We stayed 1 night while traveling through the area.

The park is located several miles off I-65 along acceptable 2 lane paved roads.

The park was built on a hill resulting in an unusual layout. Some of the roads and sites required some interesting maneuvering.

The interior roads are paved. The roads & sites could be considered narrow. The parking pads were either paved or concrete. A few pull through sites were just long enough for a coach with the toad attached.

Some of the sites were laid out strangely that required utility connections to be run under the RV to reach the connections. Not much privacy as the sites are very close to each other.

There was an outside table and a fire pit.

Asked for a satellite friendly site when made the reservations. Didn't get one. There were trees to interfere with satellite reception. Couldn't get any broadcast channels.

Our Verizon hotspot reception was good.

No designated pet area but there was sufficient distance along the park roads to walk dogs. There were no bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste and the only garbage collection point was near the one bathhouse in the campground.

No dumpster available but there was garbage pickup at your site.

Cash or checks only - no credit cards.

For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter and none of the buildings were designated as shelters.

Would not stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.

This is a gem of a park. Very clean, long level pull throughs, good tv on the antenna, and good wifi. Cash or check only. Only about 8 minutes from the interstate. If in the area we will stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park just a few miles off I-65. Don't follow your GPS because it will take you past the entrance, and then it will be very difficult to get turned around again. Instead, watch the signs along the road as you approach the campground. If traffic noise bothers you, try to get a site further away from the highway. It's only a 2-lane highway, but it's also a truck route. The only real complaint I had was that there is only one bathroom/shower for each gender. Not nearly enough, especially since a large number of sites don't have sewer hookups, so lots of folks want to use the park shower. Other than that, it's a very nice park to spend a few days in. Lots of trees, good roads and sites, nice lake, and a walking path. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.

This park was set in the country and was a lovely quiet park, lots of trees, etc. The grounds were well kept. Convenience to Interstate 65 was our reason for choosing it and we slept well without any disturbances. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.

Wonderful quiet campground with spacious sites and concrete pads. Nice little walking trail by a lake. City campground. Don't accept credit cards - must pay with cash or check. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cash or check only. Nice city park and well maintained. No cable but can get about 7 local channels. Great for a night or two. Went on a nice walk around the lake. This was our first time in Alabama. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This a secluded, wooded park. Quiet and clean. The sites are gravel with grass between each. The staff was very friendly and escorted me to my site. I would have rated the park higher however, like so many they claim they offer Wi-Fi. You have Wi-Fi if you are within 30 feet of the office. I would return knowing that this is just a place to park for a day or two. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.

We have stayed here many times overnight while traveling and we have spent a week here three different times. Never have we had a bad experience. The park is one of the best kept places we have been to. The staff are some of the nicest people you would ever want to deal with. The park is a city park owner by Grenville AL. It is well taken care of and maintained. All the utilities work fine and cell phone service is excellent. They don’t have cable TV but you can pick up 8 - 10 stations on an antenna. I will defiantly stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Secluded campground in a beautifully wooded setting. Paved road & our site was a paved pull-thru parallel to the road. It was very easy in & out. Wi-Fi signal was a little weak, but worked fine. Staff was very friendly & helpful. We only stayed one night & did not get to check out the lakes & walking trails mentioned by earlier reviewers. We will definitely return & stay longer on our next trip. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.

In our travels we use RV Reviews to determine the best available campground when it's time to stop for the night. After a long day of driving in the rain, we saw a break in the clouds and decided to stop early for the night. Check in was great and the staff showed us to our long, wide spot. Shortly after setting up, the storm caught up with us and the power suddenly went out. The manager was kind enough to come to each RV and personally assure us that power should be restored soon. It took a little over an hour, but the power came back on and the rain stopped. Drainage was awesome and in no time the puddles were gone. We highly recommend this park and give it two thumbs up. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stopped here overnight (during a rainy trip from Nashville to south Alabama), so we didn't 'check' out the park. Easy to get to from Interstate, and our spot was easy to park and level up. Pull through so didn't have to unhook tow car. We plan on stopping again on our way north this spring. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.

This was a stopover on Interstate 65. 45 miles south of Montgomery. About 2 miles from the Interstate. We had a 45 foot RV with a 20 foot trailer and they had a spot that worked perfectly. Owner stayed late to make sure we got to our spot and led us by golf cart. A large number of permanent residents but a very nice park overall. Beautiful lake - natural and the spaces are well separated. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Motorhome.

Cash only, no credit cards taken.Good Sam park. Nice walking trail around the small lake. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sherling Lake Park in a Fifth Wheel.
