Very nice place and well kept as far as state campgrounds go. First come First serve only. The 9 mile road in is hilly, curvy, and narrow, which takes about 15-17 minutes to drive. Once there, it is a...

Tip for Other Campers:
There is a shop about 1/4 mile from the entrance that sells ice cream. Palmer is a nice built up town for supplies/dinner/etc. Within about a 25 minute drive.

- BakerLife Head on over to Edgar Evins Park and eat at the Marina restaurant either inside with A/C or outside under canopy while watching the turtles and ducks. If you are bringing your fur baby, please be aware the walking platform gets pretty hot during sunny days. The trails at the park are great as well, so check them out as well as the park office for some history lessons and swag.2 months ago Long Branch

Tip for Other Campers:
The Lakeside Trail is a 13-mile gravel road on the north side of the lake, great for biking. The Twin Peaks Trail heads to a pass or peak and provides for nice views of the lake. Boating is allowed on the lake canoes, kayaks, electric motors only. There's a kayak/bike rental vendor near the lake. Check the website for ATV/non-ATV days.
