Spent one night on the way home. Park is clean, good services, no cable, but good satellite reception and over the air. Close to Robertsdale and Walmart and restaurants. Rate is Passport America. Ongoing work to enlarge the park. Plenty of shade. Will return for a week in July. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We were assigned site 130 but upon arrival, were placed on site 113. Office was closed at 2:00pm and we did not know what to do. A camper helped us locate a host who directed us. Sites are large and deep but a little intimidating to back into due to narrow road and tight turn. Overall, a great park. Quiet, serene, clean with great landscaping. Perfect location only 2 miles from Baldwin Beach Express. Will stay here again. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The person meeting us upon arrival was friendly and welcoming. The grounds were well kept and the sites were level. Other than that, all the facilities mentioned on the website were non-existent. There were no amenities. There was no picnic table nor fire pit. The shower and bathroom had decent fixtures but were not clean, especially the floor. We would not return. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very quiet park, with large sites and all concrete drives and sites. This is our second visit to this park and would choose to stay here whenever we are in the area. There is easy access to the areas around Foley and Gulf Shores, AL. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Excellent WiFi now. Office not staffed full time, but custodian answers phone. This park is about 20 miles from the beaches. It's quiet and peaceful as well as roomy with trees and grass. Neighbors mostly long term and friendly and look out for each other. Concrete interior roads.

This is a wonderful park. Roads and pads are concrete. There is a nice little clubhouse with a pool table, library and kitchen facilities. Everything is spotless. Pads are far apart with many trees. Very quiet area with the exception that the navy is using a local remote field to practise touch and go landings. Fun to watch them hot dogging around in trainers. Managers are very friendly and helpful. it's about 20 min. to local town of Foley which has every store imaginable and about 30 mins. to Gulf Shores. Tips for other Campers:

There is a museum in the old Foley railroad depot with a large O gauge railroad layout as well as a small collection of full sized boxcars and a locomotive. Eat at the Gift Horse restaurant on Rt 98 or at the Foley Coffee Shop (serves full meals) across 59 from the depot. Next door there is an art galley located in the oldest building in town that was a real estate office.

We stayed here for three nights waiting out a storm that was moving through the area. We wanted an RV park that had concrete sites, not gravel or sand. This was the determining factor given the amount of rain that was predicted during our travels. The park is easy to access off of I-10 at exit 49, and south for eight miles on a newly upgraded 4-lane highway. The park is two miles east of that highway on hwy 38. The two miles to the park is on a very narrow road. As long as there is no traffic it is fine. If you were to meet another larger vehicle it could be tight. The park is all concrete sites and roads. The services were adequate with water pressure at 80 psi. The sites are plenty long enough to accommodate any length rig. They are all back ins. There are no pull throughs. The women who worked at the office was very helpful, both when we called ahead and during our stay. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

This is our fourth visit to this park. Although some improvements have had to be put on hold, this park is still a "hidden gem". If you are looking for peace and quiet with friendly people, this is the place to be. The internet has recently been upgraded and is the best we've had in many months of travel. Rate quoted is based on monthly rate. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You are so close to everything and with the Baldwin Beach Expressway now completed, it is a quick trip to the beach (and not so much traffic as on 59). You are very close (5 mi.) to Wal-Mart. No traffic noise and easy access to a multitude of restaurants and shopping facilities.

Most of the shortcomings that had existed have been eliminated by the new resident manager who answers the phone and is present almost all the time. He is exceptionally helpful and motivated. This has always been one of the most pleasing physical campgrounds with lots of room, established sod everywhere, level concrete pads and streets, excellent hookups, and a choice of shady or open sites. The WiFi has been improved and upgraded, so that it now works; it's good, not great. Propane is available. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park and were impressed by the cleanliness. Unfortunately there are a couple of negatives. One is a barking dog that would literally bark all day. Secondly, we had to give a $100 deposit to hold our campsite and this was not credited towards our lot rent, but was held for 2 months after we left. I had to make multiple calls to even get the $100. Additionally, we had our 5th wheel for sale while there and the owners assured us that we would get a prorated refund of the time we did not spend there, should the RV sell. Now she absolutely refuses to refund me the $180 - $200 she told us we would get back! Although the park advertises wifi, we could not get it unless we walked over by the club house. It appears to be an outdated modem. The campsites are beautiful and besides the dog, they are very quiet. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice in that it is away from the hubbub of Gulf Shores. If you can get on the west side of the park, you will be away from the barking dog. Bring your own wifi. Don't leave the park with them owing you any money.

Overall Rating:

In order for our RV club to reserve sites for our rally at Emmaus our group was required to pay in full with NO refund available if unable to attend. The reason given by the owner; "we are expecting snow bird travelers". When the hopeful snowbird guests did not come; the park host asked our club to notify our club members previously turned away but it was to late.

Issues our club experienced:

(1) the clubhouse is small, our group of 26 was very crowded.

(2) Adjacent to the park is a parcel of farm land where hunting dogs are housed. They bark continuously.

(3) The Wi-Fi was not available when we arrived Thursday afternoon.

This RV park has been removed from our list. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is an exceptionally nice park that has concrete roads and pads with lots of trees and wide spaces in a park-like setting. It's not like most campgrounds which are lined up in a row, close together. Verizon cell worked great. The park's Wi-Fi was Ok; the owner's has plans to upgrade it. We planned to stay for 6 weeks and ended up staying 3 1/2 months and plan to return next winter. This park is so quiet and peaceful, we really didn't want to leave at all. It's a short drive to Foley or Fairhope where there are lots of stores and restaurants. It's a new park with one section done and two sections to be finished. This park is a work in progress that is very nice now and will be great when done. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

I must say the previous post almost scared us away from this gem in the country. Yes, I will agree the person answering the phone needs to keep it on their person but she was very friendly and helpful and accurate with directions to the park. This resort once the new expressway gets finished will be very convenient. The park is immaculately kept. Sites are spacious and all utilities are up to par. If they proceed with future planning this will be an exceptional resort. As for fire rings and picnic tables I believe it would take away from the looks. I would definitely come back for a longer stay. The rate reflects a Passport America and Good Sam discount. Overall Rating:

This is by no means a resort. No picnic tables, no fire rings, no pool, no playground, no specified dog area, and the biggest no is there is no one in the office. I should also note that the paved cement road and pads are a bit tight and should have been made wider. When we arrived other campers came out to help. I was waiting for something in the mail and had to rely on another camper to get the package for me. Other reviews here are 10's because, in talking to folks, the snowbirds just put up with the inconveniences because the park has a nice feel, and other RV'ers are pretty friendly, and they don't want to make it sound bad. The owners live about half a mile down the road. The woman who takes your reservation came into the office twice while here for about 2 hours during our week's stay. We will not come back, and others have told me the same. The park has potential but needs to be fixed up properly, and again the office needs to be staffed. We used Passport America for our average weekly rate. We camped at Emmaus Motor Coach and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
