This is a good park for Alaska. We had a back in site with lots of room between sites. Park is clean and quite. All hook ups worked, cable worked but not many channels. Park has a nice dog walking area next to the river. The only negative to this park is the road coming in. It needs gravel and grader work, full of pot holes. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Internet has worked well, roads could use a lot of filling/leveling--lots of potholes. I wouldn't call this a 'luxury' RV park (as it is billed). It is fair to good. Sites are level/gravel. In a quiet, residential area. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very good RV park but not a "luxury" park as they advertise. Sites are level gravel about 55' long with 15' of weedy grass between RVs. The interior roads are gravel and wide enough to make sites easy in/out. Some sites have sewer & some have cable, which worked okay with 12 channels. They have a few 50A and the rest are 30A. Satellite TV won't work this far north. Park wifi worked intermittently. Verizon had a 3G signal with both voice and data working okay. As you drive towards Seward, the Verizon data signal dies off. This park has a nice laundry plus a meeting room you can schedule. On the negative side, the road to the park is now paved which is a nice improvement, but they didn't pave the last 200 yards. It's full of potholes that will jar your rig. Then when you enter the park, you find more potholes. The park should have paid for paving to their entrance or at the very least have the potholes filled periodically with gravel. The potholes are full of muddy water when it rains and the park is adamant that you can't use their water to clean off the mud. Finally, there's a nice river adjacent to the park but they planted tall shrubs so you can only hear the river and not see it. We'd stay here again but please finish paving the road! We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

About 6 miles from Seward, so easy access to Exit Glacier and Seward. Our site had 50 amp, sewer, water, cable and decent WiFi. Gravel roads to drive back quite a ways into the area, with several turns, are maintained fairly well. RV park signs are small so keep aware so you don't miss any of the turns. Enough room to park our 40 ft Motorhome and tow vehicle side by side. Laundry and showers open 23 hours (closed from noon-1 p.m. for cleaning). Sites themselves are fairly level, but unkempt (weeds were more than knee-high). Only a few of the sites have fire pits, but they have one "community" fire pit. Overall, decent place to stay. RV sites in Seward have nicer views of oceans and mountains, but those sites are all dry-dock, $20, first-come-first-served. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nothing special about this park. We were heading to Seward without a reservation, on a Saturday. Called and space was available so we took it. Tight spaces. Showers were free. Would not stay here again. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Quiet park about 6 miles outside Seward. Just off hwy., but a little tricky to find; go slow & watch for signs. Rough gravel roads and fairly level, gravel sites; sites not too tight. Park surrounded by trees with creek on one side; views of mountains & eagles. Large areas of grass - good for walking our dogs. WiFi worked, but very slow. We would stay here again. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

I agree with previous reviews. Nice scenery, quiet, close to Seward. Wifi slow but it worked. Cable is acceptable. Wish they cut the brush so you could see the creek. The roads coming into the park are rough and definitely follow the sign. We stayed here in a motorhome and would stay here again. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

The level pull-through gravel site had plenty of room for our awning and slides. The utilities worked well and they provide several cable channels. The Wi-Fi was slow most of the time but that seems to be normal in Alaska. The park is easy to get around in but the dirt road to the park (about 1/2 mile) needed scraping. It was a very rocking ride to our site. There is a creek near the park and mountain views. We would stay here again. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice enough Alaska "parking lot" campground. Pretty good spacing between sites. Level pull thru and back in gravel 30/50 amp F/H/U spaces. Seems most of the pull thrus are reserved for caravans. Seward is Very busy in the summer. Reserve early. Some trails for hiking and pets. Right along creek, but hard to get down to it. Has fire pits and tables, small store. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try to go on the July 4th weekend. Seward has the best fireworks show in Alaska and the Mount Marathon Race up and down the side of the mountain. They close off several downtown streets with vendors and food. Lots of entertainment!

The setting is especially nice, on the creek and surrounded by mountains. The CATV had 12 channels, Verizon was good but the Wifi was largely useless [common in Alaska]. Stayed four days and would return. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Worth taking the nine mile road off Seward Highway to Exit Glacier and the one mile [a little steep in places] hike up to the glacier. Beautiful scenery and great parking for RVs at the Visitors Center.

We stayed 2 nights. Good spacing between sites. Not much shade but quiet picturesque setting made up for this. Wi-fi was not good but there were about a dozen tv stations. RV park appeared to be quite a cut above others we drove past in Seward area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

So far the best park we have camped at in Alaska. A little ways out of town and a bit remote but not an issue as it was an easy run to downtown and the NP. Good w/s/e/ cable/ Wi-Fi services at the park. Only issues were minor - a few loose dogs meandering through the park, and it would be nice if the management spent a little time on a weed eater around the sites- though they are predominantly gravel. The CG sites are angled across a gentle slope thus sites are not absolutely level . But we liked the park and would stay here again. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Another typical Alaska campground with close sites and gravel everywhere. We were in a back-in site for the first couple of days and then moved to a pull-through site. People build their own fire pits according to their whims and we had several on our back-in site with one of them located under our RV. Office staff was friendly and check in was smooth. Did not use the bathhouse or laundry. Verizon cell/MiFi worked fine. This campground is located outside Seward proper but it is not a long drive to town. We would probably stay here again if in the area. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Your experience at this park will depend on where you are located. If you are lucky enough to get one of the creek side spots you will have a green space overlook and the sound of a fast rushing creek. And a firepit. If you are not lucky you will be located in the central gravel parking lot with no green space, no trees, and no firepit. As Seward is a popular destination for Alaskans and out of state tourists, and because the City waterfront campground fills up fast, this campground fills up fast too. As a footnote, you get what you pay for here with the advertised free wifi. Service was slow and not dependable, and if you need to log on you may have to do it in town at a reception friendly cafe. We camped at Stoney Creek RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
