Only 1 shower, 1 sink, & 2 toilets in the restroom. Low water pressure in the shower. Very poor WiFi - could not connect. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This park was set in the country and was a lovely quiet park, lots of trees, etc. The grounds were well kept. Convenience to Interstate 65 was our reason for choosing it and we slept well without any disturbances. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Wonderful quiet campground with spacious sites and concrete pads. Nice little walking trail by a lake. City campground. Don't accept credit cards - must pay with cash or check. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

Cash or check only. Nice city park and well maintained. No cable but can get about 7 local channels. Great for a night or two. Went on a nice walk around the lake. This was our first time in Alabama. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

We have stayed here many times overnight while traveling and we have spent a week here three different times. Never have we had a bad experience. The park is one of the best kept places we have been to. The staff are some of the nicest people you would ever want to deal with. The park is a city park owner by Grenville AL. It is well taken care of and maintained. All the utilities work fine and cell phone service is excellent. They don’t have cable TV but you can pick up 8 - 10 stations on an antenna. I will defiantly stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

This a secluded, wooded park. Quiet and clean. The sites are gravel with grass between each. The staff was very friendly and escorted me to my site. I would have rated the park higher however, like so many they claim they offer Wi-Fi. You have Wi-Fi if you are within 30 feet of the office. I would return knowing that this is just a place to park for a day or two. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $25.00
Secluded campground in a beautifully wooded setting. Paved road & our site was a paved pull-thru parallel to the road. It was very easy in & out. Wi-Fi signal was a little weak, but worked fine. Staff was very friendly & helpful. We only stayed one night & did not get to check out the lakes & walking trails mentioned by earlier reviewers. We will definitely return & stay longer on our next trip. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

In our travels we use RV Reviews to determine the best available campground when it's time to stop for the night. After a long day of driving in the rain, we saw a break in the clouds and decided to stop early for the night. Check in was great and the staff showed us to our long, wide spot. Shortly after setting up, the storm caught up with us and the power suddenly went out. The manager was kind enough to come to each RV and personally assure us that power should be restored soon. It took a little over an hour, but the power came back on and the rain stopped. Drainage was awesome and in no time the puddles were gone. We highly recommend this park and give it two thumbs up. Beautiful woodland sites. Very helpful staff. Wi-Fi signal strength a bit weak. Lovely lakes and golf course close-by. Private and secluded. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.Undo

We stopped here overnight (during a rainy trip from Nashville to south Alabama), so we didn't 'check' out the park. Easy to get to from Interstate, and our spot was easy to park and level up. Pull through so didn't have to unhook tow car. We plan on stopping again on our way north this spring. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This was a stopover on Interstate 65. 45 miles south of Montgomery. About 2 miles from the Interstate. We had a 45 foot RV with a 20 foot trailer and they had a spot that worked perfectly. Owner stayed late to make sure we got to our spot and led us by golf cart. A large number of permanent residents but a very nice park overall. Beautiful lake - natural and the spaces are well separated. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $25.00
Very nice park for an overnight stay just 3 miles from the I-65. Several level pull through sites with most sites full hook up. Attendant will take you to your site in his golf cart. Cash only, no credit cards taken.Good Sam park. Nice walking trail around the small lake. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

A pretty city park located off the beaten track in a quiet area: quiet, green, and well-kept. Very convenient to the interstate, yet far enough away to miss the noise. Friendly manager. We stayed here in a large rig for several nights: totally enjoyed our visit and will return again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $30.00
The park itself was 2/3 empty. We asked for a back in site, and he said "none available". Our "pull through" amounted to a "pull over along the side of the camp road". We had no fire ring, no table, and no room to sit next to our motorhome. Management was no help, and just said, this is all we have. The park itself was clean, and probably a good place to spend a night, but I wouldn't want to spend more than that there. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This was our second and third visits. We now list this as one of our favorite parks. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is the playground is a pretty long hike from the campground (of course it did do me some good as I need the exercise). The over night pull-through sites are long and fairly level and the hook-ups are conveniently located. In addition to the playground there is a nice lake and walking trails. We will be back!
