Had a level, pull through site. Trees were on both sides of site. Site was about 70 feet long. AT&T worked well. WI-FI worked well most of the time. Campground was well designed and easy to maneuver rigs on the interior roads. Owners of the park were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

They have a nice cafe on site. Th menu is limited, but the dinner and breakfast I had were excellent. The food and sour dough bread were homemade. There is a pancake toss every evening at 7:30 pm. Throw a pancake in a bucket and win a free breakfast. The pancake toss is a fun event and allows you to meet other campers.

This is a great park with very nice on-site owners who like to get involved with their guests. The evening pancake toss is a real hoot (I won a free breakfast to boot). The sites are spaced well apart with a lot of trees so privacy was excellent. Some sites had trees pretty close to the gravel pads so bigger rigs might have to keep their awnings in...we did. Even though it's located on the highway it was very quiet for sleeping. An older park that could use a little maintenance, but overall pretty nice. Our 30 amp power worked fine. Even though there is no sewer connection there is a dump station. The free Wifi was the best we had since leaving the lower 48. If you're looking for satellite reception you probably won't get it here....too many trees. There are no fire rings but the community fire pit looked very nice. There was a fire ban in effect when we were there so sadly no fire. The RV wash looked alright but we didn't use it at $2 per cycle and it looked like it was just water with no soap. We'll stay here again on our way back south. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The campground is very big. Long pull throughs. In the evening the owner had a pancake toss. If you got a pancake in the bucket you got a free breakfast the next morning. He had a lot of fun with the campers and he was also the cook for breakfast. He and his wife were very nice people. Thought is was a little pricey, but that is Alaska. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The owners are great, friendly and helpful. They also run a cafe on site for breakfast and dinner. This is a well loved campground for Tok, Alaska! The sites are tree lined and spacious. Cable is not provided and wifi is limited. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Our truck broke down about 12 miles outside Tok and we had to be towed into town along with our trailer. The tow truck dropped the trailer at Sourdough per our instructions and we spent five nights there waiting for a new fuel pump to arrive. We had a delightful time at the campground. The hosts are great. The sites are nicely laid out and separated by trees and bushes. The cafe serves breakfast and dinner(burgers, hot dogs, etc.) and it's all good. The nightly pancake toss is not to be missed. My wife and I would go out of our way to stay here again and we may on our way out of Alaska. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Sourdough Campground once in May 2016 on our way to Anchorage and again in September 2016 on our way back to the Lower 48. The first visit was about a week before they "officially" opened for the season and they were very friendly and allowed us to go ahead and stay there for the night. Evidently the new owners had recently taken over the business and they were in the process of getting every thing set up and running. The sites are nice and long and the campground has a "wooded" feel with trees and shrubs between each site. The location is right on the Tok cutoff and provides easy in and out access even for big rigs. This campground would certainly provide a comfortable and fun lengthy stay as mentioned in previous reviews and we enjoyed our one night visit on both occasions. Some might consider it pricey for a rustic looking park compared to resort parks in the Lower 48 but this is Alaska! We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

They have new ownership and I think that the new owners will be spending the effort to upgrade the park. Things are a bit aged - nothing really wrong, but just needs to have some updating investment in the facilities.

The new owners are very helpful and fun-loving. The evening 'pancake toss' is an excellent way for all of the guests to get to know each other. I did like it that they had a car/RV wash. That's a much needed amenity after driving the Alaska Highway.

I'd stay here again. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

I had a reservation and was greeted well and checked in with no problems. My trailer required no leveling front to rear or side to side. We did the pancake toss in the PM and did the buckit and clapping chant. It is a great place to stay. If you are coming from the border, pass by the other RV parks and turn on the Tok Cutoff Highway and go a short distance to the Sourdough. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This little Alaskan gem is a great place to stay. The sites are staggered, and the whole place is wooded. Your neighbors are fairly close, but you don't see them. The park owners are great people. The restaurant on site with breakfast and dinner not to be missed. Pancakes, reindeer sausage, and the works. The pancake toss every night is a hoot, and you might win a free breakfast. Checking in, there are fresh pies in a case right on the counter. It's tough not to leave the office without a couple pieces of pie ala mode. We thought it was the best RV park we stayed at in Alaska. They also have an RV wash right on site. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Good atmosphere, adequate sites, the facilities could use some updating. Bathroom and showers are a little tight and the shower heads are low (came up to my nose and I'm 5'10). The best part is the nightly get together to toss some pancakes into a "Buck-it" for a free breakfast. My daughter got it in and the next morning my wife and her went to breakfast while I prepped the rig for the day's travel and they said it was a great breakfast, well worth the price (for the single meal).
The owners run this camp and one down in Arizona so they have experience. I also heard he's an RV mechanic, so that's handy if you have some issues.

Level site, mediocre (but working) wifi, had access with AT&T, RV pressure wash on site with about 4.5 minutes for $2....little pricey.
The dryers didn't dry very well, had to run two cycles.
Overall, good camp run by good people. We would stay here again. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If coming from Canada, skip border city and fill up in Tok before making the turn onto the Glenn HWY, the mom and pop gas station on the left was the cheapest by a few cents.
Unfortunately, although you're back in the US and off the AK HWY (if you're heading to Anchorage), still expect some tough road conditions all the way to Palmer with some decent areas around Glenallen. Gas gets progressively cheaper the closer you get to ANC.

Besides wide, long, and fairly level sites with some trees and bushes between you and the sites next to you, the owners of this place (Tracey & Tim) are fun and care about you enjoying your stay. Their sour dough pancakes are a breakfast favorite and we ate chili in sourdough bowls for supper that was also delicious. They have a quarter-fed wash station for cars and RVs on site (which you'll need if you just arrived from across the Yukon). And don't miss the "pancake toss" at 7:30 each evening - a fun way to meet other campers and maybe even win a free breakfast. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.
