We stayed here 9 nights. Spaces are rather level though close together. There is a cement pad next to the camper space but no picnic table. There were low hanging wires on two sides of our site. The owner helped us get into the site. We never got a map and, frankly, I have no idea what number it was. There was no gate or security and not anything to put in our vehicle to show we belonged there. But, we were located in a quiet neighborhood and never felt unsafe. The park was full, many of the sites taken by construction workers who are working on some large construction sites in the area. It was generally quiet although a train ran nearby multiple times of the day or night. This campground is very near I-10 and really is a convenient location to get to just about anywhere in Mobile Bay or beyond. Since we would leave after breakfast to explore every day and return at dinner time, it was a great base for our needs. There was one common toilet with a bathtub shower, always clean, for the whole campground but most folks used their own RVs. There was a nice and clean laundry set up, kept immaculate. The grounds were rather open and sparse although once the leaves appear on all the trees, it probably is quite nice. As for those trees, we had to thread our way out between trees when we left. Our price was a cash, Good Sam's rate. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Travel Trailer.
Anything in Mobile is 10 to 15 minutes and an easy drive.

This is an older park with a few permanent residents. It is run by the man that grew up on the property. Very nice man. This is a no frills park. The other guests did not interact much but were not rude. The location was so convenient to downtown Mobile and anywhere else that you would want to go around the Gulf Coast. We spent a month here and loved it. It had lots of trees and a lake so it reminded us more of a state park than an RV park in a city. The price was unbeatable also! We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.
Downtown Mobile has lots to offer and doesn't cost a lot. The little towns around the Gulf also had some nice qualities and character.

Stayed here overnight, easy off and on the interstate, several spots for overnight, quiet. Staff helped us park; we would definitely stay here again. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.Undo

Nice place to stay in South Mobile. Staff friendly. Rate was Good Sam rate paid with credit card rather than cash. At check-in, we were provided a key to restroom, shower and washing building, because it is locked after 7 PM. There are some permanent residents including mobile homes. This was not a problem. The facility is neat and quiet. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo

What a great find! We are staying here a month while doing some work in the area. Monthly rate is $400, which includes all utilities. Weekly rate is $150 and not sure of nightly rate. It is an older mobile home park, and there are a few here but overall it's long-term RV campers. BUT they have great pull-throughs for people wanting to stay one night. Some very shaded (#25 is the best!) and some full sun. This park is probably more suited to overnighters or someone needing to stay a while. Everyone in the park has been very nice. It's quiet. The owner is great! Very friendly, very accommodating. He rides around checking the park numerous times each day. You're allowed to have packages and mail delivered to the front office. Laundry room and bathrooms are always clean. It's a very basic park, no frills, but a great value. It's situated in a neighborhood that seems to be safe. We've had no problems. Allowed us to park our 14' enclosed trailer on site at no extra charge. Worried me at first because no list of rules were given, no special instructions, just a warm welcome. And all the residents here have been great. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $23.00
Small, mostly residential campground in a quiet neighborhood. Our gravel site was flat and roadways are adequate. Grounds appear clean. There are a few open areas for walking dogs, but no enclosed park. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.Undo

What a sweet little campground! The trees are beautiful and there is a hiking trail thru the woods to the Dog River. Everything was very quiet and nice. A great place to stay, and many thanks go to the staff for their help. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.Undo

This was a former , older mobile home park now with a few sites for campers, trailers, motorbikes, RV's, etc. Mostly full time residents in trailers. Gravel sites, paved interior road, our site across from office was pretty level, trees, good wifi ( park hear the office) and cable reception. Very friendly folks. No site map. Wide, long pull thru's and back in's . This is a bargain anf no frills camp ground for what you get..$22.00 cash, $22.88 credit card with Good SAMs. The road off of I-10 is not narrow, just a typical 2 lane subdivision road and we had no problem. Back of park is near an extension of Dog River, so high ground would be up front near the office. We were one night in a motorbike We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $22.00
Sites were well shaded although a bit close together. A few permanent and many seasonal residents. Park was very well maintained and the owner was extremely friendly and always present tending to things in the park. 10 minutes to downtown Mobile so this is an excellent base to tour the city and surrounding area. Campground Wi-Fi worked well and Verizon voice and data were excellent. We will certainly stay here again. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Travel Trailer.Undo
Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $22.00
Park was nice and quiet, easy pull through sites, nice big oaks for shade, received 23" of rain in two days, but was high and dry, no problems getting back on Expressway. Very clean, nice pet walks and neatly keep park, would stay here again. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo

A nice place to stay when sightseeing in Mobile. It was convenient to shopping and restaurants, and very easy to get to. I felt like we were in a little oasis because of all the trees. I was even able to do some bird watching on the nature trail. Our site was large and level. There is a tidy book exchange and the laundry room was spotless. We would definitely stay here again. Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $28.00
The owner is so friendly and welcoming and I would definitely stay there again because he creates a nice atmosphere for everyone. Gave me a map and a booklet on the sights of Mobile on arrival. I thought the location seemed out of the way when I arrived, but I found that it was within 30 minutes of everywhere I wanted to visit. The RV sites had everything, including individual trash bins. There was only one shower and toilet in the abolition hut, but most of the RVs there were big rigs and I seemed to be the only one using the facilities. Laundry is $1 for a machine. Sooooo reasonable. The sites are nothing special, but the atmosphere and price are good. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.Undo
Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $22.00
Rate is Good Sam. The owner was very friendly and accommodating since when we called we asked for one night and on arrival we had decided on two nights. We had to back in for the two night stay, but that was no problem since we were going to unhook the car anyway. The drive into the park was a little tight since it was down a narrow two lane street, but the RV sites had everything, including individual trash bins. There is a lake by the park, but did not see any sites on the lake. Lots of mature trees. Would stay there again considering the park is within 30 minutes of the major attractions in the area. This is a good park for a 1 or 2 night stay. Close to the Interstate. Just a few miles from the USS Alabama. There are no extra amenities like a pool, clubhouse, etc. It's just a good park if you just need a place to sleep. Good hookups, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Our lot was not very level but was plenty long. Park was clean and room to walk the dogs. Would stay here again for just an overnight. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Fifth Wheel.Undo
Date of Stay: October, 2013 - $23.00
When we got here there were no pull through sites available, but the back in was easy, gravel and fairly level. The owner is very friendly and helpful. There is WI-FI and cable and both work well. The bathroom/shower (yes-1) is clean but, we didn't use it. The park has what has to be permanent sites but most don't really look like it and those that do are very well kept. The residents we met are friendly. We were here for two nights and would return. We camped at Shady Acres Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.Undo
