2 Parks near Jasper, Alabama
May 2016 - $20.00
The roads and sites are asphalt and in good shape. Sites are level. Electric and water only, but are in good shape. The site has pea gravel around the picnic table and grill. No cable, now wifi, but antenna will pick up 5 or 6 stations. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Grounds are neat. There is swimming in the lake and good fishing. The park is located about 12 to 15 miles north of Jasper, Alabama. - Alabama Jim
Jul 2014 - $16.00
Our rate is the America the Beautiful pass rate. This place is gorgeous, peaceful, and very clean. The site was asphalt and fairly level. We had a large picnic table area overlooking the lake. They have some double sites (double cost) if you're traveling with someone. The town of Jasper is about 15 min. or so away for shopping/restaurants. We had no Verizon cell service, but our Verizon hotspot worked fine for internet. We could, however, get cell service if we went to the entrance to the park. If they had sewer hookups, I'd give it a 10. We would stay again if in the area. - Gayle E.
Sep 2013 - $16.00
Rate is America the Beautiful Senior Pass. CG is on a hill by a lake. Beautiful area. Very welcoming staff. It's about 10-12 miles off the main highway. Very quiet. Power and water good. Roads good. Sites level or level-able. A 9 rather than 10 because of no sewer. Also hard to get cell service. Didn't try over the air TV. We would definitely stop here again. - db1112
Nov 2015 - $34.00
This stay taught me to always read the reviews on a campground before going there. The recent reviews on this place were spot on: bad roads, trash, restrooms dilapidated, sites very tight, etc. How this park was rated highly by an RV club is beyond me. Won't go here again. - Bosley08
Sep 2015 - $35.00
Entrance into park up to office is terrible. Site was littered with other people's stuff.
Could barely dump.
Please don't stop here! - Ax hag
Sep 2015 - $29.00
We stayed here on our way home to SC and this was a convenient stopping point. This campground is awful. Other descriptions of a grass field are accurate. The bathhouse has 2 unisex rooms with shower, john and sink. No paper towels in 1, no toilet paper in the other. All sorts of grass clippings dragged in including the shower floor. I had to scrape it away from the drain so water could drain. My shower was a dribble of barely warm water. Their map shows all sorts of sites around lakes, but these were not offered and not visible. Swampy smell, garbage truck came in at midnight, sewer hookups awful and site next to ours gurgled when we dumped. Avoid this stop if you can....drive on! - Wyboo
