This is a newly opened campground. All RV sites have 30/50A power, water and sewer, but are priced according to amenities desired. The laundry room has 2 pair of new washers/dryers. There is no charge if staying 2 or more nights. They have a modest library of DVDs to sign out. The campground is on a quiet road outside of town in a farming area that might be in Iowa except for the snow capped mountains on 3 sides. It is lined up with the runway of a small airport and during the day there is some single engine plane traffic but it all stops in the evening. They have a large common fire pit with firewood and tables and a gas grille for guest use. Sewer caps are new and a bit stiff to pull off the pipe. They are painted orange as they sit flush with the ground and may be hard to spot otherwise. A unique feature is the entire campground is lawn grass. They may rethink this and put gravel in for the parking pads as the grass gets mushy when they get a significant rain. WiFi worked quite well. There are plans to add pull through sites in the adjacent parcel of land. The present back-in sites are 25' wide and about 75' deep. There is a separate lawn area for tent sites. The prices are competitive with others in the area. All services worked properly. We will likely come back here if in the area again. We camped at Paradise Alaska RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Near the state fairgrounds. Palmer has a new Fred Meyer store. The Noisy Goose was a good place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Their pies were great. Often there was a short wait to get a table as it is a very popular restaurant. We tried other restaurants in town but came back here several times during our stay. Hatcher Pass was a short drive out of town and easily accessible.

Overall Rating:

This is a great little RV park about 2 miles from downtown/old town Palmer. We liked it so much we stayed here on 2 different occasions while traveling through Alaska. The owners are the nicest people and really go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable. We love the spotless showers and laundry. The location is lovely, surrounded by mountains and trees. Also, camping on well maintained grass was a treat. The sites are nicely spaced and it was so quiet, both during the week and on the Saturday when there was a wedding on the adjacent property. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet, clean beautiful place to relax and enjoy the area. We camped at Paradise Alaska RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The history of Palmer is very interesting, so be sure to get to the old town area and downtown to check it out. There's a brand new Fred Meyer Store and it is well stocked and carried a nice selection of fresh fish. Also, the local farmer's stand Bushes Bunches near the bridge carried all local fresh produce.

Overall Rating:

New, first year RV park located 2 miles out of Palmer. Smooth gravel road with level grass sites. Owner provides boards to place under leveling jacks. All the utilities are convenient and worked well. The owner is personable and has a larger vision for the park. The view of surrounding mountains is phenomenal. It is a quiet and peaceful setting - except for the few air planes during the day, none at night. The park sits at the end of the runway. There is a common space with a BBQ grill, table, fire pit and free fire wood. Two night stay gives free laundry access to 2 washer dryer combo units. Bath and shower room is very clean and well kept. Layout is rather odd. The bath / showers are uni-sex, with stall doors for privacy. One has to walk through the bath / shower area to access the laundry. For a first year RV park it is above average, we would stay there again.

Plan on at least two nights to get maximum benefits. 50 amp is $10 more a night. We camped at Paradise Alaska RV Park in a Motorhome.

One of the best parks available throughout Anchorage and the surrounding areas! The Wi-Fi was excellent because of the closeness to the repeater. Unfortunately they did not have cable. Palmer did not have digital access, so no TV. We watched lots of movies. The owners are very personable and anxious to learn anything that will benefit their park. Recommend it highly. Overall Rating:

We stayed at this park for a month while looking for a home to buy in Alaska. Beautiful scenery with mountains all around. Owners come across as very friendly. They live on the same property and run a landscaping business, farm, distillery and a venue for weddings all on the same property as the RV Park. No one is in the office so the owners are constantly running back and forth from the farm to the office and through the park. Tons of side road traffic as it is used for all the various business they have going. Weddings are held every weekend and get very loud with bands or the sound system provided by the owners. Once the weddings are over some of the "guests" might return to the RV park loud, drunk and obnoxious. The place is new, so restrooms and showers are in new condition. Cleaned once a week. Laundry room has two washers and dryers. Laundry is free if you stay two days but only allowed 2 "free" loads per week. Pets are welcome and are to be on a lead with no exceptions, but we saw many exceptions. This park is right at the end of the Palmer Airport and while the noise from small planes is very Alaskan, when someone was doing touch and go landings and take offs late in the evenings it got old, fast. They have installed a large fire pit, for parties? Complete with free firewood and a grill to cook on. This would be a great place for large family and/or friends parties where the amount of noise would not matter. Sites are side by side with no buffer in between. This was the noisiest RV park we have stayed at in the two months we have been living at RV parks in Alaska. We would NOT stay at this RV Park again. We camped at Paradise Alaska RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Palmer is a pretty little town. Go downtown and see whats happening there. All kinds of small town things going on. This is also right by the State Fair Grounds.

