1 Park near Eagle River, Alaska
Jul 2015 - $20.00
Dry camping on paved and level sites, well separated from each other. Trees provide some shade. There are pit toilets and water spigots. Dump station is on the way out, fee is 5$ no matter if you stay in the campground or not.
The location is pretty close to the highway so traffic noise is well noticeable but not too bad. However, we choose a site in the back, close to the creek so the water splashes covered the highway noise anyway.
As mentioned in other reviews there is a Fred Meyer just around the corner. Eagle River made a good base camp for us to explore Anchorage and we will come back. - TheSchweitzers

Very pretty campground on the river. Paved sites & interior roads. Dump station with potable water fill. Excellent Verizon signal. - mockturtle

Nice state park with paved roads and sites. Camp sites are very large and offer privacy. This park is 15 minutes from about anywhere in Anchorage. Park was well maintained with a dump station and fresh water available. - illini777
