The park is very nice and clean everyone was friendly. We had an awesome spot in the back that felt very private. We enjoyed our stay. The downside to this park was only one bathhouse so there was a wait. I believe they are in the process of adding another which will be great. They have a nice pool and indoor rec area. No hot tub. The biggest complaint we have is when you leave the campground to go to the beach you have to cross the toll bridge and the traffic gets backed up there also there is no left turn or a turn to enter the street coming back either so you have to travel a bit out of the way to get back to the campground. This campground is lovely but add extra time for the toll you will be going through it every time you leave and return. The cell service was hit and miss they do have WiFi which helped but could be better We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is our third and probably last stay in the last three years. Sites are nice and wide, restrooms and showers are very clean, so-so WiFi, nice but small pool. The staff, on the other hand, borders on being rude. In February, one month after we made our reservation, I called to reserve an additional site for 6 nights for my daughter's family. I made a point of requesting the sites be as close as they could. I called in April to confirm both reservations as well as my request. When we checked in they acted like they had no idea that the reservations were connected and put her in a site at the opposite side of the park. The women I spoke with said "well it'll be good exercise"! The office doesn't really seem to care and mostly seem like it's an inconvenience to assist. Nice park but I won't stay here again. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

One of the nicest RV parks that we have visited. The park is a short 10 minutes away from the Gulf Shores beach in a quiet area surrounded by mature forest. The park has every possible amenity. They have extremely nice and clean bathrooms, showers and laundry room in one of their 3 buildings. The other buildings include a public gathering room with board games, puzzles, library, public use computer and printer and kitchen. The park has a large grass area that includes a volleyball area, shuffle board, large fire pit with seating area and kids playground. The sites are long and wide with plenty of distance and landscaping between spaces. The sites are all concrete and have a picnic table at each. The wifi at the park was strong and worked great. We will definitely stay at this park when we return to Gulf Shores. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Park is 4 years old. Drop down gate entrance into park. Well designed with wide asphalt streets, storm drains, good turning radius and very level concrete pads. Palm trees and shrub landscaping in between each RV site. Excellent club house that has a very attractive, large community space with high ceilings, kitchen and large screen televisions. Designed with several garage doors (glass lenses) to enhance summer functions. Free standing laundry and shower facility that was just as clean as home! Newly installed WiFi that suffered from a lack of reliability. Seem to be a strong signal, but dropped connection often - probably will be resolved. Small commercial airport nearby. Could hear the planes, but was not disturbed by their activity. Very close and very accessible to "Foley Beach Expressway". Convenient to Hwy 59 shopping and the Gulf Shores beaches, yet away from the crowds and traffic. It appeared that there were one to two maintenance staff and two office staff during most of the day. All of them very friendly and courteous. Professional, attractive zero entry pool with ample chaise loungers and chairs. Two shuffleboards, volleyball net, public fire pit and one childrens play area. We stayed at this park in a Class B, but the Class A's and 5th wheels fit in the spaces very well. The pads are exceptionally wide. We enjoyed a great experience at this park. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Nice park however upkeep is poor. Palm trees have died off and will not be replaced. Grass is dying off from a fungus and is not being green Wi fi goes out daily and when working is slow.tv good however for some reason could not function from our video control box. Had to unhook and hook directly to only one tv. Pool is nice, no hot tub. Pads level, concrete . Rates are going up next year by 35% and 13% Baldwin tax lodging tax will be added to daily or other rates. We have been coming for years here but will stay in Florida due to park rates and management problems. Also a new gate which is close to roscoe rd makes it hard to get into park with long rig. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Large speed bumps on main road. All parks in Gulf Shores have jumped rates for 2018. 13% tax is county wide. I would look elsewhere to vacation due to high costs.

The park seemed fairly new. It was easy to navigate and they even helped me back into my spot. The park was clean and very quite except the fact we were near the two lane road. The road was noisy and we heard cars all night. The pool was small but nice and the main building was large with lots of activities if you wanted to play games or entertain the kids. The park was close to track and close enough to the beach and restaurants. I would definitely stay hear again but I will try to get a spot near the back. We stayed at site 38. Tips for other Campers:

You cannot turn left on the expressway. Turn right to avoid the toll road or to head north. Also, turn directly off the beach expressway before the toll road to have the easier path.

We just came back from staying there. This is an awesome RV park. The place is pretty and in a great location. Its just far enough from the busy beach scene. The sites are concrete pads with picnic table, and it was leveled. They came by daily to pick up trash by 1030 am. The restrooms are super nice and clean. The pool looked great, however we did not use. While we were there, they finished a nice outdoor fire pit for the park itself. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They are pet friendly with plenty of space to walk them. The roads are well paved as well. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here and will stay again, as well as recommend to our friends!!!! Stayed one week. After check-in, were escorted to our space by one of the resort's camp hosts, who blew off our site before we backed in AND sprayed a small wasp nest at the utility box! The site was a back-in with a wooded area behind us. Very wide sites, wide enough to park two cars or trucks side by side. Lots of space between sites for a private RV park with really nice landscaping. Daily trash pick-up by park staff. Neat, tidy, well-kept. Painted picnic tables at each site. Paved interior roads with concrete ribbons. Utilities worked well, cable hook-up, WIFI (a little weak during the day). Not located on the water but very accessible to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Even though it is very close to the toll bridge to The Wharf, we go west for a couple of miles and end up near Cotton Creek Golf Club to eat at Kittys Kafe. Great breakfast. Then go south from there to the beach. Hate paying tolls.

The other reviews are more than adequate. But, we have 3 large dogs and we didn't think there was adequate space for dog walking. Fortunately, there is an absolutely FANTASTIC dog park directly behind the Post Office in nearby Farley. Best we've ever seen. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is an outstanding RV park. Large sites with concrete pads surrounded by well maintained grass with shrubs between sites. There are woods that surround the park which gives the exterior sites more privacy. Attractive and large activities building but not much going on while we were there in November. There is a community fire pit, playground and a couple shuffle board courts but that's about it. There isn't a dog area but there is plenty of grass while walking your dog around the park. Our dogs stayed very clean while we were here. Good cable and wifi actually worked well at our site.

We paid $272 for a week's stay inclusive of all taxes. We would stay here again. We camped at Sugar Sands RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Gulf Shores Seafood on Hwy 59 is great for your seafood. Get a shrimp boil to go from there and bring it back to eat. Gulf State Park is real treat with a huge dog park and bike paths. A great restaurant was Ginny Lane at The Wharf in Orange Beach.
