We have spent a week in this campground. We found it to be the nicest, cleanest campground we have seen since leaving the Lower 48. The restrooms and showers are combined, private rooms, and they are very clean and the owner works very hard to make this the best campground in the area. The sites are grass with gravel drives between rows. There are no trees, but the grounds are surrounded by trees, and the mountain views are fantastic. There are full hookup sites, sites with electricity and water, sites with only electricity and numerous tent sites. There are pull-through sites and back-ins. We will definitely return to this campground if we are in the area. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park off the beaten path. Being outside of "downtown" Palmer, it is very peaceful and quiet. The owner was very helpful and it is clear he takes pride in his facility. Our grass site was quite level. Utilities were good overall. WiFi was very slow, but usable early in the morning. We were in a back-in site which was fairly close. Our view was totally blocked by the camper next door, but we had plenty of room to deploy our awning. Power water and sewer were at the back end of the site, but I'm in the habit of carrying additional hose and cord for just these kinds of situations. All in all this is a nice park. We would stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rate shown includes charge for 1 extra person. Site was a gravel pull-through and not level. Grass between the sites. One area near the road had all grass sites. Table was at site. No fire rings, but there was a big one near the office. All pull-throughs past the office were on a upward slope. All utilities worked fine. No cable TV, but around 10 channels off the air. Wi-Fi was very weak and slow. Bathrooms and laundry were clean, but dated and worn. I would consider another park next time if in the area. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park off the beaten path. Pull through was pretty level and the people were very nice. Has nice mountain views and even saw a mother and baby moose near the entrance. Not to hard to find and not very far from town which all the services you could want. Easy to get in to your site and into the park. Very quiet at night. Would stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

We found Mountain View RV Park at the right time on our long journey around Alaska; when we wanted a break from the hustle and bustle of driving everywhere, seeing everything with everyone. Mt. View is off the main road and is very quiet. Being able to sit back and listen to the winds blow through the trees while watching clouds cross the sky with mountains in the view is what I like.

Most of the season you get to pick your site, if you play your cards right you could end up with an empty lot next to you! Otherwise, yes, lots are close together, but then most of the folks we've seen come through are using this as a 1 night stop before pushing on the next day.

Roadways are gravel but sites are grass/gravel. Because the property is at the base of the mountains, there is a slope through the campground. Some sites might experience more of an issue than others, or because of popularity with overnighters, some sites have deeper wear grooves from tires so you may need to use a block to level.

One reason we chose Mt View was they offered Free showers. The bathrooms here are en suites - toilet, sink and shower in each room. Lots of Hot Water and good water pressure in the showers.

Most sites are FHU 30amp pull thru - permanent campers are in the back ins. Free WiFi - antenna is in main building so it doesn't reach to all areas of campground. Also if lots of people are using WiFi, it slows down. We were able to get good signal for our Verizon hotspot.

If you want to get the better views of the mountains, choose a campsite down closer to the office, but if you want fewer neighbors, take a site near the top of the hill on the far path. And if someone parks their rig next to yours and blocks you view of the mountain through the window, take your chair outside to enjoy.

Campground brochure says no a/c or heaters, but no one came by to tell us not to use our a/c on the hot days we were here - nor did they tell anyone else not to. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Truck Camper.

I went here because I read some good reviews online and a lot of bad ones but I never could have imagined what it was like! The owner was the rudest, most disgusting drunk I have ever met! He was loud and obnoxious and the facilities were filthy! Wreaked of feces and urine even in the laundry room! I didn't even stay, I had to get away from that horrible man; if you can call him that and away from the terrible facilities! I will not recommend anyone stay here. I found that a different campground near by was wonderful and clean will stay there again when I come back to Alaska next year! We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mountain View is a pleasant, friendly park. The mountain view is indeed beautiful. The sites are fairly level on packed gravel. There's plenty of maneuvering room for big rigs - easy in and easy out. The managers are very friendly and laid back. We chose our own sites both times we were there. The Wi-Fi worked well and we had cell phone coverage but no satellite. I gave them a 9 instead of a 10 as there are a few areas in the park that could use some cleaning up. Otherwise a terrific place to stay for a couple of days with a large Fred Meyer grocery and some really good restaurants a few miles away. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a typical Alaska RV park with sites very close together and 30 amp electric. We did not find the owner to be that friendly. We did not use the laundry or bathhouse so cannot comment on price/condition. Verizon cell/MiFi worked adequately. Good Sam discount was available. Nothing really wrong with this campground but nothing great either. We would look for someplace else to stay if we we're in the area again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great RV park. We have a 40 rig with a long-bed truck. We fit in the pull-through site nicely. The view of the mountain is awesome. The folks that run the park try very hard to make sure your stay is great. They are available all the time to help you plan an adventure or recommend sightseeing and activities. We even extended our stay because we felt right at home with the owners of this park. Close to town - owners on site - safe and convenient. You can not go wrong at this park. This is an open gravel/grass lot (which means not pretty but fewer mosquitoes). Mountain view from the entrance only, sites face the permanents or the woods. Owner lets you pick your spot. Most go to the pull-throughs in the center, but we think the back-in spots right across from the office are nicer. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We chose this RV park based on other reviews, and they are right on. This is a very nice park, with gorgeous mountain views. There are no trees in the park, just gravel and grass, but the park is well maintained. The staff are extremely friendly, and it's next to a wooded area (that does not belong to the park) so it has a lovely rural feel. There's a Fred Meyer 5 minutes away; very handy for shopping or if you need fuel. The sites are not very level, primarily because the land the park is on slopes, so be sure you have boards or blocks to put under your jacks and/or wheels - you'll need them. We stayed 3 nights here and drove into Anchorage (about 40 miles away) to the museums and other local attractions. Anchorage apparently has no decent RV parks, so driving from Palmer was preferable for us. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park, small lots. Wouldn't have been able to put awning out if we wanted to. Plenty good enough for a few day stay. Mountains all around, but we couldn't see them from where are RV was parked. AT&T air card worked from here for Internet. We parked here in a 38' 5th wheel, with 4 slides. It's better than most parks in Alaska. We'd stay here again. The mountain view is spectacular. Sites are easy to get in to. Everyone seems organized. Spotty WiFi (but that seems to be the deal in all the AK parks we've been to). We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

There are two sections to the RV park. The part in front is a large grass field with two rows of back-in sites where the RV's are back-to-back. The hook-ups in this area are all along the line between the rows, meaning that for us, we needed an extra sewer hose section since the sewer connection was at the very rear. The second section in the rear of the park also has grass between the sites, but there are gravel roads between rows. We liked the open field because it meant fewer mosquitoes. The WiFi was good for us. The laundry facilities were very clean and they had 5 washing machines and 8 dryers. We would definitely stay here again. The park has great views and a mountain hike just up the road from the park. There was a moose calf kill by a bear on the trail when we were here. It was removed but grizzlies always come back to their kills so we stayed off this trail. The showers are ok but you get a lot of hot and cold water if others are using the facilities also. There are 7 separate rooms with a toilet and shower in each, which is a nice touch. The owners smoke a lot so the smoke drifts from their garage attached to the showers which isn't good if you do not like to breathe others smoke. The sites are too close together as are all the campgrounds in Alaska and Canada that we have been to. The washers and dryers are a little old with $2 wash and $1.25 to dry. If you do not over fill the dryer it will dry with one cycle. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.
