We were going to stay two nights but we had a change of plans and the owner was kind enough not to charge us a fee. The sites are pull through, which is always convenient. We are in a class C with two sides and had more than enough room. We didn't feel cramp at all. There is a beautiful pond in the back for fishing. All in all, this was a nice park to stay at. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Motorhome.

We stayed here on our way home from Central Florida. The site was clean and the service was very good. The water pressure here is 100 PSI, so be aware of your regulator before hooking up to water. They sell regulators in their store and make sure you know of the pressure. We would stay here again when in the area even though it is on a busy road. Making the turn in and out is a challenge. Overall Rating:

Simple no-frills RV Park. Sites were gravel at some point in the past, but haven't been tended or leveled in a while and are a mix grass/gravel. Sites are medium sized, fine for smaller rigs. Space in between is OK, with mowed grass lawns. Some sites have a concrete patio, our row did not. Sewer connection much higher than ground causing backup in hose. Decent cable line-up with 68 channels. Park is just off I-65 about 5 miles south of downtown. Busy road with numerous fast food joints. A little seedy in this neighborhood. In flight path for Maxwell AFB, many C-130's flying over. Best thing going for this park is it's proximity to downtown Montgomery, just over 4 miles away. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Piggly Wiggly on Court Street is a BIG PASS...run down...Nasty produce. Much better option is Winn Dixie one exit South on 65. ABC store across street from grocery. Montgomery is a clean, easy town to navigate. Not much traffic and parking pretty easy. Pretty walkable core area with many decent restaurants. Riverpark has an amphitheater for outdoor music events Did a Segway tour that was fun and informative, a little pricey $75. Tour went right thru the ball park, Alley and government buildings and also included civil rights sights. Ate at SaZa for Italian, Leks for Thai. Caught a Montgomery Biscuits game with great fireworks.

This was our 3rd time to stay at The Woods. They have high water pressure so be sure to use a REGULATOR. Very nice park convenient to the Interstate. Showers had plenty of water pressure with 3 of us at the same time. The Hot/Cold adjustment stayed set too, no fluctuation. We stayed an extra night to hang out and see some sites around town. Tips for other Campers:

Montgomery is full of History. The Hank Williams Museum, Chris' Famous Hot Dogs; suggest read the menu carefully, you might get something new on your burger or dog you never tried before. Sweet Cream Farm Market for Fresh Veggies, Jam. Buy TOE JAM; Tangerine, Orange Elderberry. Home made Breads, Pies, Cakes (KeyLime Cake was awesome), with a great little Deli and it's Kid Friendly, Animals and Farm Equipment outside. Downtown River Walk.

This was an overnight target for us on our way south on I-65. The sites are all pull through with full hook-ups including 50 amp electric. All are long enough for almost any combination of rig and toads. The grass was neatly mowed, the gravel pads firm and smooth, and the work-campers in the office very pleasant to deal with, which was true even over the telephone making our reservations. The entrance road is a bit difficult to spot until you become familiar with its location and they do have a low sign there to help one find it, but it's a busy commercial roadway with lots of distractions. Once at the office, however, it's rather peaceful and road noise is not at all an issue. We did not use any of the facilities but our daughter's family (in their own RV staying here with us) did use both the shower house and the laundry and found them to be well cared for and tidy. On our way south we had a site in the front row and it was fine but just grass between relatively close sites. On our way north we had sites in the center area near the open play field and playground. These were much wider sites with solid if smallish concrete patios properly placed so one could actually get aligned next to them and still reach the well-placed hook-ups. This is not a destination RV park but it is a very nice, well kept overnight or short stay park and we were pleased with it both times we stayed. We'd definitely return (in fact we did, staying both southbound and again northbound). We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Motorhome.

expensive bike stolen off car next to us (was locked) during the night. Not in a good neighborhood. Campground has all hookups you could need. Long level sites. Easy off I-65. Didn't use facilities so can't comment. Would use the campground again but be very careful what we put out or had attached to motorhome or car. No security gate but can walk to highway so not going to stop locals looking to steal. Lots of workers in park but in the front rows, they seem to be neat. Convenient to the interstate and to a TA truck stop and other eateries. Did not use the bath house but did look inside. The showers and toilet were OK but not spic n span. WIFI and cable were good. The pull through site was gravel and relatively level. Good for a overnight stop. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Fifth Wheel.

We pulled in right about dark. The camp host met us at the office and checked us in. He was friendly and helpful. The site was 106. It was a gravel level area with FHU including WiFi and cable. We would stay here again when needing to stop. Walking distance to Arby's and Waffle House. Easy off and on exit. We have a dually truck and 41' fifth wheel plenty of room for both on site. All spaces are pull-thru and FHU so this is big rig paradise. However the sites are uneven gravel and close. The bathroom was really smelly and the shower looked cold and uninviting. The laundry machines worked OK but the building was dirty and there was no folding counter and the machine tops had to be washed before putting clean clothes on them. There was no screen door so it was full of mosquitos. There are a few old wrecks stored on the site taking usable spaces (why?). Truck noise starts nearby early each work day. As others have noted, there is no woods. There is no dog park but ample walking area. The staff is friendly and helpful and the site is convenient in-out and for visiting Montgomery. We stayed here for one night as we traveled along I-20. Other campers had been evacuated from the Florida Panhandle in front of Hurricane Nate, so the campground was full. In spite of the name (The Woods) this is a flat, rectangular field with regularly spaced campsites. There are no "woods". The staff were wonderful, the utilities were convenient, and the gravel pads were level. The laundry had 3 washers and 3 dryers. The water pressure is very hih (they say it is about 100 psi), so be sure to bring a pressure regulator. We camped at The Woods RV Park and Campground LLC in a Motorhome.

This was just an overnight stay with a quick visit to see the Montgomery sites. Nothing fancy here, but a very spacious pull thru site with a patio (no picnic table) and a nice tree at our site (although most sites have no trees). Grassy sites with gravel parking and gravel roads. Easy in and easy out. The restrooms were spacious and clean, but bare bones. Play area for children. Cable TV and very good wi-fi.
