Camped here for a week during Stampede week but park was rarely full with Stampeders. Mostly live-on-site people or the overnighters. The live ins are pretty much to themselves.

As other people have said, there are wooden fences at the front of the sites making it challenging to back into the pad with a bigrig (we are in a 45' motorhome). More or less level but the 'patio' area was a big puddle. When raining (which it did every day) there was a lake to step into. There's really no amenities to speak of.

There is a security gate with an entry key which is not accessible from the motorhome. You have to get out and run back in. Would be nice if they had a entry pass at MH level especially during the downpour that we experienced.

30 amp service operated fine: no 50 amps available for transients I was told.

There are not many choices in Calgary for decent campgrounds. The closer ones are booked well in advance.

You can get into Calgary via the C-Train park and ride. The closest stop is about 35 minutes away and then the C-Train to Stampede park is about 45 minutes. Far, but easier than finding parking during Stampede week.

As you exit the park there's lots of potholes. Just have to go slow. Probably not returning here if visiting Stampede again. Just was too far. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed here during the Calgary Stampede week, but we were given a weekly rate! I believe the daily rate was $60 during the Stampede.
This park was pretty far away from both Cochrane and Calgary, but it was not hard to get to the light-rail station for city sightseeing. The park was just off a major highway, well-marked, and easy to find. Interior roads were generous and easy to navigate. Sites were plenty long and wide enough, making it easy to move our 45ft motorhome in and out!
All hookups were well placed.
We would stay here again! We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects weekly stay. Strange RV campground. There are fences around the grass at every site to keep people from parking on it. This makes it very hard for big rigs in the back in sites. It is doable but you must have a spotter and take your time. There have been many discussions on these fences on social media with many saying that they could not negotiate the fences, so be prepared. They say that they have 50 amp sites, however these are all taken by "permanents". You will have a level 30 amp F/H/U gravel site. There is plenty of space between sites (due to the fences) and all have tables and fire rings. You can walk dogs on the Western edge beside the highway and not much else. Nice store & fuel with a deli on premises. The campground does not refund ANYTHING FOR ANY REASON so plan your stay accordingly. Staff is friendly but limited. Wifi is iffy. We stayed here because it was in between Banff N.P. and Calgary, but it is really too far (hour and 1/2) to use as a base for Banff/Lake Louise. Will choose another place next time. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

It was a very clean, great looking park. All sites had a tree, fire pit, table, gravel and a grassey area. The sites were level and the utilities were easy to access. There was a highway running by the park, but traffic calmed dawn in the evening and did not disturb us. The staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed this park immensely. It is fenced and you need a gate key ($10.00 deposit), but felt secure and safe behind the fence. We stayed here in a 5th wheel. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a really great spot, just north of Cochrane. Easy to maneuver around in and it looked to be fairly new. The utilities were top notch, however I do wish the WIFI signal was a little stronger. We really couldn't connect to the internet. There were a lot of full timers. The lady at the front desk was quite crabby, but you can't have everything. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

