Not exactly sure of price since we were part of a prepaid caravan. Gravel lot and packed in like sardines - side by side and back to back. Walking distance to most everything in town and excellent wi-fi and cheap ice. CONS: very cramped, gravel, park packed with weekenders and fishing derby people - noisy, laundry $3 wash and $3 dry. We would look for something nicer if we were coming back. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Interesting dive bar directly across the street from park.

The sites are extremely close with awnings and back ends nearly touching. Unhitching is a must? I don't know where the "bayside" comes from, but there was a marshy area adjacent to the park, but the bay was some ways away. Very nice staff and the place was well run and quiet after 10. Sites are gravel and level. We enjoyed being so close to the harbor and the town, so could walk everywhere. Every other park in town had cramped sites, so there really isn't another choice. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed visiting the harbor and the public fish cleaning area where we watched "master" men who cleaned and filleted everyone's catch. Also enjoyed the 1968 Earthquake Museum, the wonderful Whitney Museum, Valdez Glacier Lake, the Solomon Creek Forest Service Visitor center and the Fish Hatchery where the salmon were returning.

We picked this park because it is right downtown. We do not have a car so we wanted to be able to walk to town. It is a large gravel parking lot and units are crammed in very close. But this is norm in Alaska. The people are very helpful and you can book charters and tours at the office. It is within walking distance of Safeway and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and waterfalls. Showers are clean and free. There is very little grass and that is hard on the dog. They have a big communal campfire every night. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We've been traveling in Alaska for the month of July and this is the best park we've visited. Good power, water, wifi worked well, and there are 41 channels of cable that all worked well. Our site was facing the bay and the view was very nice. They also allow you to wash your coach or car at no extra cost. The park is well withing walking distance to down town and the boat docks. Sites are fairly close together but the park is very quiet and well managed. We would stay here again. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We thought the Solomon Gulch Salmon Hatchery was a good place to visit as was the Whitney Museum.

We stayed at Bayside RV park for two weeks. The park is nice and big. There's no shade and it's essentially a large, gravel parking lot. The staff was friendly and helpful and kept everything clean and well cared for. The views of the mountains and bay are all amazing, complete with several waterfalls. We enjoyed our stay here and would revisit. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Be sure to check out the Worthington Glacier that's about 30 miles up the road. Fishing over near the hatchery is also fun.

Good park. We were on the bay side so got to look out at the bay and mountains. Great water pressure and good electric. WiFi was good and good cable. Gravel roads. You are pretty close together but place is quite. They let you wash your car and Rv also which was nice. Cost was free. Nicest bathrooms and showers I've seen. Just a nice park. Would stay again. People working here are nice and helpful. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stay two nights in this park. The site are quite close to each other, but it is still convenient since all the park staff maintain regulation and make sure no customer breaking any rules. We choose the site that facing the bay for 10 dollar more but it is worthy. The staff are very professional we got help during set up, they make sure the full hookup work as well as the cable channel. They have a very nice fire pit. Shower, toilet and laundry rooms are also nice and well maintained. Valdez is such a beautiful town. We did the Prince William cruise to Colombia glacier and it is very nice. The glacier are big and wild life are plenty. We saw about 6 whales during the trip. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Try the Mai Thai restaurant the food is really good. Fukung Chinese Resto is also good.

After a very long and rainy day driving to Valdez, I was checked into the Bayside RV Park by a smiling young woman who made me feel like a welcome and valuable customer. It made me realize how much my perception of a park can be affected by the check-in process. Yes, it's a gravel parking lot with close sites but it's right on the bay with mountains all around and conveniently in town. I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Safeway is a couple of blocks or so away.

We pulled in without any reservations before the summer rush. We were able to get a full hookup site in the best view row facing the bay. We liked this over the others in the town (one is right across the street) because of the view. It is within walking and biking distance to restaurants and the harbor. Leveling took a little work but we managed. The owner fed the bald eagles around 5:30 and it was quite a show! We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Within walking distance of town, restaurants; bank, grocery store. Can take boat tour or explore hiking trails.

The reason for scoring a 5 is they are packing people in like sardines. Fishermen have their boats and gear, some folks have tents set up on their already small sites along with the RV. You have to be careful not to get pinned in when you go to leave. Rest rooms and showers are clean WiFi is OK. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed in three different campgrounds in Valdez and I like this one the best. It is under new ownership and the office people were very friendly and informative. I was especially impressed with the cleanliness of the restrooms/showers. Throughout the day, they were cleaned and there was no time that I found them lacking. This was even more impressive when you take into consideration the number of people who were staying there. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

What a pleasant surprise. This a fairly small and well maintained park that is under new ownership. Cleanliness of showers and restrooms are head and shoulders above average. Washers and dryers in good condition and work well. Excellent Wi-Fi and cable TV reception. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful. Awesome views of surrounding mountains. One of the nicer parks we've stayed in during our most recent trip through Canada and Alaska. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Level sites, Wi-Fi and cable worked well. Sites and interior roads are gravel. Culvert at the exit that you must drive over rocks your coach back and forth. Right next to the docks for easy access. Lots of fishing activity with freezers covered in blue tarps next to coaches. Had people camping in cars next to us. Beautiful views. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

The sites here are way too close together. The sites are back to back and side to side, not really pull-thru's unless the site behind you has no one in it. You have to unhook your toad before going to any site. Quiet time starts at ten PM but because the sites are so close together if someone is setting outside and just talking normally it sounds like they are in your rig! There was someone with a quad that was very noisy and did not really care if it was midnight. One of our neighbors had their outdoor rug and chairs and awning hanging things on our side of the site boundaries. I had to walk on their rug to get to my services. I reported this to the office but nothing was done. The neighbors had two dogs that barked all the time also. The Wi-Fi was very slow most of the time probably due to the number of people using it. We would stay at another park if visiting Valdez again. We camped at Bayside RV Park in a Motorhome.
