Friendly staff. Good roads. Wide spaces. A little road noise. WiFi is adequate, not super fast, but decent. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

This an attractive, grassy campground with spacious level spots. The best amenities here, though, are for the dogs. And I mean that in the nicest way. There is an enormous fenced-in dog area and a walking area in grass completely around the park. I wish the fire ant mounds were less abundant though, since overall the park is very well-maintained. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wow, where to start! We stayed 2 weeks at this location, due to not many RV parks in this location. The place is very nice and the sites are well maintained and equipped. The roads that go around the sites and the park are VERY CONFUSING. If you don't abide by the directions, the Owner's SON will make sure he lets you know you went down the street the wrong way. Everyone does it. We had visitors and they did the same thing due to its confusing and the Owners SON stopped at our site and made sure we corrected it. Rules! I get Rules! but this place is a little over the top, they say Pet Friendly, and yes they have a great pet park, but don't let your dog do its business anywhere other than the park. Oh yeah NO BAGS provided, they have a nice dog park but no trash can near the dog park to put the waste. Back to rules, they have all these rules about keeping our site clean etc. They have a lot of workers staying long term in the park, well they have lockers, freezers, tires etc around the sites, but they say nothing to the long term payers, only the daily payers. The park is very nice, but the Owners go over a little overboard on the rules, I get they want it nice..I agree but how about dog bags, treat everyone with respect.. If you stay, ABIDE by the rules or you will get a visit from the owners son. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautifully landscaped with flowering trees, lawn, bushes. Very well maintained park. Sidewalk encircling large pond is great for walking. Super accommodating owner immediately rebooted the Wi-Fi router to provide a strong signal. He even let us keep some of the ice we bought from him in his freezer overnight. Nice dog park and kids playground equipment. Private restrooms with shower. Highly recommended. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Neat, clean, well kept park that's off the beaten I-65 path...but worth the few extra miles. Long wide sites complete with small (and some not so small) trees and shrubs. Satellite locked into place without a problem. All sites and interior roads are gravel, but dust wasn't a problem when we were there. But then there had been a shower or two before we arrived mid-afternoon. All sites are pull-throughs and can handle the big rigs easily. Front desk lady was friendly and cheerful. She also led us to our site and made sure we were parked for best access to power, water and sewer. We only overnighted on our way from Ponchatoula, LA to Nashville, but it appears it would be a good place for a several day stay. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We did a one night stopover, and enjoyed this park. It was extremely clean and well maintained. Quiet. Sites are extra large with concrete patios. The dog run area was huge and clean. My dogs loved playing frisbee. Bathrooms were privete. The owners were very helpful. We were here in the off season but park was mostly full. I bet it is even nicer when the crepe myrtles are in bloom. The trailers that might have been workers were neat and only noticeable by seeing folks in scrubs and some pickups with signage, unlike some campgrounds where the full timers make themselves a little too much at home and bring their mess. We will definitely stop here again. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is one of the best parks. Montgomery a very nice city to visit. People everywhere were very friendly and nice. A true representation of "southern charm". The owners of this park are most helpful, escort you to your spot, which are very long packed gravel with concrete patios. The premium spots are way longer than you need and have enough concrete that we were able to step out from our motor home onto the patio. We stayed here in a 42 foot motor home with a full size truck pulled behind and still had extra lot space. The park is ran by a father (who started the park) and son, both showed pride in their park. Small lake with paved walking trail and one of the nicest dog park we have seen. ENJOY!!! We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy in and out, good interior roads, well maintained. Widest and longest sites I have seen. Had patio and table. No chairs which is OK I have my own. FHU that worked well. Great dog park, lake and walking trail around the lake. Would stay here again if in the area. Great value for $30. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Interior roads were packed gravel and in great condition. Sites had level packed gravel pads with very good spacing and utilities placed at the back. Sites had a concrete patio with patio table, but no chairs. Owner was personable and led us right to our site. No recycle collection. Noise is low. WiFi coverage was good as was Verizon Cell coverage. This was an overnight stop for us. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stopped here for an overnight in September. Here are my notes:

- The park is neat and very well maintained. The owner is obviously very patriotic. I loved the displays of patriotism and his 'going out on a limb' by placing political signs on every street. That takes a lot of guts in this politically-correct era, and I commend him for it!

- All sites are gravel, but the gravel is expertly leveled, and there is plenty of it. This could be an even better park if he would concrete one street of sites. I would gladly pay an extra $10 a night for a 'premium site' with concrete, just to avoid messing with jack pads.

- We had a round table on our patio, but no chairs. We thought that was odd, but it didn't bother us.

- We arrived after 5 and called the number on the door. Within a couple of minutes, a lady appeared on a golf cart ready to check us in. The process was very efficient, but a word of warning: they don't appear to accept RVs after 7 P.M.

- All utilities worked fine and were at the proper location.

- They have a very nice playground, which, unfortunately, is located near the dumpster.

We enjoyed our short stay here and would not hesitate to stay again when in Montgomery. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice Good Sam park with friendly staff and wide gravel spaces and exceptionally wide gravel roads. Be careful, as the roads have speed bumps which will rock a large motorhome. There is a very large fenced dog park with seating. All parts of the park are well maintained. Free WiFi and cable. All sites have a round metal picnic table but no chairs. Verizon 4G signal was average strength. Power was running 118 in the 80-degree afternoon; very good considering all the A/C units running. Your GPS may send you to the wrong area. It is on the east side of the road at a traffic light just before you cross the river if you are going north. You don't see the park from the traffic light as it is about 1,000' east of the light. We did not see any signs announcing the park direction. Most of the rigs in the park are well maintained newer equipment; we found only one exception. We have stayed at well rated Good Sam parks that obviously were improperly rated. This park should be the standard for a very good rating across the Good Sam system. We would return here. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Clean spacious. Grass and small patio. Small patio table. Thick gravel sites. Huge dog park, but no dog baggies or doggie disposal can anywhere in the park.
