The park is very conveniently accessed from the main highway going through Grande Prairie(Alaska Highway 97). Unfortunately, if you wish to have full hookups you must stay in the upper section of the park. Sites in this section are all back in and very tightly spaced. Electric and sewer connections are at the back of the sight so you will need long hoses and cords. Best sites are #45-#61 in the lower section. They are electric and water only so you must use the sani-dump station; however, these sites are nice, long and flat and easy to get into and out of. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

You are better off to get a drive through site without the sewer hook-up, then use the sani-dump. This park is accessed by driving through the local community college parking lot which is a very tight turn. Staff was very friendly and courteous and apologetic for tight spacing and road conditions.

Our site (#6) was a paved and not level back-in. Pad dropped off a lot at the back and had to go to the top of my trilevelers. Most of the full hookup sites are not long enough for rigs larger than 30 ft. When trucks are parked out in front, there is hardly any room to exit some sites. Larger rigs should use the 50 amp pull-throughs on the north side of the park. The Wi-Fi was not working when we arrived, but after two days the park got it working again. It worked well enough for Skype calls at times, but at night was definitely slower. I didn't try OTA TV, as last time here I only got 1 channel. Satellite TV worked well enough from our site and should be okay for most of the other sites, except a few obstructed by trees. The laundromat was clean, but only had 3 washers and 3 dryers. The traffic noise on the highway next to the park was horrendous at times. The E&W sites down near the reservoir are much quieter. For that reason, I would prefer staying at one of these sites next time in the area. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Great walking trails in the nearby Muskoseepi Park. Free Rotary club bus tour of Grande Prairie Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 6:30 pm from the tourist information centre, just north of the campground. The Philip J Curie Dinosaur Museum in Wembley well worth a visit.

We stayed in this park on our way to Alaska. We have a 45' MH pulling a 1500 Ram. We had a pull-through site. Each site was paved and the streets were paved. Nice grass divided each site and we had 50 amp service with great power. We had water, but the 50 amp sites do not have sewer but they have a dump station. One highlight of the park was the WiFi. It had very good WiFi and that is one of the reasons as well as the nice sites that a rated it a 9. For Canada this was a nice park. There were few trees and we were able to get US DirecTV and our AT&T service through Rogers was good. Another plus it was just a mile or two from Costco, Walmart, Home Depot etc etc. If we come back to Grande Prairie we will stay here again. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Motorhome.

Happy we stayed here. Had a back-in, FHU. Everything worked good. Visitor Center next door has a great bus tour every Tue/Wed/Thur and their WIFI is great. The Rotary Park, couldn't stay connected on weak signal. Convenient location, nice grounds by the College. Stayed 2 nights, would stay again. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Travel Trailer.

First time in over 10 years we have been able to reserve a full hookup site at this park due to a downturn in the local economy. Over the phone and in person the office staff were great, very professional and helpful. The full hookup sites aren't as scenic as some of the electric and water sites near the reservoir. The site pads aren't very long either. They are more suitable for units up to 30 ft. Big rigs are better off in the 50 amp electric and water pull-through sites. All the full hookups are back-in sites with 30 amp power. The power and water were on shared posts. Our site was fairly level with some downslope on the driver side. It included a picnic table and there was a community firepit nearby. All utilities worked fine. No cable TV, 1 channel off the air, and our site (#6) was open enough for satellite TV. Wi-Fi was frustrating most of the time. Lack of bandwidth and too many people on at the same time made it hard to stay on, and even when we could it was painfully slow. We noticed more traffic noise at this site than when we camped down below at the E&W sites. Clean and efficient laundromat. There is a playground down near the waterfront sites. Walking trails to Muskoseepi Park and the Discovery Centre (tourist info and museum). This park is still our favourite campground for this area and we will keep staying here in the future. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Visit the Dinosaur Museum in Wembley, about 20km west of Grande Prairie. Muskoseepi Park in Grande Prairie has an extensive trail system, museum, and swimming pool. Major's Family Restaurant had good homestyle food.

