What a beautiful park! Landscaping in between each site makes it feel private and spacious. The staff is very helpful. They have back-in and pull-thru sites. The sites are gravel and are raked every time they are vacated. They are also level. No cable TV and very few over air channels. Wi-fi not very good, even close to the office. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park. Many of the sites are pull thru's and very Big Rig friendly with easily navigable asphalt roadways. The utility hookups are perfectly sited and each space is bordered by hedges and usually a shade tree. A nice grassy area is accompanied by a picnic table and a fire ring located on the gravel. Sites are perfectly level. We did not use the restrooms or showers but based on how well maintained the rest of the park is I presume these are well kept as well. The only reason I can't give the park a 10 is due to spotty WiFi. The network indicates it's the "new" Bow RiversEdge WiFi so I presume they tried to upgrade. However, the park was also quite full (reserve in advance for the summer season!) so I suspect their WiFi bandwidth was often maxed out. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cochrane is centrally located to both Calgary and Banff NP. We took the train from Tuscany station into town several times including Stampede grounds. One could drive the Trans Canada Highway for a little over an hour to enjoy Banff and the NP. Lake Louise is another 45 minutes northwest but could be experienced while still camping in Bow RiversEdge.

We stayed four nights at this park. It has been our favorite park so far here in Canada and Alaska. The park is very well maintained, level sites, stable power and GREAT water pressure. The laundry is very nice and clean. We really liked how the sites don't feel that close together due to the landscaping between sites. Plenty of room for our 41' motorhome and 4dr Jeep. There is a great walking trail next to the RV park along the river. There is a Walmart and restaurants are close buy. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

We stay @ this park whenever in the Calgary area. It is always busy but you never feel crowded as the spaces are just large enough to give some outdoor space . The spaces have bushes between them which helps. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Overall Rating:

A well maintained campground with paved roads and nice level gravel sites. Stayed in a back in river site. Nicely maintained hedges between each of the sites to provide more privacy. New WiFi which was free and works great for normal uses. They have a good set of rules and expect everyone to abide with them. If you select a river site, be aware that there is a public trail along the river and the campground has a fence but I think everyone in the town of Cochrane that has a dog brings it here to walk since it is a "no leash" section of the trail. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

We have been here 2 times and it has been great both time. Very quite, nice separation between sites with bushes. Great place to us as a base camp to travel to the Rockies (Banff etc...). Highly recommended this please to anyone. Lots of pull though sites and the back in sites are very easy to get in to. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here for several days in a 43' 5th wheel, very easy to back into site but narrow and not deep enough to park the truck conveniently. Very quiet, well maintained campground, our site (#4) backed a tall hill and was nicely sheltered from the wind. Sites are separated by well maintained hedges. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate based upon monthly stay in 50 amp pull thru. Nice well maintained park close to river. Good things: quiet, great location, paved roads. Negatives: wi-fi useless, construction on adjacent property, speeders within park. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

This park is exceptionally well kept. The setting is beautiful, it backs along the Bow River with the walking trail bordering the rivers edge. Sites are private with hedges between the sites. Roads are easily navigated and all of the hook ups are conveniently located. Shopping is nearby with a variety of places to choose from. We'll definitely stay here again. The setting is a little odd. You think you're driving into an industrial park and at the end, through all the construction trucks, you find this little gem. While there is a lot of construction going on near the park, it's just temporary and didn't affect our experience. The campground is very nice and has a wonderful off leash dog walk area/trail right outside the gates. It comes complete with a river view. The path went on for miles and would be great for biking or walking. Our site was very roomy and provided more space than we needed for our 36' plus tow. It would accommodate a larger rig with ease. The laundry facilities were very, very nice with lots of washers/dryers! There was a beautiful playground as well. If ever in the area again, we will definitely return. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.

Campground is not that easy to find off of the main highway (poor signage). I was given a gravel pull-thru, FHU 30 Amp site for my 42' 5th wheel. I was able to unhook my truck & still have room to park on the site. Sites are close to your neighbor, but a hedge separates you and the next site, so it makes the site look a little bigger. Park is well maintained and looks well kept. Wi-fi worked well on my site. Picnic table & fire ring are on the site. Would probably stay here again. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Signage from the main highway to the RV Park is not that good.

Rail Station to Calgary if you don't want to drive to Calgary from the park is just a few miles from the park.

This is one of the most well groomed and maintained campgrounds that we have ever been at. The landscaping was well looked after. The washrooms and showers were very clean and updated. Laundry facilities are also very clean with newer machines. Like other reviews stated the sites are rather narrow with just enough room for slides and awnings. This is the place to stay when in Calgary area. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground is immaculate. Very well landscaped and very well maintained. Some criticism because sites are very narrow, neighbor is very close. They have planted trees and shrubs between sites and these help but the campers are still very close side to side. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This was a wonderful campground from which to explore Calgary and Banff National Park. The place is very manicured and well-maintained. The sites are nicely separated by hedges and trees. The campground is located on the river at one corner of the town of Cochrane, giving convenient access to shopping, dining, and services. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would happily return to camp here again. We camped at Bow RiversEdge Campground in a Motorhome.
