This is a mobile home park and RV park .The grounds are very well maintained and the staff were very courteous and accommodating. We made our visit during hurricane evacuation at a time when finding a campsite anywhere was impossible but they took great care of us. I will recommend this campground to anyone looking for a good quiet location close to restaurants, WalMart and the big city of Columbus, Ga. - Ron Wissinger
Feb 2016 - $60.00
This park was extremely clean with a great managing staff on site. It was very easy to contact the park and set up dates to stay. I was able to set up extended stay dates for I had work in the area. The park was very quiet and well maintained. I will be returning back if I ever have work in the Bi-city area again. - rhlake
Apr 2017 - $24.00
This is a beautiful park! We were on lot 10 - a pull through - and our lot size was bigger than most homes have. It had a huge side/back yard with a big picnic table, fire pit and grill. The yard area was wooded but cleaned out of all ground clutter and perfectly mowed. The next lot over was at least 75 feet away. Checking in at the Country Store was quick, easy and friendly. There is a locked gate to get in to the park. Water pressure is very good, WiFi was good (not excellent), but cable was .... not so much. Verizon cell signal was 4G LTE with 2 bars. We would stay here again and highly recommend it. - jomark
Mar 2017 - $24.00
You won't be able to find a nicer place to camp. The only complaint I have is the promised Wi-Fi service did not exist in the area I camped (site 410). I asked at the country store and was told they'd been having a problem and would reset the router. I was able to connect in the store but not at my campsite. Wonderful pkace for kids also. - Joe Vanderbeke
Mar 2017 - $26.00
This is a great campground. The sites are large, paved, level, and have lots of space. All hookups worked perfectly to include cable tv. There is a nearby river where campers can rent boats and fish. A swimming pool is fun for the kids. The laundry room had 3 dryers and 3 washers in good working order. My only complaint is that the wifi wasn't consistent - it kept dropping. - Melodycthomas
Apr 2017 - $20.00
We stay at this campground four or five times a year and love it. The host(s) are always very helpful and friendly. The facilities are always clean and in good order. The pads are always clean. This is our favorite place to camp. - BrentGreene
Apr 2013 - $20.00
We love this park. The park is in Central time and the office is on Eastern time, so have to pay attention when the gate is locked. We stayed by the lake but there are other sites that are good too. There's fishing and water activities and a small playground for the kids. It's well worth the trip to stay. Be sure you have groceries--it's a few miles to get to nearest food source. - jimdee
Aug 2008 - $18.00
This park is within 30 minutes from our home, and this was our first camping trip there. We came in on Thursday afternoon and there were only 6 other campers there. Our site was a fairly isolated, very shady spot. We did not stay directly on the water, but had a great view all the same. This campground is great if you are not looking for lots to do. Fishing and boating are the main attractions here. There was a small playground though the woods but otherwise, nothing else for kids to do. The hosts were very nice and helpful. We attend church nearby, and were not sure if we would make the 1:00 checkout time. We checked with the camp hosts on Sunday morning and found that our site was not reserved for that day, so we were allowed to take our time leaving. Also, we visited the campground ahead of time and rode through to find the sites we liked before making reservations. One other thing to note is that they are not set up to take credit cards, but will take personal checks as well as cash. Even though we left past the checkout time, we sat in line at the dump station for at least 30 minutes. We enjoyed our trip, and would come again for a quick weekend. - kjh
Jun 2017 - $20.00
Excellent two night stay so that we could visit the Infantry Museum at Fort Benning. Our site was sloped more than I like, but I could get within 1 degree after moving around on the site. The grounds appear to be set up for events such as weddings so the landscaping was nice. - cherib
Apr 2017 - $36.00
We stayed in site 21. Park is mostly permanent residents but their sites were neat, tidy and others were friendly. This is about the most level sites I have ever stayed in. Front to back and side to side were perfectly level. When making reservations I asked about Wi-Fi and they said yes. When checking in I asked about Wi-Fi and they said yes. At my site there was no Wi-Fi. Signal showed when I tried to log in but was unable to establish a connection. When speaking to owners they were indifferent. Their website stated that they were Passport America members but would not give the discount. Sites were staggered which placed you away from neighbors sewer but distance is so far that 2 hoses were needed. I used the 50 amp connection reduced to 30 amp because the weather was mild and we were staying one night. Voltage was barely 110 volts when AC and nothing else was running. I would stay here again but I dislike campgrounds that do not fulfill promises. The campground had huge sites but many were being narrowed to accommodate more travelers. TV is over the air with few stations. - Tigggerdad
Mar 2017 - $36.00
