Typical private RV Park through Alaska. Sites close. Not a lot of vegetation. Friendly personnel. About 7 miles from entrance to Denali. A combination of state or federal parks would be good combination to see the state and save money. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Travel Trailer.

This was the only RV park that had availability and it wasn't our first choice, because it is a little further from the park entrance. But, we are so happy that we stayed here! If you want hook ups or you are unable to get into the park campgrounds, this is the best place! The sites are roomy and have bushes and trees, and a great view. It is only about 8 miles from the visitor center at Denali NP. The people who checked us in were extremely friendly and helpful. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We took the Eilson visitor center guided bus tour. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. The visitor center has a great exhibit. We also had a great presentation at the science center. The shops in town are fun to visit, with a lot of authentic Alaskan art. The 49th State Brewery in nearby Healy is a great place to visit - great beer and food!

Short narrow back in sites. Sites arranged on a slope up against a mountain. Better than the parking lot places. Some grass and picnic tables. Loud road noise in our site. One trail to explore. A bit pricey. Nice gift shop with accommodating staff. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Fifth Wheel.

Denali RV Park and Motel We stayed here for 5 nights, $48 Per nt. when I first arrived I was a bit disappointed ,due mostly to the very small size of the sites, 18' wide and with a small line of shrub trees between, not enough room for your picnic table on the site unless you want to try to squeeze it in between sites and over the sewer dump pipe of your neighbor. not enough room to put our your awnings, no fire pits, the sites are way to small to allow for that, all sites are about the same, we have a 43' RV just fit into the site, the car parked in front on the roadway On the plus side the folks here were very friendly, It was mostly quite except for some road noise, it is about 7 miles to the park and it does have the sewer service connections at the sites. we visited the Rainbow and Grizzly RV parks in the area and the Denial RV and Motel is definitely the best of the three. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

While this park does not have lots of frills, what it does have is peace and quiet and great service from the attendants (and laundry). Sites are basic gravel with picnic tables - many have shrubbery screening though. Some (like ours) have views across the valley which was nice. In comparison to the other opportunity in Denali village, this place is the Ritz. A big deal for us is that for $15, they will walk your dog twice while you are out for the day on those long Denali Park bus rides. Our site was really nice along the back edge facing a hedge which gave it nice privacy. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We found the most special part of mountain viewing was in the evening. That seemed to be when the clouds cleared the most - and of course, the sun practically never sets.

This was a very basic campground but the close proximity to Denali made it worthwhile. There are gravel roads and sites with no grass anywhere. As noted by other reviews, the sites are very tight with shrubs between that make it even tighter. Our neighbor had their picnic table in the shrubs which made our site even narrower. Also pretty short sites so our truck was parked along the side right next to our 5th wheel. We couldn't use our satellite (mountains in the way), but they provide free cable with 12 channels. The free WiFi was also fine. The road noise was distracting, but did quiet down after about 10pm. We thought the price was high for the quality of the park. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Fifth Wheel.

The location and service make this a very good place to stay while visiting Denali. The sites are close but everything worked well. Staff will walk dogs while to take the Denali tour (which is an all day excursion). We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Easy to maneuver through the rows. We had a back-in site with room for our Jeep beside it. Stone and dirt sites. There are trees and bushes which makes it nice. Ours was level and easy to get into. Friendly staff. About 10 miles from the Denali entrance but away from the busy atmosphere around the little town there. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Rose's Cafe is an excellent restaurant. When we got there for breakfast the lot was full (a testament to the quality of the food) and we had to wait for a table. But our breakfast was excellent. We ate a dinner there late with another couple and we all enjoyed the meal. Very friendly, hands-on owner and chef who own and work there.

This is a good RV park located 10 miles from Denali. Sites are gravel and vary from small Class C to Big Rig size. Ours was 55' long and barely 14' wide with about 6' between your unit's slideout and your neighbor's. The pull thrus are easy in/out and some of the back-ins are easy. Some are a little tight depending on rig size and where others have parked. They have cable TV that works which is good since you won't likely get satellite this far north. Park wifi worked okay. They will walk your dog for a fee while you take a long Denali bus trip. Verizon had a strong 4-bar LTE signal. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Gas & diesel are expensive around here. There's only 1 diesel station a few miles north. Fill up before you get to the park area.

We stayed here twice last summer. (I forgot to review so I'm doing so now.)

As others have said, this is an adequate place for a couple of nights. The back in sites are tight for a 28' tt. It was always packed, and the road construction (with pilot car) got a little old. We'll plan better next year and reserve a spot IN Denali. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Travel Trailer.

Rate shown for a 30 amp back-in site. Office staff fast and efficient. Park roads and sites are gravel. Our site was a not very level back-in. It would take at most a 30 foot RV. Most of the sites had tables, except ours. All utilities worked fine. Cable TV had 12 channels. Some channels were fuzzy and a few off the air at times. Wi-Fi was good enough to download pictures to the internet. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

This park is about 12 miles north of the entrance to Denali NP and about a 15 minute drive without construction. We were here when they were working on the road so it took a little longer but if you're coming this way they have started to pave the construction area and it should not be a big deal. RV park is OK. Quiet with full hookups, wifi, and cable. Wifi worked well as did cable. We stayed here for 4 nights in a motorhome and would stay here again. Denali NP is wonderful. We took the 11 hour bus trip and although it was a long day it was wonderful. Our bus driver/guide was very informative and made the day enjoyable. If you're interested in learning to fly fish the Denali Fly Fishing Guides Company is very good.

Best campground to stay when at Denali NP. Fairly level 30/50 amp pull thru and back in gravel F/H/U sites. Big rigs fit fine but sites are very close. Store and laundry. Many nice hiking trails. Would stay here again. Very Friendly people. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.

Unlevel spots, not very well maintained. Constant traffic and excessive noise. Spots are very tight and not most have no picnic tables. Seem to only care about how many outfits they can pack into RV park. Would never stay here again. Staff was very friendly and helpful is the only positive experience. Road construction right outside your door. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Travel Trailer.

Yes, it is close to Denali but they are working on the road south of and it is a total mess. There are very friendly people working here. The sites are not all that level. The 30 Amp power is low for a all electric RV. The water pressure is good. But for this price I should be able to have a shower you did not have to pay for. The WiFi is great. Cable TV is fair and only 12 channels. All gravel spots and roads getting into. I will skip this place if I come this way again. We camped at Denali RV Park & Motel (Privately Owned) in a Motorhome.