This is a nice park in town and just off the main drag. Road noise but it stops after 10. We were in space 25 right on the edge of a lake and a small playground nearby. Trees, a
grass and level ground made this extra comfortable for an overnight stay. Excellent wifi reception. Major stores nearby. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Even though the park does not encourage workers to stay here, it is still one popular park. If you want a full hookup be prepared to make a reservation. Even this late in the season there were none available and we had to get a power and water site. Our site (#25) actually has a lovely view of the lake. It was a paved back-in that required leveling blocks. A table was included with the site. The electric pedestal has a built in extension cord so no worries about hooking up. However, an extra water hose may be required depending how far back the rig is on the site. The section we were in has playground equipment inside the road loop. No cable TV, but found 1 channel off the antenna. Wi-Fi has been recently upgraded and it has more controls on it for usage metering. I encountered a problem hooking up with my computer's internal antenna and used my Hawking dish to access the internet. Internet access was pretty fast and consistent at first, but got bogged down by users during the evening and inclement weather. This is still my favourite RV park in Grande Prairie and will continue to come back even if I don't get a full hookup. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Motorhome.

At first look, $40 is a lot for what it is until what does not cost extra is considered. No extra for WiFi. Laundry was inexpensive. Biggest plus is that you can wash your RV onsite here at no extra charge. For anyone caked in mud returning from Alaska, this is greatly appreciated. The only grumble is that it could be signed better. Coming in off the highway we missed the turn & wound up going the wrong way in a one way system. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a clean campground with paved roads and campsites. There is an adjacent hike & bike trail suitable for cycling, walking, or running. A nearby bridge on the travel goes over a body of water with wildlife. A nearby park adds a good place to walk with a dog. The utilities and Wi-Fi worked well. Nearby are several opportunities for shopping and dining. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Motorhome.

Having been here before we knew the only sites available would be the electric and water ones, the full hookup sites being reserved months ago. The campground is divided into three sections. In the center are the full hookups, north side are long pull-throughs for bigger rigs, and south side where smaller units have back-ins. Our site was a not very level paved back-in with 30 amp power. Something new from the last time we were here is the addition of extension cords at some of the sites. Unfortunately our site extension cord had a problem and had to be removed. We had our own extension cord, so we were still able to hook up okay. No cable TV, but 3 channels off the antenna. Wi-Fi had a strong signal. Good enough for Skype phone calls. The campground is situated in a large park that has walking paths to the tourist information centre and down along the creek. We would stay here again as it is conveniently located close to the town and has a playground where our grand kids can play while visiting us. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice staff. Clean facilities. We arrived on a weekend, without reservations, and we got the last site. (Reservations are recommended here.) Strong Wi-Fi signal. View of lake. Nice playground. Only drawbacks - traffic noise from the adjacent Hwy 43 Bypass, and the transients who sleep by the lake and come into the campground to steal things. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Site an unlevel paved back-in. Power and water only as all the full hookups reserved months in advance by seasonals. Our section had short sites compared to the pull through section, but it was quieter. Also tow vehicles had to park on the driveway loop which made maneuvering into some sites a challenge. The campground is next to a reservoir and a trail leads to a large park and the visitor center. We managed to get 3 TV channels off our antenna. Wi-Fi was strong. Campground provides a code for access. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Motorhome.

Rotary Campground is conveniently located to Muskoseepi Park, and a number of stores are within walking distance. It's a pleasant little campground right in the city of Grande Prairie, but there is not much noise from the road that goes past. A short walk across the bridge leads to a walking trail through the Muskoseepi Park. The campground is well maintained, and the washrooms are spotless. The host couple who maintain the park are very friendly and helpful, and definitely add to the stay there. All sites have at least power and water, and there are many sites with a fire pits as well. There's a sandy playground for children set right in the middle of the south side of the park. I've always found it a nice place to stay any time I'm in Grande Prairie. We camped at Rotary Campground in a Travel Trailer.
