This was our first time staying here. We were in town for a softball tournament. The campground was very nice. The park attendees were great. They escorted us to our site. The area was great. They had plenty of room to walk the fur babies. The bathroom was very clean and safe. They have areas set up so you can grill or have a fire. It's a small park, but I would stay here again and I would recommend to others. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Travel Trailer.

An overnight stay. Easy access from the highway. The host escorted us to our site and even dusted the picnic table and utility post for the pollen. The central part of the campground was very nice with nice areas to walk the dog. There were 'long stay' sites but they were located farther away from the central part of the campground. Pool was still closed for the season. Cable TV was clear with sufficient channels. Site was level with easy access. We were called the day before arrival to check on our need. Excellent service. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

Passing through from Red Bay down to central Florida, we stayed 3 nights at this KOA. Park was well kept and had nice ambiance. The staff was very attentive. We have a 45 ft Motorhome and agreed before we arrived, to take a smaller site so another Class A that had a trailer/didn't want to disconnect, could have one the few longer pull through sites. Our site was long enough for our RV but we had to park our toad somewhat sideways in front. Still hung out a bit. Good news was our site had clear satellite reception. Probably would not if we had the original site. Quiet park during the week. Long timers appear to be in another section on other side of park. Large dog park. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

Located about 4-miles west of Ozark, AL on US 231, the Ozark/Ft. Rucker KOA is a very nice looking and well cared for park. It is a mix of travelers and seasonal campers. As far as I could determine all campsites are full hookups including cable and WiFi. Sites are solid surface and range from no shade to some shade to full shade but most of the traveler sites are no-shade to some shade. The check-in staff was very friendly and about the only negative I had was regarding getting a space that was satellite friendly. We called ahead to check availability and were assured that we should have no trouble "seeing" the sky. After being escorted to our site it did appear that might be the case but we ultimately could not lock onto the satellites. We use DISH and have an automatic satellite dish on the roof of the motor home. If we had a portable antenna I'm confident we could've acquired at least one satellite. The cable system is adequate with the usual mix of channels but we found the picture itself a bit fuzzy. Over-the-air reception was spotty but we have a King Jack OTA antenna that cannot be raised. The wifi was OK but we opted to use our Verizon hotspot instead. The interior roads are a bit narrow but we're roughly 60' long with the toad and navigated them easily. The park is pet friendly and provides a very nice, fenced dog run. Road noise is minimal to non-existent. We've stayed here many times over the years and will absolutely stay here again. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

WalMart and other shopping are located 4-miles east of the park off US231.

Fort Rucker, home of Army Aviation is nearby and we were treated to several Army helicopter fly-overs.

KOA 10% discount for two nights. The site was a pull-through, level concrete pad with FHU and 50 amp. We had good Verizon cell and MiFi reception and good satellite reception. The park's WiFi worked well. They advised us to use a pressure regulator because the park water pressure is 95 psi. The park staff also warned us of sugar ants and came by daily to spray. Nightly trains came by and blew their horns and that was a bit disturbing. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

The second time we've stayed here. Very clean, paved roads, swimming pool, shade, dog run, good cable and WiFi, and mostly level paved sites. We stayed at six KOAs the past 3+ months and this is by far the best as well as most reasonable. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

A convenient stop along Rt 231. We stayed a few days conducting family business. The grounds and pool are all well kept. Plenty of places to walk the dog. Lee's China Buffet on 231 south was a great dinner spot. I was given a site just long enough for my truck and trailer. It was open to the sun and the RV baked all day. There were many long shaded sites available and they were empty. I should have said something and been moved. Or management might think to put RVs in the shade. My a/c would certainly use a lot less electricity and lower the campgrounds electric bill. I'm not a KOA fan to begin with and this hasn't helped. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Travel Trailer.

This is a beautiful smaller park. The sites are concrete and are well spaced. There is nice grass, a water feature and paved roads. There is one section where four families could camp in a circle--would be great for a get together. The only downside is that it is difficult to get satellite. They do offer good cable, however. The staff is lovely and very accommodating. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

Very good stop on 231 going to or from FL. Lots of pull thru's. Very clean and pretty campground. Nice pond. Would give a 10 if sites were wider.

The concrete pads are nearby to one another with a sunny, open exposure and a patio with a picnic table. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

Another nice KOA with great folks in the office. The park has a few garden walks and a nice dog run. There are a number of long-term residents but they are in their own corner of the park. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

Not long after we were hooked up, a gal from the office came around spraying our sites for ants. So they are sensitive to a particular pest problem. We stayed just overnight, as we have before, and found the park and the staff above average. Definitely would return. The campsites are concrete, spacious and staff will guide you in. The campground has a nice pool with plenty of space to sit to watch the children. There is a well stocked store in the registration office, and also plenty of shopping about 4 miles south on Rte 231. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

We were only here one night. The campground itself was satisfactory, but we woke to discover ants all over the inside of the RV. Three days later we are still trying to get rid of them. In all of our RVing, we have never had this problem before. Unlike one of the other reviewers, we were not warned and no precautions were offered. If you plan to camp here, suggest you use ant precautions. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Motorhome.

The site I booked on KOA's web page said, "These sites are 70' to 75' long..." When I got there, they assigned me to a site that was 55' long. I looked around and saw longer sites available. I booked the longer site because I park my tow car behind my rig and everything fits if I get what I book. I met the owner and she said their booking system has no way to tell what size site you booked. Well that's not the customer's problem. The worker who escorted me to the site on Day 1 said I could squeeze my car behind the rig. On Day 2, a different worker said I needed to park my car elsewhere. I'm not a complainer and it's my fault that I accepted the shorter site. However, I shouldn't need to complain to get what I booked! Beyond just the short site, they park you awning close to your neighbor. My neighbor's pedestal was 6' from my front door and their sewage hose was 5' feet from my picnic table. Yuch. Wifi & cable TV worked fine. Both Verizon & ATT had good signals. Were it not for the site snafu, I would rank them a 5 (average) due to tight spacing between rigs. We camped at Ozark / Fort Rucker KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
