While, the site is clean and safe, it is nothing more than a downward sloping gravel parking lot. Leveling a coach is impossible without numerous wood blocks, probably more than most RVers would carry. I'm taking feet not inches. Fifth wheels and trailers might be fine, but forget a Class A or C. We camped at Alyeska Resort in a Motorhome.

We won't complain about paying 10$ for a safe and legal place easily accessible on paved roads to spend the night. Yes, it is nothing more than a parking lot and has no amenities whatsoever. But you get away from the very busy highway along Turnagain Arm. The registration process is a little awkward. The 'sites' are located in the front part of the lot and marked with numbers. There is a box where you stuff the money into a slot corresponding with the number of your site. Well, we paid for a random number and stayed somewhere in the far back of the lot. Don't be surprised by some traffic on the parking lot as locals use it as a shortcut. Very quiet during the night though. We camped at Alyeska Resort in a Truck Camper.

This is nothing but a parking lot for a ski resort, but they do allow overnights during the summer. It used to be free (and some camping books state that it is), but sometime in 2010 they began charging $10 a night, with a maximum stay of 5 nights. Normally we try to spend money in places that let us boon dock for free, so we had planned to have a nice dinner in their restaurant and maybe take the tram to the top of the mountain. Instead we paid them $10, period. We won't come back here. We camped at Alyeska Resort in a Motorhome.
