with the toad attached.
Some of the sites were laid out strangely that required utility connections to be run under the RV to reach the connections. Not much privacy as the sites are very close to each other.
There was an outside table and a fire pit.
Asked for a satellite friendly site when made the reservations. Didn't get one. There were trees to interfere with satellite reception. Couldn't get any broadcast channels.
Our Verizon hotspot reception was good.
No designated pet area but there was sufficient distance along the park roads to walk dogs. There were no bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste and the only garbage collection point was near the one bathhouse in the campground.
No dumpster available but there was garbage pickup at your site.
Cash or checks only - no credit cards.
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter and none of the buildings were designated as shelters.
Would not stay here again. - bsb814

This is a gem of a park. Very clean, long level pull throughs, good tv on the antenna, and good wifi. Cash or check only. Only about 8 minutes from the interstate. If in the area we will stay here again. - arkietraveler

Beautiful park just a few miles off I-65. Don't follow your GPS because it will take you past the entrance, and then it will be very difficult to get turned around again. Instead, watch the signs along the road as you approach the campground. If traffic noise bothers you, try to get a site further away from the highway. It's only a 2-lane highway, but it's also a truck route. The only real complaint I had was that there is only one bathroom/shower for each gender. Not nearly enough, especially since a large number of sites don't have sewer hookups, so lots of folks want to use the park shower. Other than that, it's a very nice park to spend a few days in. Lots of trees, good roads and sites, nice lake, and a walking path. - michdoc
