They have new ownership and I think that the new owners will be spending the effort to upgrade the park. Things are a bit aged - nothing really wrong, but just needs to have some updating investment in the facilities.

The new owners are very helpful and fun-loving. The evening 'pancake toss' is an excellent way for all of the guests to get to know each other. I did like it that they had a car/RV wash. That's a much needed amenity after driving the Alaska Highway.

I'd stay here again. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

I had a reservation and was greeted well and checked in with no problems. My trailer required no leveling front to rear or side to side. We did the pancake toss in the PM and did the buckit and clapping chant. It is a great place to stay. If you are coming from the border, pass by the other RV parks and turn on the Tok Cutoff Highway and go a short distance to the Sourdough. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This little Alaskan gem is a great place to stay. The sites are staggered, and the whole place is wooded. Your neighbors are fairly close, but you don't see them. The park owners are great people. The restaurant on site with breakfast and dinner not to be missed. Pancakes, reindeer sausage, and the works. The pancake toss every night is a hoot, and you might win a free breakfast. Checking in, there are fresh pies in a case right on the counter. It's tough not to leave the office without a couple pieces of pie ala mode. We thought it was the best RV park we stayed at in Alaska. They also have an RV wash right on site. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Good atmosphere, adequate sites, the facilities could use some updating. Bathroom and showers are a little tight and the shower heads are low (came up to my nose and I'm 5'10). The best part is the nightly get together to toss some pancakes into a "Buck-it" for a free breakfast. My daughter got it in and the next morning my wife and her went to breakfast while I prepped the rig for the day's travel and they said it was a great breakfast, well worth the price (for the single meal).
The owners run this camp and one down in Arizona so they have experience. I also heard he's an RV mechanic, so that's handy if you have some issues.

Level site, mediocre (but working) wifi, had access with AT&T, RV pressure wash on site with about 4.5 minutes for $2....little pricey.
The dryers didn't dry very well, had to run two cycles.
Overall, good camp run by good people. We would stay here again. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If coming from Canada, skip border city and fill up in Tok before making the turn onto the Glenn HWY, the mom and pop gas station on the left was the cheapest by a few cents.
Unfortunately, although you're back in the US and off the AK HWY (if you're heading to Anchorage), still expect some tough road conditions all the way to Palmer with some decent areas around Glenallen. Gas gets progressively cheaper the closer you get to ANC.

Besides wide, long, and fairly level sites with some trees and bushes between you and the sites next to you, the owners of this place (Tracey & Tim) are fun and care about you enjoying your stay. Their sour dough pancakes are a breakfast favorite and we ate chili in sourdough bowls for supper that was also delicious. They have a quarter-fed wash station for cars and RVs on site (which you'll need if you just arrived from across the Yukon). And don't miss the "pancake toss" at 7:30 each evening - a fun way to meet other campers and maybe even win a free breakfast. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Office was closed when we arrived so picked an empty spot and registered later. Site was a very long gravel pull-through that could accommodate any size rig or combination. Utilities worked fine. Wi-Fi no longer worked at the sites. It was available in the vicinity of the office. No cable and one channel off the air. We would probably stay here again if in the area. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice wood site, level. Quiet. Restrooms were clean, just a little dated. Showers were free. We stayed here for one night in a motor home. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Sites are tucked into the trees, providing lots of privacy from neighbors.

There's a nightly pancake toss which could be fun. If you are able to toss a pancake into the bucket, you get a free breakfast. There's a "meet and greet" before the toss where everyone has to tell a little about themselves...not really my thing. If you don't clap and chant during the toss, the owner will harass and humiliate you in front of everyone else.

There's a small restaurant run by the owners and the food is OK, very expense (as is everything in Alaska), and small portions. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Rate is for a dry site with a Good Sam discount applied. For our second stay on the way back we choose an electric only site which was 32.40$ after discount. The park is run by new owners since January and the owner happens to be an experienced RV mechanic with a well stocked parts supply who offers his service at 105$ per hour. We got our water heater repaired (thermostat had died) for under 80$.
The sites are level and separated by trees so you have some privacy. WiFi only works at the office but there it is reliable and pretty fast. Dump station is available. Toilets and showers were dated but clean. It is quiet at night. We came back for a second stay and will come back in the future. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are an outgoing person how likes to interact with other people and doesn't mind to behave a little childish then go to the pancake tossing event. We had a lot of fun since the owner hosted the pancake toss like an entertainer on stage. But you could tell there were a few people who felt uncomfortable and maybe embarrassed. Don't try to just watch the show, this will be really embarrassing. Go and have fun or stay away.

Site was one of the prettiest with lots of tree canopy. Site is laid out in circular form with true pull through. Easy to level but you need to watch the trees to make sure your slideout will not get tangled. Showers were free and women's room was clean and plenty of room. No highway noise. Cute grounds with a little museum type layout. I would give it a ten but the internet WiFi did not reach us and we were in the middle of the campground. Good thing in that it forced you to go to the cafe where the owner cooked for you. He and his wife are very nice. If there were more people in the campground he would have had his nightly "pancake toss". Get a pancake in the bucket and you get free breakfast. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

We loved the park grounds and the tree shrouded sites. Unfortunately we stayed here before the campground was completely operational for the season, so water and sewer were not yet available. The owners are very involved with their guests and take pride in making sure your stay exceeds expectations. I'm looking forward to staying here again in August on our way out of Alaska so we can see the grounds in full swing. The pancake breakfast was excellent!! We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed here in a MH pulling a towed. Pull through sites available but can be extremely tight entering and exiting. Gravel site was level and location of hookups was convenient. Sites were quiet and well removed from the highway. Internet was slow but useable for email. Did not hook up to water, sewer, or use RV wash this trip. Restaurant was closed for the season. We have stayed here before and will again in the future. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

We camped here twice within the last 5 weeks. Next season, it will be under new ownership, and we have met the new owner, a very cool guy, who knows a lot about RV repair. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. There is a small café on the premises that serves sourdough pancakes for breakfast, as well as casual lunches and dinners. Every night, in the covered gathering place, there is a pancake toss, which is a hoot. The owner gets everyone who comes involved and it is so much fun. There is a campfire and often there is live entertainment by local talents. High pressure vehicle wash is available, sites are widely spaced, level, and shaded. This place is popular with tent camping groups, maybe because of the covered table area, but also because the management is actively involved with their guests and very welcoming. We would definitely camp here again, and highly recommend the Sourdough. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

What a great park. The sites are large (especially by AK standards) and most are separated by trees for lots of privacy. The restaurant was making caribou chili and it was very good. Everybody gathered for the pancake toss and live music in the evening and it was good fun. The wifi is quite good. It's a few miles from town on the Tok cutoff. We camped with w&e only. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Adequate park just off the Alaska Hwy (on Tok cutoff) convenient to Tok. Sites were level, pricey as usual for what you get in Alaska, water & electric back in is $36. Gal in office promoted the breakfast but $10 for pancakes is just more than I care to pay. WIFI worked only for the first night we were there and then never again. Free entertainment after dinner both at the park and at Fast Eddy's Restaurant in town. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.
