Surprisingly quiet for a packed CG over a long weekend. Some leveling was necessary and the hookups were on the wrong side. Really awkward location. I wonder if the designer has ever seen a RV in person. Some privacy but you will be aware of your neighbors activities. Free WiFi at the office, dump on the way out. Overall a very good location to stay and explore Calgary. Super friendly staff. Farmers market just around the corner. Dump on the way in/out. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Truck Camper.

Overall Rating:

This was our second stay at George Lane. Lots of large trees which gave shade for hot days. They have no services or just electric. Would be nice if they could at least get water in sites also as filling up with water is not that convenient. The station where you get water and dump sewage is in a very difficult place at the entrance to the park. Line up to dump or fill up is long, as they only have one station. The line up will block day use parking and this park is very well used in the summer. They need to relocate this area. Other than that one complaint we will return to this campground. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We were fortunate to say here as the last day of the season is traditionally September 30 and we arrived October 1st! Fortunately a Cowboy Poetry event allowed for an extra day. Beautiful park setting. Great washrooms with many washroom and shower stalls. Very very close to town. Extremely friendly helpful hosts. We will definitely stay here again! We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Truck Camper.

It was a small campground, the people who worked there were very friendly and helpful. The only problem was they did not enforce "quiet times" We had neighbors who sat around their fire until 2:45 a.m. and talked on the top of their lungs with no respect to other campers who were sleeping. Other campers played loud music past the quiet time. We will not be returning. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

This park suffered extensive damage after the floods of 2013. Fortunately, the town has done a good job of restoring it and it looks just fine. At the time of our stay, construction in the downtown area limited access into the park. The main entrance at 5th Ave. was the only way in. Our site (#1) was a fairly long gravel pull-in surrounded by grass or trees and included a picnic table and fire ring. You could back-in, but then the power pedestal would be on the wrong side. Water is available from a spigot near site 49. Narrow park road would make it hard for traffic to get by while filling up. Nicely landscaped park, but the posts along the road may be a hindrance to big rigs. Some sites are pretty tight as I spotted one awning only partially out due to trees in the way. No cable TV, but received a couple of OTA channels. Most sites would not be able to pick up any satellite due to the trees. Wi-Fi was a Telus open channel that had enough bandwidth for just about anything including streaming. If ever in the area again, we might check out campgrounds up near Okotoks that have full hookups instead of coming here. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Love this place, great shade trees at every site. Hosts were very nice and helpful. Right in town and surrounded by city park. very quiet and peaceful. Only two problems and very minor ones for us, almost all sites are back in, and our electric hookup was on the wrong side. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

We camp here every weekend and have for the last nine years. Hosts are friendly, and park is full of trees, gate is locked a 11 pm. Camp ground is located in the center of town so it is nice to be able to just go and walk around town. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Hard to find but worth the effort. Cute and cozy. They run a tight ship. Showers were clean and plenty of hot water. BEWARE, our site had a black painted 3' pole to protect the electrical service. Unfortunately I didn't see it as it "rubbed" the side of our RV. We were passing through on our way to Alaska. Only one night but we enjoyed our stay. EARLY RISERS, the gates are locked until 7:30 am. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Park located right in the heart of High River. Sites are tight and sometimes tricky to get into. No Wi-Fi and only had water and power, but dump station was in good shape. Maintained by the city of High River. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in High River is a gem! It's roughly a 30 minute drive from Calgary. We love staying here and are excited to tell you about it. It's hidden in the trees with lots of fun things to do for all ages. The staff is always friendly and the campground is spotless. Love the new washrooms with great showers. Quiet time is at 11pm sharp! Shopping etc is close by. Don't miss the Whistle Stop Cafe in town. Great spot for breakfast or lunch. We also love the cinnamon buns from Ross' Bakery. The best I've ever had. Looking forward to going back soon! We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

These people are attentive as as accommodating as they could possibly be. Quiet hours are strictly observed which makes this park a dream come true to the family travelers. Washrooms, playground, all sites are kept impeccably clean and the showers here are free!!! The cost of firewood can add up so if you have the option to find some free wood on your way here, take advantage of that. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

57 campsites among the trees (most are back-in); some suitable for big rigs. Electric hookups only; central water and dump station; no Wi-Fi. Easy walk into town and groceries! It was a nice place, but seemed a bit pricey for the lack of services. We camped at George Lane Memorial Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.
