5 RV Parks near Champion, Alberta
Aug 2016 - $35.00
Grounds are immaculate, staff nice however must be greatly misdirected or greatly underfunded. Used 5 different vault toilet buildings and not one door latch worked and no hand sanitizer was available. The swim area is extremely over run with seaweed and stagnant water. Very disappointing. Pay taxes in a province hoping to enjoy a provincial park and the swim area is a gross dug out of stagnant water. The government needs to put pumps in this area to move the water. Payed $64 for a weekend with the reservation fee to be ambushed by a staff member collecting yet another $6 to use the dump station. Nickle and dime garbage. We will never return ever. This is no way to respect the tax payers. Alberta parks needs to smartin up! - Tax payer

Great Campsite. Campground is very well maintained and clean. Staff is very friendly. Beach area is very good . This campground is used by allot of boaters as it is a reservoir so some sites are large enough for a big trailer and a boat. Sites are lined up but with distance between them. Roads and trails are all paved. Would definitely go back - strathmoreman

A sweet little spot to stay right on the north edge of Vulcan. Beautifully treed. Full service. Close to baseball fields, rodeo grounds, and the golf course.
Has free wi-fibre, antenna mounted right on roof of shower building :) . Free showers, flush toilets, very clean. I am just sitting outside listening to the breeze through the trees and the odd bird chattering. We will definitely return. - Sequoia1

Very friendly and accommodating office manager who made us aware of the weekend events; one being a classic car show right at the park and a festival in town! Very large sites. Power box is in the neighbor's yard at each site. Dump station is always busy as it is free to everyone. - singpj
Jul 2017 - $24.00
Campground located in a city park. The majority of sites are out in the open, but many of the full hookup ones are shaded by trees. At check-in, staff gave us a better site than the one previously reserved. Our site was a level, gravel back-in and included a table. Sewer and water connections were in the rear while the power was up front. I needed an extra hose for the sewer. All hookups worked fine. No OTA TV, satellite would be possible from the open sites. Wi-Fi was open access, no password. It was good enough for e-mail and browsing. Staff admitted it can be slow when the campground is full. Campground was quiet, but may not always be that way since the park does have a couple of baseball diamonds, playground, and a spray park. We would stay here again if ever in the area. - Onemoretrail

Well kept campground/park in the middle of town. Some shade trees, sites are large and grassy. Back-in sites. Bathroom and showers were clean. Very friendly hostess. Walking areas, playground nearby. Would definitely stay again. - mntraveler
