Wow what a gem 8 miles off I-85 outside Montgomery, Alabama! Very pretty park with good wide gravel roads and pads. Each site is level, exceptionally spacious length and width with a privacy short hedge, real grass, a round table (no chairs!) on a concrete pad and a flowering crape myrtle tree. Many sites have nice tall shade trees; they do not interfere with satellite access. There is a pond with walking trail, large fenced dog run and playground but no pool. Only issue was reservation process is manual and archaic - they did not allow one night reservations until just a few weeks before arrival. Once made there is no conformation number or email which made me a little uncomfortable. They wanted me to call back the day of arrival to confirm which I did! Fortunately site was available when I arrived. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Easy to get to the park. It has wide, graveled spaces with a patch of grass separating the campsites. We were escorted to our space and the staff is very friendly. I was told about several local places to shop and eat. There appear to be several long term residents, but there is a lot of space available for seasonal campers. We were on the way to Florida, so this was a great stop over. I would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

My DH and I stayed at this park in a motorhome. This is a nice park for the price. They have a fenced in area as an off leash dog park which our dog enjoyed. The site was hard gravel and level with a patch of grass in between the sites. There was also a concrete patio with a table. The showers were great because they were individual bathrooms. We also enjoyed the concrete walkway around the pond. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Nice walking trail around the lake. Pleasant "lounge" with large screen tv and the large book selection. Playground but no pool. Grounds are immaculate. Although there are obviously permanent residents, all sites are neat.

Stayed here on the way to Florida. Very nice and clean rv park. We had a pull thru site that was long enough for our 35' class A + toad. Hookups were convenient and worked as expected. Plenty of cable channels and wifi worked well. Seemed to have several long term campers, but everything was neat and orderly. Small playground for the kids and a nice fenced pet area. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is about 10 miles off I-65, but easy to navigate to as well as easy to get in to. Manager/owner was very nice and escorted us to our site. Very clean park, level gravel space, but accommodated our big rig just fine. Hook ups perfectly spaced. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed one night on our way to FL. The owner was friendly and escorted us to our site. The site was long enough for our 35' class A plus towed suv without unhooking. The playground out front was nice. The hookups were well placed and convenient. Very little leveling was needed. I65 was ten miles away but the roads leading to the park were four lane and was more like limited access roads. We didn't use the bathrooms or laundry but was satisfied. I don't know that I would like it for more than a day or two with the close proximity to other rivers, but it's great for an overnight stay. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on an overbite stop while passing through Montgomery. I liked this park's location as it avoided Montgomery traffic coming in from the east and heading out to the north. It turned out to be a good choice. Sites are pull-thru, flat, on gravel and with all hookups in excellent condition. Sites are, however, pretty close together. Bathrooms are EXCELLENT: there are 4 private suites with toilet, sink, shower, a chair and shelf. Everything spotless. There is a small pond on the site and a playground - didn't see other amenities. Cable and wifi were very good. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

This an attractive, grassy campground with spacious level spots. The best amenities here, though, are for the dogs. And I mean that in the nicest way. There is an enormous fenced-in dog area and a walking area in grass completely around the park. I wish the fire ant mounds were less abundant though, since overall the park is very well-maintained. Wow, where to start! We stayed 2 weeks at this location, due to not many RV parks in this location. The place is very nice and the sites are well maintained and equipped. The roads that go around the sites and the park are VERY CONFUSING. If you don't abide by the directions, the Owner's SON will make sure he lets you know you went down the street the wrong way. Everyone does it. We had visitors and they did the same thing due to its confusing and the Owners SON stopped at our site and made sure we corrected it. Rules! I get Rules! but this place is a little over the top, they say Pet Friendly, and yes they have a great pet park, but don't let your dog do its business anywhere other than the park. Oh yeah NO BAGS provided, they have a nice dog park but no trash can near the dog park to put the waste. Back to rules, they have all these rules about keeping our site clean etc. They have a lot of workers staying long term in the park, well they have lockers, freezers, tires etc around the sites, but they say nothing to the long term payers, only the daily payers. The park is very nice, but the Owners go over a little overboard on the rules, I get they want it nice..I agree but how about dog bags, treat everyone with respect.. If you stay, ABIDE by the rules or you will get a visit from the owners son. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beautifully landscaped with flowering trees, lawn, bushes. Very well maintained park. Sidewalk encircling large pond is great for walking. Super accommodating owner immediately rebooted the Wi-Fi router to provide a strong signal. He even let us keep some of the ice we bought from him in his freezer overnight. Nice dog park and kids playground equipment. Private restrooms with shower. Highly recommended. We camped at Capital City RV Park in a Motorhome.
