This is a no frills park for sure. It is OK for a 1 night stop, not much more. All of the water spigots are below grade and flooded with water and ??. I was not going to hook up and contaminate my water system!! Easy off the highway, about a 1/2 mile. - hoefler

Catoma Loop in Gunter Hill COE Park is as good as it gets if you like large wooded sites, peace, quiet and full hookups. All interior roads are paved and the sites pads are concrete. Each site has a large gravel patio with a fire pit, lantern post with a shelf, BBQ grill and large table. There is no cable and satellite reception would be available only at a handful of sites. Over the air TV reception was very good, however. I had 2-3 bars of Verizon service.
Many sites have a view of the creeks that surround the campground. The large bath house is very nice and has a laundry. While you are deep in the woods of Catoma, Al., Prattville with all the shopping and restaurants you could want is less than 15 minutes away as is downtown Montgomery. My only negative comment is the grass was in need of cutting. It was high when we arrived Monday and had not been cut when left Friday morning. The Antioch loop is a different story. The roads are ruff and tight. The sites aren't much better either. I would not describe Antioch as poor but doesn't approach the Catoma Loop. - bamawig
Jun 2018 - $13.00
We stayed in the Catoma loop which was great. The sites were wide, level and easy to back into. There was a good distance between sites and a lot of visual separation as well. The Catoma loop is the best laid out campground we have seen. The Antioch loop was a different story. The road was narrow, tight turns and very full of pot holes. It would not be a good choice for a big rig. - winnie1

Lovely place. Lots of tall shade trees, had a site (#101) near the river. We actually got a satellite signal here. Main road paved, old but no problems to drive on. Gravel sites look level, there is a playground and basketball court, plus a nice small park with a covered dining area. - 2hapicampers

Due to some reviews we were wondering about staying here! We travel for six months a year and stay in approximately 50 parks. We have found this park to be very acceptable! Yes the road in is gravel and the sites are gravel but there is lots of space between sites and the site will handle your tow vehicle also. This park is well maintained and close to I 65. You do not hear road noise at night. This is a great park for over nite or short term. - oniedu

Way too much money for what you get. It is a rundown parking lot. - Psushu
Jul 2018 - $29.00
We needed a place to stay till parts came to repair our tow vehicle. The mechanic recommended this place. What luck...half price our entire stay. - DJanis
Oct 2018 - $27.00
An approximate 100 site big rig friendly campground mostly open with few trees or shade. LP fill at entrance to sites. WARNING---Very high water pressure (100 psi) Bath house and laundry on site but we did not use. Gravel sites with small amount of grass in between. - DeRenzy

This is not a resort, but a great place to stop overnight. Staff is very friendly. Will stop here when passing through again. - G_Hart
Aug 2018 - $27.00
The park itself is nice. The staff is friendly. The sites are spacious, level & the hookups are well positioned. Water pressure is high bring a regulator. We had no trouble getting satellite signal & they do have cable. The WiFi is iffy. There is plenty of grass by the sites & the perimeter of the park makes a nice walk for the dogs. Very little shade & no picnic tables. There is a playground. There are a lot of long term RV's. The RV's themselves are not in the greatest condition but their sites are well kept. There are quite a few fast food restaurants near the park but the closest sit down nice restaurant is a Longhorn several miles down where Hwy 231 intersects. The park is not in a very good part of town. Lots of businesses have closed. - Connie's Co-Owner
Mar 2012 - $10.00
Prior reviews tell it all. One note for prior visitors, the campsite numbers have been changed. For example our wonderful site last year was 27, this year it is 102. TV reception last year was good, this year we only got PBS. Our Verizon phone was marginal, Verizon data service OK. The rate is for Golden Age card. - rncordy
Aug 2008 - $25.00
This park is now run by AWA properties and does NOT have any amenities except basic cable TV is provided (no bath house/laundry). We loved it being close to shopping yet woodsy and out of site of traffic. We lived here fulltime for nearly a year. The electric is not metered: included in the rent. There are only 2 pull through sites. Mrs Watson still lives in big house behind park. I'd highly recommend this park for someone working in the Montgomery area. - slawrence