Usually stayed in the town of Palmer but like most, campgrounds have little grass and parking lots. This new CG had good reviews so tried it, I stayed here for 1 week and thus lower rate. Full hook ups except cable TV. Good to have just a few channels over the air to see world needs. Very easy for all utility hook ups and sites are LEVEL. Beautiful small campground, super owners whom want to provide the country setting campground with beautiful grass. We used as our base for visits to Anchorage, Glenn Hwy area, and lower end of the parks hwy. We will plan to stay here again on future trips to Alaska. We found this CG during a search when nothing in the area we hoped to be was available. Palmer was next on the way so this was it. Good find. This CG REALLY does have mountain views. Mountains visible on three sides. Wonderful owners. Site separation is a bit tight but Palmer is not exactly a destination with lots of attractions. The there is the musk ox farm, a drive up to spectacular Hatcher Pass & not much else. Great for a stock up stop at a fairly new Fred Meyers or as a CG if picking up or dropping off people at Anchorage airport. Rate was $35 for 30amp. WIFI free but iffy. Did not see an external router antenna. No fire rings. Less than a 1/2 mile off the end of the Palmer Municipal Airport runway but noise from Alaska's second state birds, bush planes, is not a problem & goes quiet in the evening. With only one over the air TV station cable would be nice. This will definitely be first choice next time in Palmer area. We camped at Paradise Alaska RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

New Park, Very nice restrooms probably the best we have seen on the road, free laundry for stays over 2 nights, new efficient machines. 30 full hook-up sites. Level, quiet, lovely grass, spacious. Good WIFI. Owners were terrific. Had an issue with our jeep, they offered their vehicle to borrow/ or drive us into town and pick back up. Would stay here again without a doubt. Such a sweet gem just outside of Anchorage. Skip the big city and rest in the serenity of the mountains and kindness of the hosts. We loved this area and CG so much that we returned for another visit three weeks later. I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and attention to detail. Was also able to purchase fresh eggs from the host! The laundry was FREE (if you stayed more than one night). I've never in 25+ years of camping had such a benefit mean so much! I did several loads. The host was so accommodating, attentive and came by after hours several times to be sure everyone was comfortable. If I'm able to return to Alaska and Palmer, we WILL definitely be back. Overall Rating:

The rate is for a 50 amp full hookup site. We have spent 3 nights at this new RV park that just opened in May, 2018. They have 20 full hookup sites (20/30/50 amp electric, water and sewer) and 10 dry camping sites. The sites are all back-in but there is a very wide U shaped roadway through the park that makes back in parking a breeze. The interior road is gravel, and the sites are nice tended grass. The park is very quiet and have beautiful breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains. The park is owned by a very nice couple that are actively farming the surrounding land and live behind the park and are trying to treat each park visitor as a close neighbor. They are meticulously attending to the park landscaping and office/laundry/shower building. The park is on East Outer Springer Loop road and is just south and across the road from the Palmer Golf Course. From the Glenn Highway (highway #1) turn onto Inner Springer Loop road at the northeast end of the Alaska State Fairground. The Noisy Goose Restaurant is also at this intersection on the east side of the Glenn Highway. Take Inner Springer Loop road west all the way to just before you reach the Palmer Golf Course ( little over a mile) and take a right turn going south onto East Outer Springer Loop Road and go about 1000 feet to the RV park on your right (west side of road). The park is about a quarter mile south of the Palmer Airport, but it appears that it is used primarily by small aircraft with little daytime noise, and we didn't notice any noise in the evening and during the night. Since the park is so new and some of the sites are not as firm as they likely will be with use, if you are in a bigger RV, pads under the RV jacks are probably a good idea. No park TV cable, one over the air TV channel available. We will certainly stay here anytime in the Palmer or Anchorage area. We camped at Paradise Alaska RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Noisy Goose Resturant is great, good food, and some of the funniest placards posted around the interior. Also we recommend the Musk Oxen farm for a Alaskan great education experience. There is a nearby Shell card lock gas/diesel station on your way into the park from Glenn Highway. There is a Fred Meyer great grocery "Walmart" type store.
