5 Parks near Robertsdale, Alabama
Jan 2016 - $30.00
PROS-Picked the park based on others reviews. Nice park out of the way and quiet. Large grass sites, might be muddy if it was wet, some had concrete pads, not ours. Park is clean and they will pick up your propane tank at your site fill it and bring it back. Free Wi-Fi, nice walking trails
CONS-Listed as a Passport America Park, but will not allow discount in the winter months. No cable, but we could get 7 air channels. No shade.
WOULD WE STAY HERE AGAIN? Yes, but not long term, we were here four nights.
We stayed here in a 36 foot fifth wheel. - Traveler II
Nov 2015 - $16.00
The rate is $16 per night at the PA discounted price, but the park is worth all of the $34 per night full price.
We contacted the park on the way down I-10 and made a reservation. They asked us to call once we got off the highway, we did and they met us at the gate with a golf cart and promptly escorted us to our site, we set up and then went to the office to check in. A very nice lady checked us in and they did want to see our PA card. Plenty of space for big rigs and very easy in and out. At least 40' x 100' pull thru sites.
The campground itself is wide open, level grass sites a few with concrete pads, with gravel roads, all lined up I get the sat dish signal so I am happy, the power and services are all very good.
This park is full of snow birds and does not have full timers except for the winter. The sites are spacious. For a lot of folks this is a winter destination, for ourselves it a very good 2 days stop. - Camping USA
Oct 2015 - $17.00
Rate reflects PA. Very accommodating with a long pull through, level site. Asked us to call as we exited I-10. When we called, they gave us great directions into their CG and met us at the entrance to guide us to our site. Very nice workampers/management.
Appearance of CG very nice. We stayed 1 night and would return for a longer stay in the future. - D Curf
Jan 2016 - $20.00
This park is convenient to Interstate 10 with easy access. The narrow paved entry road is also exit so becomes crowded. However, staff are immediately available to escort to site before registration is complete which helps to reduce congestion. Our site was a pull thru which are evidently kept for overnighters. Site was gravel with grass and table. All utilities were strong and will definitely return for another overnight. Many snowbirds and would definitely recommend reservations as overnight spots are limited. - RJourney
Oct 2015 - $23.00
This is a great easy in and out stayover. Have stayed several times this year. I am amused with the passport America people who think they are getting such a big discount. As you see they are only getting about 2.00 off the regular rate. Pleasant people nice and clean. No cable tv, No pool just a good place to spend the night. - mrbbb
Sep 2015 - $20.00
We camp here on our way west on vacations. This made our 8th time camping at Hilltop. The staff is always friendly and helpful. - Ralph_ Mary
Nov 2015 - $35.00
No discount on the rate. No manager or staff on site so we just left our payment at the door. Site was a FHU, 50 amp, level, pull-thru, concrete site. Park entrance is a narrow, one-lane road. Good Verizon cell/MiFi reception. Good satellite reception. The park was quiet at night. - Dave51
Mar 2015 - $25.00
Stayed here a week, very friendly & accommodating to our needs. Was not a problem to have our motorcycle either, which made us very happy. The park was kept up nicely. No pool or trails for activities but quiet & friendly. Would be a perfect spot in the winter I think since it's surrounded by trees yet open & sunny. A bit warm for March maybe (83 in the shade) but that's just me. - Lisanator
Feb 2014 - $10.00
Small but very nice campground right on the Styx river. Nice concrete pads. Very quiet CG. Our rate indicates an RPI membership. Just here for 2 nights but would spend more time here in the future. - Sharlou
Apr 2015 - $25.00
Me and my wife enjoy staying here. We always have fun here and enjoy the outdoor environment. It's located right next to a river so the water is nice and cold. They also have 2 pools, one inside and one outside, plus a lot of other things to do like basketball courts, volleyball, playground, fitness room, fishing on lake, horseshoe pits, big outdoor covered outdoor gazebo area where they have karaoke on weekends and TV's for football/NASCAR. The only negative I have is it needs some fixing up and sites need leveling out better. - Bama72
Aug 2014 - $14.00
The rate is Coast to Coast which includes $4/nt for 50 amps. This is a membership park and mostly well maintained. There is not much to do in the area. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are nice. The negative of this park is that the interior roads need maintenance. They are narrow and lots of ruts and bumps. Also the map of the campground didn't match the directional orientation of the sites, however, they do escort you to the site which is very helpful. The Internet is very unreliable, which is another negative. They have a lot of activities, especially if you there on a weekend. - JGockel
Apr 2014 - $1.00
This campground is part of Ocean Canyon where we have a membership, so our stay was paid for through our membership. Not really free. Interior roads are rough asphalt, very narrow with curbs to control water run-off. Sites are hard-packed sand. Very little grass and the clubhouse and restrooms are old and in need of maintenance. Wireless Internet was available, but unreliable. Frequent server resets made accessing the Internet frustrating. We will not return. - waywardwind
Jun 2014 - $16.00
PPA Rate of $16. Very rural and quiet. Quite a number of full-timers. Site was not level, very slanted, no gravel just dirt. iFi was non-existent. - OurRVLife
Mar 2013 - $9.00
This is an older park but very well kept up. A little bumpy getting in but the sites were all level. Would stay there again. - Mommac
Mar 2012 - $10.00
Nice park, sites a bit too close for my liking, has a rustic feel. Owners seemed friendly. Price reflects CC. Would stay here again. - JBu