All hookups worked fine. Although the campground advertised wifi, it never connected. The sewer connection was at the back of the site, necessitating 3 hoses to connect. The sites were uneven gravel. The pull throughs seemed to be a little better than the back ins. Only 2 of the 3 washers and dryers were working. Sites were close together. Our site had no picnic table or fire ring. The interior roadway was deeply rutted. - Melodycthomas
Sep 2017 - $40.00
An okay campground to stay at for a night. Gravel roads and mostly level sites. Looks like the place is a work in progress. Owner very nice and escorted us to our site. A bit much to pay. It looked like all sites are full hook up. - cneeka
Jun 2017 - $40.00
We used this campground as an over night stop to Florida. The staff we extremely friendly and escorted us to our site and pointed out locations for hookups. I don't know if there was any bathroom facilities or not. There are a lot of full time residents here. Most were construction people and I assume they were working there at the campground as they are in the process of making a lot of improvements. It is just off a busy hwy and noise was a problem but we turn our air conditioner to constant fan and it drowned the noise out. This place has a lot of potential and I think will be much improved in the months to come. We stayed there on the way to and from Florida.. - Garrison Smith
Dec 2015 - $35.00
Gravel sites with red clay on top. Hookups worked great. Very friendly owner who escorted us to our site. Checks or cash only no discounts. No Wifi or cable but was able to get satellite. Only stopped for overnight not sure if we would stop again. - roaming around
Jun 2017 - $24.00
Great campground on the River. Large spaces with grill, table and lantern poll. Good layout of spaces. - Waster
Apr 2017 - $12.00
Nice looking c/g, spacious, clean, good looking lake at first appearances. Then the noise!! The lumber mill across the pond runs 24/7. Banging, equipment making noise, loading lumber trucks, etc. I would almost say it is not worth putting up with, to me it just took away from the positive of this c/g. Stay one night for yourself first, then decide to extend. - yosemitesam
Apr 2010 - $20.00
We found this lovely ACE campground by accident and it was so nice, we decided to stay 2 nights instead of one. It has just reopened after a major electrical upgrade. Check-in staff was super friendly and accommodating. We were able to select our own site from the ones available and had a hard time choosing as all sites looked inviting. Plenty of space and privacy if desired in the different loops surrounding the creeks and lakefront. Each loop has its own restroom station which includes a washer and dryer! That is a rarity and it was spotless. Plenty of room for family recreation and just watching the fishermen meandering along the riverfront in their boats was relaxing entertainment. We had no problems at this time with ants or odors from the papermill. We would definitely stay here again. - User959
Mar 2017 - $32.00
Nice spacious campsites. We stayed during a quiet time of year although there were day visitors using the mountain bike trails and fishing. The mountain bike trails were at all different levels and there was a paved bike trail just outside the park's entrance. - Hikers
Jan 2017 - $31.00
Stayed here for the sole purpose of attending an event at Auburn University, as such I doubt if we'll ever return. RV section of the park appeared to be nothing but work campers. Tents, tarps and utility trailers were on just about every occupied site. Beer cans & bottle tops strown throughout the grounds. Sites are gravel, most are unlevel and our site looks as someone dumped their tanks on the ground, toilet tissue everywhere. Although it is a locked, gated park after hours at no time did we see a ranger on patrol. - birdbrains
May 2015 - $27.00
We stayed 3 nights to visit the area.
The park is located near I-85 with easy access along good paved roads. The entrance was a little narrow. The parking area for check in had a significant slope.
The park facilities were built by the CCC. It shows in the building construction and age. The park has several day use areas including extensive BMX bicycle trails throughout the park.
The interior roads are paved but narrow. The sites are crushed gravel, generally level but lined with poles causing them to be narrow. Not many pull through sites. Some pull through sites required climbing a short but steep incline to reach the parking area. Privacy between the sites is based upon the distance and vegetation.
There was an extensive tree canopy blocking any satellite reception. Fortunately we were assigned Site 20 which had a good view to the South for satellite. Sites on either side of 20 may provide satellite reception with a portable dish.
Park map claimed there were 3 broadcast channels. Couldn't get any of them.
Our Verizon hotspot reception was good.
No designated pet area but there was sufficient distance along the park roads to walk dogs. Don't remember if there were bag dispensers around the park to pick up waste. There were garbage cans around to dispose of waste. There were dogs off leash both in the campground areas and the day use areas.
The only dumpster was near the entrance to the first campground loop.
We were invaded by little black ants!
For being in a hazardous/severe weather area, there was no underground storm shelter but the bathhouses were designated as shelters.
Would not stay here again. - bsb814