50 and 30amp electric is available but not on the same pedestal. Breakers are at the top of the pedestal. Sewer is OK, opening for my site is about 5" above grade and concrete is so close around the sewer pipe you can't get your hose connected screwed in properly. The campground makes a big effort to let you know to use the tight connection. Can't do it with a RV sewer hose. The sewer is about 5 inches above the ground so a sewer hose support would be necessary. Water 40@ psi. Wi-Fi is terrible. Takes a long time to load a website and then while you are doing what you want to do it disconnects you. When it works it is fairly good, but if you pause you will loose your access. It was free with a weeks stay. There is no cable. The over the air has 6 channels that are clear. Sites are large gravel. Grass on each side and wooden rail fence between sites. The wooden rail extends to the ends of the camp site and can present a problem getting in and out for large rigs. Water and Sewer is in a concrete area. Sites have plenty of room between them so awnings and slides are no problem. The interior road between sites is also large gravel and have large potholes. You have to go slow so you won't bounce your rig a lot. One thing that I found is that DirecTV is possible here. I stayed a week so there was no discounts. Payment with an American credit card is no problem. Additional Charges are for a gate card. The campground has an electric gate that is locked at all times. Deposit is returned when leaving the campground. Nightly rate is for a week in US currency. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for a month and found this to be an overall nice clean campground with all the sight seeing close by. The unfortunate thing was we were not told that there was going to be construction right in front of our campsite. The heavy equipment started at 8:00 pm every morning and even on weekends, so if you are looking for peace and quite, this is not for you unless you stay away from the construction area. The park is very clean and has a gas station, liquor store, and a well stocked grocery/restaurant. Excellent value for your dollar. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is packed with full time workers. The workers really enjoy their weekends and then off to work at 6 with their diesel trucks. The bathrooms are shared with the truckers and the convenience store. The C-store has a small deli and liquor store next door. The sites are level, the Wi-Fi is so so. Out of the way and about an hour away from Banff. Would not stay here again. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very clean campground, and the people behind the desk are very kind and helpful. There is a good laundry, and the fire pits are clean upon arrival. A store is conveniently located on the site in a gas station and provides everything you need. Small playground. Sites are pretty large. On the other side: there is no shade at all in this park despite some small trees. The campground is pretty far from Calgary (at least 45 mn). The wi-fi was not working. But overall the balance was good especially thanks to the employees of the park We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

I waited 3 weeks to give this review to let my emotions subside so I could give a fair logical review. The bathroom is shared with the gas station (why??) and the cleanliness level as you would expect was on par with your standard Chevron station. There was only ONE sit-down toilet in the Men's room and there was literally a line waiting for it with gas station patrons every time I went. Very poorly designed. The internet did not work at all even though the owner over the phone stated it works fine during the day but can get bogged down at night. Okay fair enough, but it was never usable during the day either. He claimed he was streaming video just fine during the day and other guests had no problem and implied it was a problem on my end. My girlfriend had just got done talking to another neighbor about the unusable wifi. By the way, you will get a good wifi signal but you just can't bring up webpages. I couldn't even bring up the page to the Internet Speed test site to even tell you the download/upload speeds. I called his bluff, and I offered to let him show me this "streaming" he was doing knowing he wouldn't even be able to pull up the front page of youtube and he just turned around and walked way without saying a word. Very disrespectful! We felt very uncomfortable the rest of the time we were there. Scenery wise there is nothing here.. it is in the middle of nowhere.. very drab. I give it plus one point because at least the electricity and water worked properly. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

This park is 20 miles from Calgary and adjoins a modern truck stop. We were on the row closest the highway and the road noise does go down at night. The sites are large with grass and patios. We're in a 45-footer and was able to negotiate the pull-through site. They put small wooden rail fences up at the front and rear of the sites, likely to protect their sprinklers. Depending on your site these fences may make it tight to get in or out of. I thought the park was a bit remote, but a good value. We had 30 amp full hookup site. We stayed two nights and enjoyed the park's fireworks for Canada Day. Wi-Fi was unusable at the site. We were at the far corner of the campground and the Wi-Fi antenna was aimed at the opposite corner. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lovely setting in the country outside of Calgary (30 minute, easy drive to the city.) Large pitches with a few trees and little fences to provide some illusion of privacy. Excellent WI-FI. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed here prior to a rally meeting at this location. Although on a major road it quiets down at night. Nice spacing between rigs and level. Lots of large gravel on roadway. We were way in the back and had great Wi-Fi in the rig. Gas station, small cafe and store at front of park. Kind of a mini truck stop. Plenty of room to walk the dog. Good Verizon cell service most of the time, but did get disconnected a couple times. A bit of a drive to Calgary, but this is about as close as you want to be. Also just a short drive to light rail into Calgary. Park was gated with key card. We'd stay again for sure. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice, no frills campground close to Calgary. Small playground, gravel sites, nice large pull throughs with fire pits. Wi Fi worked well, laundry room was clean and easy to use. All in all, a great stay. We camped at Spring Hill RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
