2 RV Parks near Petersburg, Alaska
Jul 2015 - $30.00
Easy access to sites, even for my 64' truck-trailer combo; $20/nite (EW), $30/nite (EWS, $180/full-week); wi-fi charge extra fee (per hour, day, week, etc), weak cell signal (Verizon is 3G and only 1 or 2 bars, so data is slow but voice calls are fine!). - Don_F
Jun 2014 - $18.00
This campground is small, but easy access in and out. The wifi access costs extra ($6.50/day). If you stay in a water and electric site, the charge to dump your tanks is $15. The charge I quoted is for water and electric only, with a Good Sam discount. The sites are fairly level. The park is 10 miles south of town, so a long drive back to town. A small general store and a liquor store is on site. The restrooms are nice and were very clean. - RCH
May 2013 - $20.00
This is a quiet little park with enough greenery around and between sites to feel very natural. The gravel roads and sites were in good shape and level. The water and electricity hookups worked well. Although 1/2 of the sites offer sewer, we didn't have one of them. The bathrooms were spacious and clean, but there is a charge for the shower. It was convenient to have a little store there at the park. At $20, this was a good value. We'd stay here again if we ever get back to Alaska. - DaveInOhio
Jun 2017 - $30.00
Frog's is a lovely RV park in Petersburg, AK! The view is spectacular -- right on Scow Bay with full hookups. It doesn't get better than this! The owners couldn't be nicer. They made our stay so enjoyable and even made us Krumkake, a special Norwegian treat! The spaces are pull throughs, will accommodate even big rigs, laundry on site, showers, and bathrooms too. The RV park is close to town making it easy to pop in for lunch or dinner. The WiFi worked very well too and the RV park was sparkling clean and inviting. We'd return in an instant and highly recommend it! We were also treated to smoked salmon from a neighbor and Tanner crab. Petersburg hospitality at the finest! Thank you! - csk
Jun 2017 - $35.00
Our site was overlooking the sound. We saw 13 eagles eating/hunting dungeness crab. Lots of eagles! Also lots of rain. - skidiver
Jul 2015 - $30.00
We had the site closest to the water (Wrangell Narrows, on Scow Bay), so unobstructed, panoramic view of the shoreline; full hookups, free Wi-Fi worked from the trailer; friendly and hospitable - the pull-thru site was a challenge for our big rig (63' long) but we made it; got a $10 discount for weekly rate.
We stayed here in a LARGE 5th wheel. - Don_F
